In Karen State\u2019s Myawaddy Township, the military junta\u2019s Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 22 launched a large-scale offensive operation in the Lay Kay Kaw area<\/strong>, deploying over 1,200 troops<\/strong> divided into three tactical columns<\/strong>. Over the course of a month-long operation, approximately 150 junta soldiers, including one Deputy Battalion Commander<\/strong>, were killed, according to The People\u2019s Spring News Agency<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation, which began on September 23<\/strong>, involved an estimated 400 troops per column<\/strong>, advancing from the Taw Htar\u2013Kyauk Gu<\/strong>, Lay Kay Kaw<\/strong>, and Thee Meh Wah Khee<\/strong> directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the month, there were around 45 separate clashes<\/strong>, resulting in 150 junta casualties<\/strong>, including the Deputy Battalion Commander<\/strong>, and over 200 others wounded<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Captain Thura Saw Dar Baw<\/strong> stated,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMost of the soldiers the regime deployed are forcibly conscripted civilians. Many of them are being driven to the frontlines to fight, and those who attempt to flee are executed on the spot. There are many such forced conscripts and ordinary soldiers dying in these battles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, four junta soldiers defected and surrendered with their weapons<\/strong>, while one junta soldier was captured alive<\/strong>, and five firearms<\/strong> were seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Revolutionary Joint Forces<\/strong> are continuing counterattacks against junta columns near Min Let Pan<\/strong> and Phalu villages<\/strong>, though several resistance fighters have also been reported injured or fallen in battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the clashes, junta artillery fire caused the deaths of five civilians<\/strong>, injured two others<\/strong>, and burned down dozens of homes<\/strong> in the Lay Kay Kaw area. Many local residents have since been forced to flee for safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 25, around 3:00 p.m.<\/strong>, a junta column of about 200 troops<\/strong> advancing from Yankin Pagoda<\/strong> towards Myintha Village<\/strong> in Nwar Htoke Gyi Township<\/strong> clashed with joint revolutionary forces from the Myingyan District Army (MDA-4)<\/strong> and Natogyi PDF<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The column included units from the Myingyan District Battalion 4<\/strong> and Battalion 10<\/strong>, as well as allied forces from the Pa Ka Pha (Pyithusit militia)<\/strong> and other regime-affiliated groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta forces used heavy artillery support during the offensive, but the revolutionary joint forces successfully counterattacked. In the ensuing battle, one junta Major<\/strong> and at least seven soldiers<\/strong> were killed. The fighting ended around 5:30 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resistance forces seized one MA-5 rifle<\/strong> and one dead junta soldier\u2019s body<\/strong> during the engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 1, around 2:13 p.m.<\/strong>, junta troops set fire to Myintha Village<\/strong> and continued marching toward Dine Lel Village<\/strong> with a force of over 250 soldiers<\/strong>. They again clashed with the same revolutionary alliance \u2014 including Myingyan District Battalions 4 and 10<\/strong>, the Pa Ka Pha militia<\/strong>, and Myingyan Drone Force<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After three hours<\/strong> of intense combat, junta troops suffered heavy casualties<\/strong>, lost unit cohesion<\/strong>, and were forced to retreat. Resistance forces captured four soldiers alive<\/strong> and confirmed over ten junta fatalities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weapons seized included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MA-11 (3 rifles), G-3 (2 rifles), MA-1 (1 rifle), MA-5 (2 rifles),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From October 9 onward<\/strong>, multiple engagements took place between a 200-strong junta column<\/strong> advancing from Naw Kan Village<\/strong> toward Ein Gyi Taw Village<\/strong> in Maline Township<\/strong> and the same Myingyan Battalions 4 and 10<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 12<\/strong>, during the fourth day of battle, the resistance launched coordinated assaults in both Maline<\/strong> and Taungtha Townships<\/strong>, killing over 20 junta soldiers<\/strong>, including Captain Kyaw Min<\/strong>, who had led troops in widespread atrocities \u2014 the rape and murder of over 20 women<\/strong> and the burning of civilian homes<\/strong>. Five junta soldiers<\/strong> were also captured alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weapons seized included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MA-1 (6 rifles), MA-2 (5 rifles), MA-3 (6 rifles), MA-4 (1 rifle),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RPG (1), M79 (2), RPG rounds (12),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Various grenades and explosives: 15 \u00d7 40mm grenades, 11 \u00d7 60mm shells,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6,078 rounds of mixed ammunition, 25 mortar shells,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later that same day (October 12<\/strong>), another clash erupted when a 200-strong junta column<\/strong> from Myingyan Battalions 4 and 10<\/strong> attacked Ein Gyi Taw Village<\/strong> in Maline Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta suffered heavy losses<\/strong>, prompting reinforcements from Naw Kan Police Station<\/strong> and additional support from Myingyan Battalions 1 and 8<\/strong>, as well as the Pa Ka Pha militias<\/strong> from Nwar Htoke Gyi<\/strong> and Tant Ta U<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the reinforcements were ambushed mid-route<\/strong> by revolutionary forces and also suffered significant casualties<\/strong>. Resistance fighters seized:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MA-1 (4 rifles), MA-2 (2 rifles), MA-3 (4 rifles), and one 60mm short mortar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Mandalay Region\u2019s Myingyan District<\/strong>, resistance fighters attacked three junta vehicles<\/strong> traveling along the Myingyan\u2013Nwar Htoke Gyi road<\/strong>, resulting in one junta soldier killed<\/strong> and the seizure of several weapons and ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to joint statements by Myingyan District Battalions 7 and 8<\/strong>, the attack took place on the morning of October 21<\/strong>, when resistance forces conducted a sudden ambush on three double-cab vehicles<\/strong> carrying junta troops, police officers, and Pyu Saw Htee militiamen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the engagement, one junta soldier was confirmed dead<\/strong>, while the rest fled with injuries. Resistance forces recovered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation was carried out jointly by Myingyan District Battalion 7 (Zero Tiger Force)<\/strong> and Battalion 8<\/strong>, both of which withdrew safely without casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Fierce Clashes Continue in the Eastern Part of Matayar Township \u2014 Revolutionary Forces Forced to Retreat from Three Villages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to local sources, intense fighting broke out at around 9:00 a.m. on October 22<\/strong> to the north of Nga Lone Pyone Village<\/strong> in Matayar Township<\/strong>, as the military junta forces<\/strong> launched a large-scale offensive across farmlands and open fields with a significant number of troops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revolutionary forces<\/strong> defended and counterattacked using artillery, machine guns, and light weapons<\/strong>, but due to the junta\u2019s suicidal assault strategy<\/strong>, they were compelled to withdraw from around three villages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta also carried out bombing attacks using kamikaze drones<\/strong>, resulting in some casualties among revolutionary fighters<\/strong>. The battle continued intensely from 9:00 a.m. until around 3:00 p.m.<\/strong>, and when heavy rainfall began, the junta regained control over the eastern parts of Thapyay Hla, Kywel Kya, and Saikthar villages<\/strong>, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At around 5:00 p.m.<\/strong>, gunfire subsided, and the junta reinforced its troops with five vehicles<\/strong> and stationed them on the hill south of Saikthar Village<\/strong>, local sources said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Karen National Union (KNU) Central Command<\/strong> reported that three innocent civilians<\/strong> were injured after the terrorist junta forces<\/strong> deliberately targeted and attacked civilians with drones<\/strong> within the Kaw Thoo Lei administrative territories<\/strong> of Muu Township<\/strong> and Saw Htee Township<\/strong>, both under KNU-controlled Nyaung Lay Bin District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack occurred at around 2:57 p.m. on October 20, 2025<\/strong>, when the terrorist junta<\/strong> launched drone strikes<\/strong> into Yay Lae Village<\/strong>, injuring three residents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
