Behind a climate of fear\u2014marked by arbitrary arrests of political leaders, systematic human-rights violations, suppression of free expression, information controls\u2014the junta is trying to deceive the international community with illegitimate procedures that exclude the people\u2019s will.\ufffdHe urged all UN member states to reject the sham election and called on the international community to support Myanmar people\u2019s efforts to build a peaceful, inclusive federal democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) At least five civilians killed in junta airstrikes in Mawkhi area<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>m.CDM, Nov 21<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Mawkhi, Hpruso Township, Kayah (Karenni) State, junta jets bombed the KD mining site around 8 a.m., Nov 21, killing at least five civilians\u2014mostly mine workers\u2014and injuring many others.\ufffdFacilities at Factory No. 2 and toward Nyaungpin were also bombed; casualties there are not yet known.\ufffdEarlier, on Aug 17 and 20, airstrikes in the same area killed 33 civilians and injured at least 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3) Girl (16) killed by junta drone strike in Oaktwin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>m.CDM, Nov 21<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A drone-dropped bomb hit a house in Thayettaw village, Oaktwin Township, Bago Region, at 9:40 a.m., Nov 21, killing Ma Chan Mimi Aung (16) and injuring her younger siblings Ywan Mimi Aung (10) and Ma Ywan Mimi Zaw.\ufffdOn Apr 15, an airstrike on Thaungtan village (Oaktwin) killed a 35-year-old couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4) People\u2019s Defense Force \u2013 Mandalay suspends two central committee members, detains them<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>m.CDM, Nov 21<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PDF\u2013Mandalay Central Leading Committee announced the suspension and detention (since Oct 15) of Ko Montine (Head of Military Affairs) and Ko Naing Gyi (Head of Finance &amp; Fundraising) for violating rules and illegally taking high-value assets.\ufffdEarlier decisions in August and confirmations in September required the return of assets and acceptance of penalties, but non-compliance escalated the case beyond internal discipline. The matter has been referred to the PDF General Headquarters for decision.\ufffdThe public notice aims to pre-empt rumors that could harm the revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5) Prisoner convoy ambushed in Chauk; one political prisoner rescued<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>m.CDM, Nov 21<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Chauk Township, Magway Region, resistance units mined and attacked a convoy transporting five political prisoners from the town police station, rescuing one: Ko Baw Net Shine (aka Moe Nyo) of Chauk Guerrilla Force, arrested in 2023.\ufffdGroups involved: PDF\u2013Chauk, Chauk Guerrilla Force, Magway District Special Attack Force 5 \u2013 Chauk, and Tiger Fighter Force.\ufffdReports say two police were killed; negligent escort officers were detained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6) Over 900 foreign nationals detained in Shwe Kokko raids within three days; BGF denies Saw Chit Thu fled<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>m.CDM, Nov 21<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BGF and the junta began raids on online scam (\u201cKyar Phyant\u201d) compounds in New Shwe Kokko on Nov 18. Within three days, 900+ foreigners from 22 countries were detained, BGF spokesman Lt. Col. Naing Maung Zaw told Thailand\u2019s The Reporters on Nov 20.\ufffdMost detainees are Chinese; authorities seized 20,000+ phones and 2,653 computers, searched 22 buildings, and blocked escape routes to Thailand.\ufffdHe said operations continue; timelines and completion rates are unclear.
