The Mokoke Strategic Command<\/strong> and Mokoke People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha)<\/strong> have issued a call to soldiers who have been separated from their units, urging them to rejoin the fight<\/strong> and resume their revolutionary duties<\/strong> to defend Mokoke City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the announcement, these soldiers had played a vital role in the Spring Revolution<\/strong>, contributing their blood, sweat, and sacrifices<\/strong> as an essential force in the people\u2019s struggle. The call for their return was made in recognition of their past service and commitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the current military situation<\/strong> in Mokoke, where it has become necessary to launch counteroffensives against junta-controlled positions<\/strong>, the Mokoke forces have invited all former revolutionary soldiers<\/strong> within the township to rejoin and fight alongside their comrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a time when Mokoke City is facing intense military pressure<\/strong>, the Mokoke Pa Ka Pha<\/strong> has urged everyone to stand together<\/strong> and coordinate attacks<\/strong> against the violent junta troops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mokoke Strategic Command expressed understanding toward those who had been temporarily separated from the unit for various reasons, emphasizing that it values their experience<\/strong>, capability<\/strong>, and dedication<\/strong> to the revolution. It therefore encouraged them to rejoin the revolutionary frontlines<\/strong> and continue fighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement further stated that those who wish to resume duty must make contact within seven days<\/strong>. Any soldiers who fail to reconnect after the deadline will be formally declared as deserters<\/strong> and will face penalties in accordance with the Military Desertion Law<\/strong> issued by the Ministry of Defense (MOD)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A sergeant from the 6th Signal Battalion (Sa Thar Ya 6)<\/strong>, based in Kalay<\/strong>, defected to the Monywa People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha)<\/strong> after being ordered to deploy to the Rakhine frontline<\/strong>, according to a statement released today (October 31) by the Monywa Township People\u2019s Defense Committee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sergeant, who escaped on October 29<\/strong>, made contact with the Special Attack Unit No. 2 \u2014 \u201cTaw Kywel Gyi Pyauk Kyar\u201d Team<\/strong> under the Monywa Pa Ka Pha, and surrendered unarmed<\/strong> to the revolutionary forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was reported that he defected directly from the Rakhine deployment route. The Monywa People\u2019s Defense Committee<\/strong> confirmed that an investigation is underway<\/strong> to determine whether he was involved in any war crimes<\/strong> during his service under the junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The committee reiterated that defectors will not be mistreated, tortured, or abused in any way<\/strong>, and assured that if no involvement in war crimes is found<\/strong>, they will be accepted according to their intention to defect<\/strong> and reintegrated respectfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In previous days, two junta troops who had been stationed at the Kyaukkar Shweguni Pagoda compound<\/strong>, used as a temporary military outpost, also defected to the Monywa Pa Ka Pha\u2019s Special Operations Unit No. 2<\/strong>, surrendering with one MA-3 rifle and one MA-11 rifle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Monywa People\u2019s Defense Committee therefore urged all soldiers and conscripts<\/strong> who wish to ensure their own safety and regain the goodwill of the people<\/strong> to defect and surrender to revolutionary forces. It added that all defectors will be warmly welcomed<\/strong> and treated with care and respect<\/strong> upon surrender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
