During U.S. President Donald Trump\u2019s visit to Japan, Myanmar nationals living in Japan made a heartfelt appeal calling for effective action to help address Myanmar\u2019s crisis, according to a statement released by the NUG Support Team Japan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The demonstration was held near the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo<\/strong>, where Myanmar nationals residing in Japan, democracy activists, and Japanese citizens concerned about Myanmar\u2019s democratic struggle gathered to participate. Numerous media outlets were also present to document and report on the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, the participants urged President Trump to take effective measures to support Myanmar\u2019s democratic forces<\/strong>, hold accountable the terrorist military commission led by Min Aung Hlaing<\/strong> for its human rights violations<\/strong> and criminal activities<\/strong> that threaten regional stability, including drug trafficking, online financial scams, and war crimes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also appealed for vigilance against China\u2019s growing regional influence<\/strong>, which has been backing and supporting the Myanmar military regime<\/strong>, and called for the voices and aspirations of the Myanmar people<\/strong> to be heard and respected in shaping international responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, democracy activists from Japan\u2019s Myanmar community submitted an open letter to the U.S. Government<\/strong>, which was confirmed to have been received before President Trump\u2019s participation in the ASEAN Summit<\/strong>, with acknowledgment of receipt already conveyed back to the organizers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also announced plans to strongly oppose the junta\u2019s attempt to hold an unlawful election<\/strong> and to continue people\u2019s protest movements<\/strong>. Myanmar nationals in Japan were urged to continue actively participating<\/strong> from wherever they are located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 2. Human Rights, Child Rights, and Mine Risk Awareness Trainings conducted across three townships in Sagaing Region<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Human Rights<\/strong> has announced that Human Rights, Child Rights, and Mine Risk Awareness Trainings<\/strong> were conducted throughout Min Mu<\/strong>, Wuntho<\/strong>, and Tee Chaing<\/strong> Townships in Sagaing Region<\/strong> during the month of October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Min Mu Township<\/strong>, residents from 15 villages<\/strong> attended the training, while in Wuntho Township<\/strong>, students, teachers, and parents participated. Along with mine risk awareness education, stationery and nutritional support<\/strong> were also provided to the attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, in Tee Chaing<\/strong> and Wuntho Townships<\/strong>, participants were briefed on human rights awareness, complaint mechanisms, child protection, and mine risk prevention<\/strong>. Members of the Pa Ah Pha (PDF)<\/strong> groups, students, teachers, and local residents also took part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trainees expressed appreciation for learning about rights and protections previously unfamiliar to them. Some parents shared that they plan to apply the lessons learned to better guide and protect their children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These trainings and support activities were organized and led by officials from the Ministry of Human Rights<\/strong> under the National Unity Government (NUG).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 3. Karen National Police Force completes Basic Short-Term Training Batch No. 1 in Le Mular Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Karen National Union (KNU)<\/strong>, in its Myeik-Tavoy District<\/strong>, Le Mular Township<\/strong>, Tapo Village Tract<\/strong>, has announced the successful completion of the Basic Short-Term Training (Batch 1)<\/strong> for members of the Karen National Police Force (KNPF)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training was conducted from September 29 to October 25<\/strong>, with 27 trainees<\/strong> participating. Upon completion, the No. 1 KNPF Unit<\/strong> was officially formed within Tapo Village Tract<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Led by senior officials of the Le Mular Township Karen National Police Force (KNPF)<\/strong>, the training aimed to strengthen law enforcement, community peace and stability, and anti-narcotics operations<\/strong> within the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The curriculum included instruction on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Criminal Procedure Law<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n

    These subjects were systematically taught to ensure that trainees could apply legal principles and enforcement practices effectively within their respective jurisdictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To help address challenges such as limited access to medical care<\/strong> and financial hardship<\/strong>, the Political Department<\/strong> and the Health Department<\/strong> of Special Region (1)<\/strong>, Mong Koe District<\/strong>, jointly organized a free medical treatment program<\/strong> on October 23, 2025<\/strong>, at Kyong Haw Tan Village<\/strong> in Mong Koe Township<\/strong>, according to a statement released by the MNDAA (Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Healthcare staff conducted blood pressure and blood glucose checks<\/strong>, as well as general medical examinations, for those who came to receive treatment. They also took time to patiently and thoroughly explain medical concerns<\/strong>, and provided professional guidance<\/strong> on the prevention and treatment of chronic illnesses.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Additionally, team members actively promoted public health awareness<\/strong>, encouraging scientific and health-conscious living habits<\/strong>, balanced dietary management<\/strong>, and the principle that \u201cprevention is more important than cure.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The program successfully provided medical services to a total of 163 villagers<\/strong> from Kyong Haw Tan Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In a similar effort, to alleviate labor shortages<\/strong> faced by some farmers during the winter crop harvesting season<\/strong>, and to ease the time pressure<\/strong> of timely harvesting, more than 20 staff members<\/strong> from the Special Region (1) Mong Koe District Administrative Committee<\/strong> assisted in implementing agricultural labor support programs<\/strong> to help local farmers complete their harvests efficiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In collaboration with the Asia Sisterhood Network<\/strong>, the organization People\u2019s Goal (Pyithu Pantai)<\/strong> conducted a Gender-Based Violence Awareness Program<\/strong> on October 23<\/strong> in Mae Sot City<\/strong>, according to an official statement released by People\u2019s Goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    During the awareness session, topics discussed included gender-based violence<\/strong>, abuse rooted in gender inequality<\/strong>, and acts of harm caused by violations of gender norms and standards.<\/strong> Participants also engaged in interactive discussions and exchanges<\/strong> to deepen their understanding of these issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A total of 25 participants<\/strong>\u2014including CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) soldiers, police officers, and their family members<\/strong>, as well as civilian CDM staff and activists<\/strong>\u2014attended the awareness program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    According to local reports, a brutal attack<\/strong> occurred in Mandalay City<\/strong>, Chanmyathazi Township<\/strong>, Myothit (2) Ward<\/strong>, between 70(B) Street<\/strong> and 107(A)\/108 Streets<\/strong>, where two women were attacked with a machete<\/strong> on the morning of October 26<\/strong>, resulting in the death of an 84-year-old elderly woman.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The incident is believed to have taken place on the night of October 25<\/strong>, and was first discovered around 7:00 a.m. on October 26<\/strong> by a visitor to the house. The deceased was identified as the 84-year-old homeowner (grandmother)<\/strong>, while the injured woman<\/strong> was her domestic helper<\/strong>, according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The elderly woman was found dead in the living room on the ground floor<\/strong>, sitting on a chair, with severe head injuries and skull fractures<\/strong> consistent with being struck by a machete.
    The injured domestic helper, found on a bed inside the same room, sustained three wounds<\/strong>\u2014one deep cut to the top of her head<\/strong>, one to the left forehead<\/strong>, and another to the left side of her jawline.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
