He emphasized that their work contributed to the success of the&nbsp;<strong>revolution<\/strong>&nbsp;and was therefore a matter of great honor. Their efforts, he noted, benefited not only the revolution but also the broader public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister explained that individuals currently serving prison sentences had been convicted by the courts for criminal offenses committed within the governed territories. Justice For Myanmar Urges ASEAN to End Complicity in the Junta\u2019s International Crimes and Reject the Sham Election<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 24<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Justice For Myanmar (JFM)<\/strong>&nbsp;has called on&nbsp;<strong>ASEAN<\/strong>&nbsp;to end its complicity in the international crimes committed by Myanmar\u2019s military junta and to oppose the regime\u2019s efforts to hold a&nbsp;<strong>fraudulent and illegitimate election<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This appeal was issued ahead of the&nbsp;<strong>47th ASEAN Summit<\/strong>&nbsp;scheduled to take place in&nbsp;<strong>Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to JFM\u2019s statement, ASEAN\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>Five-Point Consensus<\/strong>&nbsp;has failed to bring any progress, while the junta continues its&nbsp;<strong>brutal military offensives<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>transnational crimes<\/strong>&nbsp;against civilians, aided and abetted by&nbsp;<strong>support from ASEAN member states and regional businesses.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JFM accused ASEAN-based companies of supporting the junta through their involvement in sectors such as&nbsp;<strong>aviation fuel, oil and gas, timber, and technology<\/strong>, thereby enabling its ongoing atrocities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement highlighted that while the junta is preparing for a&nbsp;<strong>sham election<\/strong>, it continues to carry out&nbsp;<strong>airstrikes, mass killings, sexual violence, torture, and village burnings<\/strong>, while&nbsp;<strong>illegally detaining over 22,000 people<\/strong>, intensifying&nbsp;<strong>internet censorship<\/strong>, and expanding&nbsp;<strong>surveillance operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JFM urged ASEAN to&nbsp;<strong>reject the junta\u2019s sham election<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>bar its representatives<\/strong>&nbsp;from ASEAN meetings, and&nbsp;<strong>support the Myanmar people\u2019s struggle for democracy and justice.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group also called on ASEAN member states and their businesses to&nbsp;<strong>cut financial, arms, technological, and aviation fuel support<\/strong>&nbsp;to the junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JFM spokesperson Yadanar Maung<\/strong>&nbsp;stated that the junta\u2019s so-called election was&nbsp;<strong>not a path to democracy<\/strong>, but rather a&nbsp;<strong>scheme designed to legitimize its violent rule.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>3.
