According to the Wetlet Informational Network<\/strong>, seven civilians were injured when the terrorist junta\u2019s air force<\/strong> carried out airstrikes using Y-12 aircraft<\/strong> and gyrocopters<\/strong> on villages across Wetlet Township<\/strong>, Sagaing Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At approximately 9:47 a.m. on October 26<\/strong>, a Y-12 aircraft<\/strong> originating from Tada-U Air Base<\/strong> dropped 49 bombs<\/strong> along the Wetlet\u2013Ywarthagyi road section<\/strong> in western Wetlet Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reports indicate that one of the injured civilians sustained a head injury<\/strong> caused by bomb shrapnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, two gyrocopters<\/strong> that departed from the Monywa-based No. (NAMAKHA)<\/strong> unit dropped two bombs<\/strong> on another area in western Wetlet Township at around 10:30 a.m. on October 26<\/strong>, according to records from the Wetlet Informational Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A day earlier, on October 25<\/strong>, the same Y-12 aircraft from Tada-U Air Base<\/strong> dropped 37 bombs<\/strong> on the western part of the township. Although there were no civilian casualties that day, it was part of a continuous series of air assaults by the junta forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to two consecutive days of these terrorist airstrikes<\/strong>, local residents from the affected areas have been forced to flee for safety<\/strong>, the report stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. \u201cCeasefire Agreement Is Not Genuine Peace,\u201d Says MNDAA Commander-in-Chief on the Second Anniversary of Operation 1027<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA)<\/strong> stated that the existing ceasefire agreement<\/strong> with the military junta<\/strong> is only a temporary, stage-based outcome<\/strong>, not genuine peace. He emphasized the need for continued vigilance and strategic understanding in order to achieve true peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His remarks were made on October 25<\/strong> during the graduation ceremony of Week-1 Cadet Batch<\/strong>, marking the second anniversary of Operation 1027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that the current ceasefire is not the final stage of peace<\/strong>, urging all troops to remain alert as the road toward true peace remains distant<\/strong>. The MNDAA\u2019s statement added that the achievements gained since Operation 1027<\/strong> were obtained through the blood, sweat, and sacrifices of countless comrades<\/strong>, and that all commanding officers must remember this history<\/strong> and value those results<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 66-day-long training program was successfully held despite the tight security and complex circumstances<\/strong> in the Special Region<\/strong>, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commander-in-Chief further stated that the cadet training<\/strong> was part of a long-term strategic initiative<\/strong> aimed at creating a core force capable of bravely and effectively engaging in future battles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MNDAA<\/strong>, along with its allied forces AA<\/strong> (Arakan Army) and TNLA<\/strong> (Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army), launched Operation 1027<\/strong> on October 27, 2023<\/strong>, targeting junta military bases, battalions, and headquarters across northern Shan State<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, the MNDAA successfully captured major cities and towns including Lashio, Laukkai, Chin Shwe Haw, Mone Koe, Hsenwi, Kunlong, Panlon, Kwanlon, Sandhi, Tar Moe Nye, and Pan Sein<\/strong>, along with the Eastern Military Region Headquarters (Ya Ma Kha)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, under pressure from the Chinese government<\/strong>, the MNDAA was compelled to return control of Lashio<\/strong> to junta forces in April 2024<\/strong>, while continuing administrative operations in other captured towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, October 27<\/strong>, marks the second anniversary<\/strong> of Operation 1027<\/strong>, which remains one of the most significant and strategically successful operations since the coup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Kanpetlet Township Administration Warns Against Holding Gatherings Following Junta Airstrikes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kanpetlet Township People\u2019s Administration Team<\/strong> in Chin State<\/strong> has issued a public warning advising residents not to organize mass gatherings or events<\/strong>, following recent airstrikes<\/strong> by the terrorist junta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The warning was issued on October 26<\/strong>, after consecutive junta air attacks on October 24 and 25<\/strong>, which targeted the town and surrounding areas. The attacks have raised serious safety concerns among local residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement also advised people to construct protective bomb shelters<\/strong> to mitigate the risks of future air raids, as the junta\u2019s air force continues to commit indiscriminate and brutal attacks<\/strong> against both civilians and resistance forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 24<\/strong>, at around 9:30 a.m.<\/strong>, the junta air force bombed Ward No. (2)<\/strong> in Kanpetlet using 500-pound bombs<\/strong>, followed by another airstrike at 8:20 p.m. on October 25<\/strong> targeting the same town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attacks killed three civilians<\/strong>, injured 15 others<\/strong>, and destroyed five houses and three buildings<\/strong>, according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, the Township Department of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management<\/strong> has also appealed to local residents to avoid unnecessary gatherings and crowded places<\/strong> during the coming days for their safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Public Movement in Pyin Oo Lwin Protests the Dictatorial Regime and Its Sham Election<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Pyin Oo Lwin<\/strong>, a town known both as the \u201cCity of Flowers\u201d<\/strong> and a stronghold of military training schools<\/strong>, the public staged a protest movement<\/strong> opposing the dictatorial regime<\/strong> and its planned sham election<\/strong>, according to the People\u2019s Movement Coordination Committee \u2013 Mandalay<\/strong>, which released the statement today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite being home to numerous junta military institutions, residents of Pyin Oo Lwin have continued to resist the dictatorship<\/strong> in various forms during the nearly five years since the military coup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In defiance of the regime and its fraudulent election plans<\/strong>, local residents staged public demonstrations at several prominent locations in the city \u2014 including the welcome sign<\/strong>, city clock tower<\/strong>, railway station<\/strong>, and night market<\/strong> \u2014 displaying their courage, determination, and revolutionary spirit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Coordination Committee reported that Pyin Oo Lwin residents continue to face ongoing oppression, including arbitrary arrests, forced conscription, and extortion<\/strong> by junta soldiers and militia groups. Consequently, anger and defiance toward the military regime<\/strong> remain widespread among the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people are said to strongly reject the junta\u2019s sham election<\/strong>, viewing it as another illegitimate attempt to justify military rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resistance leaders reiterated that since the People\u2019s Revolution<\/strong> belongs to the people themselves, citizens must continue to resist the military dictatorship in every possible way<\/strong> without submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Tay Zar San<\/strong>, a leading figure in the Mandalay People\u2019s Strike Committee<\/strong>, also urged citizens to stand united until the revolution achieves victory, reaffirming that their generation is determined to be the last to fight against dictatorship<\/strong> and will not stop until the struggle is won.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
