KORD Provides Over 100 Million Kyats in Aid to 42 Villages in Khale-Lwee Htoo District<\/strong><br><strong>October 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a statement released today, October 29, by the Karen National Union (KNU) Headquarters, the&nbsp;<strong>Karen Office of Relief and Development (KORD)<\/strong>&nbsp;has provided&nbsp;<strong>over 1 billion kyats (1,008,140,000 MMK)<\/strong>&nbsp;in assistance to&nbsp;<strong>42 villages<\/strong>&nbsp;within&nbsp;<strong>Khale-Lwee Htoo District<\/strong>, an administrative region under&nbsp;<strong>KNU\u2019s Kaw Thoo Lei-controlled territory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aid distribution was carried out on&nbsp;<strong>October 15<\/strong>, led by officials from both&nbsp;<strong>KORD<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>the district administration<\/strong>, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 42 villages, located within&nbsp;<strong>Saw Htee and Le Doe Townships<\/strong>, comprise&nbsp;<strong>2,790 households<\/strong>&nbsp;with a total population of&nbsp;<strong>14,402 people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KNU statement explained that these villages have been facing severe hardship as a result of&nbsp;<strong>human rights violations<\/strong>&nbsp;committed by the&nbsp;<strong>terrorist junta forces<\/strong>, including&nbsp;<strong>airstrikes<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>heavy artillery attacks<\/strong>. In addition to these assaults, the region recently suffered from&nbsp;<strong>natural disasters<\/strong>, leaving residents in serious need of basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Two Junta Soldiers Killed by Landmine Attack While Attempting to Collect Extortion Money in Monywa Township<\/strong><br><strong>October 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Monywa Dynamite \u2013 Special Task Force (STF)<\/strong>&nbsp;announced today, October 29, that&nbsp;<strong>two junta soldiers were killed<\/strong>&nbsp;when revolutionary forces launched a landmine attack against junta troops who had come out from&nbsp;<strong>Taopupyw Saothi Village<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Monywa Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, to&nbsp;<strong>extort money from civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack occurred in the&nbsp;<strong>morning of October 26<\/strong>, according to the STF\u2019s report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A convoy of approximately&nbsp;<strong>20 junta soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;from Taopupyw Saothi Village \u2014 notorious for repeated extortion \u2014 was ambushed with&nbsp;<strong>three directional landmines<\/strong>&nbsp;planted by revolutionary forces along the&nbsp;<strong>Monywa\u2013Mandalay highway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The explosion took place at around&nbsp;<strong>6:40 a.m.<\/strong>, killing&nbsp;<strong>one junta soldier on the spot<\/strong>&nbsp;and injuring&nbsp;<strong>six others<\/strong>, some with&nbsp;<strong>severe leg and arm injuries<\/strong>. One of the wounded soldiers later&nbsp;<strong>died from his injuries<\/strong>, the STF confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The joint operation was carried out by&nbsp;<strong>BRAVE HEART ARMY (BHA)<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>MONYWA DYNAMITE \u2013 STF<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>CHINDWIN FIGHTER GROUP (CFG)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The STF added that&nbsp;<strong>no casualties occurred<\/strong>&nbsp;among the revolutionary fighters during the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3.
