The National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment<\/strong>, in collaboration with the CDM Success Committee<\/strong>, held a ceremony on October 26<\/strong> to honor the contributions made by Nway Oo Lottery<\/strong>, which generated a net profit exceeding 700 million kyats<\/strong> during the 2024\u20132025 fiscal year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the ceremony, Prime Minister and Chairperson of the CDM Success Committee, Man Win Khaing Than<\/strong>, delivered an honorary opening address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing<\/strong> of the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment<\/strong> explained the achievements of the Nway Oo Lottery\u2019s honor contribution process for the 2024\u20132025 fiscal year and the upcoming implementation plans. A representative from Nway Oo Lottery<\/strong> also presented a comprehensive report on operational activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding financial support from Nway Oo Lottery to the CDM Success Committee<\/strong>, the Financial Support Taskforce\u2019s Focal Leader<\/strong> presented details of the monthly honorary fund disbursement to ministries and explained the allocation procedures based on the percentage of CDM personnel within each ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by Prime Minister Man Win Khaing Than<\/strong>, Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, members of the CDM Success Committee, CDM ministry focal points, and representatives from Nway Oo Lottery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the ceremony, Deputy Minister Min Zeya Oo<\/strong> of the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment officially transferred the Nway Oo Lottery\u2019s over 700 million kyats in fiscal year-end profit<\/strong> through the CDM Success Committee to the relevant ministries in recognition of their contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting from March 2024<\/strong>, the Nway Oo Lottery, through the CDM Success Committee, has been providing a monthly honor fund of 700 million kyats<\/strong> to CDM personnel across various ministries. Throughout the 2024\u20132025 fiscal year<\/strong>, a total of 840,000,000 kyats<\/strong> was contributed as honorary support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 2. \u201cVictory Spear \u2013 Dawna Force\u201d Campaign Launched by Dawna Column Calls for Public Participation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dawna Column<\/strong>, operating under the Special Military Region Command of the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of the National Unity Government<\/strong>, has launched the \u201cVictory Spear \u2013 Dawna Force\u201d<\/strong> campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revolutionary forces are urging the public and supporters to actively participate in this campaign, which aims to strengthen the Dawna Column\u2019s capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign has set a fundraising target of 20 million kyats<\/strong>, to be used primarily for essential military equipment, communications devices, and emergency medical supplies for frontline soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the campaign organizing team,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

40%<\/strong> of the collected funds will go toward purchasing combat gear such as bulletproof vests, helmets, uniforms, and boots<\/strong>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

30%<\/strong> will be allocated for communications equipment<\/strong>, including small-scale communication devices and Starlink systems<\/strong>, and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

the remaining 30%<\/strong> will be used for emergency medicine and essential rations<\/strong> needed due to challenging field conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commander Ye Baw Aung San Shar<\/strong> and former Ayeyarwady Region Chief Minister Man Johnny<\/strong> have also called on the public to support and contribute to this campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contributors can donate via Spring Crowd Fund<\/strong> or obtain detailed participation information through the Dawna Column \u2013 Fundraising Team Facebook Page<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The campaign period runs from October 16 to November 16<\/strong>, during which the revolutionary forces continue to urge public participation and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 3. Political Prisoner Chan Min Htine Dies in Myingyan Prison Due to Lack of Medical Care<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Political Prisoners Network (Myanmar) \u2013 PPNM<\/strong> announced today (October 27) that political prisoner Chan Min Htine<\/strong>, who was unlawfully detained in Myingyan Prison, Mandalay Region<\/strong>, has died due to inadequate medical care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, he had been suffering from kidney failure, heart disease, and jaundice<\/strong> and died on October 18<\/strong> while still in detention at Myingyan Prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chan Min Htine had been unjustly arrested and sentenced to 15 years and 6 months imprisonment<\/strong> under Section 505(a) of the Penal Code, Telecommunications Law, Explosives Law, and Arms Law<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was only 29 years old<\/strong> at the time of his death, according to PPNM\u2019s statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PPNM reports that political prisoners across Myanmar continue to face life-threatening conditions due to inadequate access to medical treatment and the denial of timely healthcare<\/strong>, resulting in preventable deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From January to October of this year<\/strong>, the PPNM recorded the deaths of 28 political prisoners<\/strong> across the country due to lack of proper medical care and emergency treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 4. Thinni District Police Accelerate Burmese Language Learning to Overcome Communication Barriers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Thinni District Police Force<\/strong> in Special Region 1 of the Union of Myanmar<\/strong> has been intensifying its Burmese language learning program to address communication difficulties, according to Kokang News Network<\/strong>, the media department of the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The district police reportedly recognized the importance of ethnic languages in carrying out their duties and have therefore strengthened their Burmese language and daily speaking courses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training aims to help officers overcome language-related challenges<\/strong> they encounter in field operations, enhance inter-ethnic communication and cooperation<\/strong>, and ensure that police officers perform their duties effectively and professionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the course, deputy police chiefs, departmental officers, and instructors<\/strong> are actively participating as learners, setting an example for 20 police personnel<\/strong> who are also taking part attentively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program is conducted in the evening hours<\/strong> to avoid interference with regular duty schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since Thinni District<\/strong> is home to many different ethnic communities<\/strong>, the ability to overcome language barriers is seen as essential to improving public service quality<\/strong>, ethnic unity<\/strong>, and social development<\/strong>. The Thinni District Administration Committee<\/strong> had also previously organized similar Burmese language and communication courses<\/strong>, the report added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
