According to a statement released today, October 29, by the Karen National Union (KNU) Headquarters, the Karen Office of Relief and Development (KORD)<\/strong> has provided over 1 billion kyats (1,008,140,000 MMK)<\/strong> in assistance to 42 villages<\/strong> within Khale-Lwee Htoo District<\/strong>, an administrative region under KNU\u2019s Kaw Thoo Lei-controlled territory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aid distribution was carried out on October 15<\/strong>, led by officials from both KORD<\/strong> and the district administration<\/strong>, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 42 villages, located within Saw Htee and Le Doe Townships<\/strong>, comprise 2,790 households<\/strong> with a total population of 14,402 people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KNU statement explained that these villages have been facing severe hardship as a result of human rights violations<\/strong> committed by the terrorist junta forces<\/strong>, including airstrikes<\/strong> and heavy artillery attacks<\/strong>. In addition to these assaults, the region recently suffered from natural disasters<\/strong>, leaving residents in serious need of basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Two Junta Soldiers Killed by Landmine Attack While Attempting to Collect Extortion Money in Monywa Township<\/strong>
October 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Monywa Dynamite \u2013 Special Task Force (STF)<\/strong> announced today, October 29, that two junta soldiers were killed<\/strong> when revolutionary forces launched a landmine attack against junta troops who had come out from Taopupyw Saothi Village<\/strong> in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, to extort money from civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack occurred in the morning of October 26<\/strong>, according to the STF\u2019s report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A convoy of approximately 20 junta soldiers<\/strong> from Taopupyw Saothi Village \u2014 notorious for repeated extortion \u2014 was ambushed with three directional landmines<\/strong> planted by revolutionary forces along the Monywa\u2013Mandalay highway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The explosion took place at around 6:40 a.m.<\/strong>, killing one junta soldier on the spot<\/strong> and injuring six others<\/strong>, some with severe leg and arm injuries<\/strong>. One of the wounded soldiers later died from his injuries<\/strong>, the STF confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The joint operation was carried out by BRAVE HEART ARMY (BHA)<\/strong>, MONYWA DYNAMITE \u2013 STF<\/strong>, and CHINDWIN FIGHTER GROUP (CFG)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The STF added that no casualties occurred<\/strong> among the revolutionary fighters during the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Clash in Tanintharyi Township Leaves Junta Officer Among the Dead<\/strong>
October 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a report released today, October 29, by Battalion No. (2) of Myeik District<\/strong>, a battle broke out between the terrorist junta troops<\/strong> and revolutionary joint forces<\/strong> in Tanintharyi Township, Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>, resulting in casualties including a junta officer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The clash occurred at around 2:00 p.m. on October 28<\/strong>, near Lay Mile Village<\/strong>, where junta troops had set up camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Battalion No. (2) of Myeik District reported that at least one junta officer<\/strong> was among those killed or injured<\/strong> during the fighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta troops stationed near Lay Mile Village reportedly set fire to several civilian homes<\/strong> and looted properties<\/strong>, according to the same source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the revolutionary side, one resistance fighter was killed<\/strong> and another sustained non-life-threatening injuries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given the escalating conflict in Tanintharyi Township, Battalion No. (2)<\/strong> has urged local residents and travelers<\/strong> to remain cautious and vigilant while moving around the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
