PDF Forces Launch Attack on Military Commission Camp in Ywar Thit Village \u2014 15 Soldiers, Including Battalion Commander, Killed; 2 Captured Alive<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 21 \u2014 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a statement released by the&nbsp;<strong>Naypyitaw PDF<\/strong>, revolutionary forces attacked a&nbsp;<strong>military commission battalion<\/strong>&nbsp;that had set up camp in&nbsp;<strong>Ywar Thit Village<\/strong>, located east of the Sittaung River in&nbsp;<strong>Yedashe Township, Bago Region<\/strong>. The assault resulted in the&nbsp;<strong>deaths of 15 junta troops, including the battalion commander<\/strong>, and the&nbsp;<strong>capture of 2 soldiers alive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack occurred on&nbsp;<strong>October 20<\/strong>, when the&nbsp;<strong>strategic combat column<\/strong>&nbsp;formed under the command of&nbsp;<strong>Operation Area No. (2)<\/strong>&nbsp;of the&nbsp;<strong>Naypyitaw Military Command<\/strong>&nbsp;launched an offensive against the junta unit of about&nbsp;<strong>60 troops<\/strong>&nbsp;stationed in the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the engagement,&nbsp;<strong>15 soldiers<\/strong>, including the&nbsp;<strong>battalion commander Nyi Nyi Naing<\/strong>, were killed, while&nbsp;<strong>2 others were captured alive<\/strong>. Seized from the site were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 MA-11 rifle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 MA-3 rifle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 G-3 rifles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 60mm mortar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 pistol<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5 mortar shells (60mm)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 magazines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 drone jammer device<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approximately 1,000 rounds of ammunition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 generator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The deceased commander,&nbsp;<strong>Lieutenant Colonel Nyi Nyi Naing<\/strong>, was identified as the leader of&nbsp;<strong>Air Defense Battalion (LAKTA-2029)<\/strong>. Reports state that he&nbsp;<strong>resisted capture<\/strong>&nbsp;by drawing a pistol and was&nbsp;<strong>shot dead on the spot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the clash,&nbsp;<strong>junta troops retreated from their base<\/strong>, allowing the revolutionary forces to&nbsp;<strong>completely overrun the camp<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>liberate villagers who had been trapped<\/strong>&nbsp;under junta bombardment and airstrikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the&nbsp;<strong>military council forces have reinforced their positions<\/strong>&nbsp;and are attempting to&nbsp;<strong>re-enter the area<\/strong>, leading to&nbsp;<strong>continuing skirmishes<\/strong>. Junta Airstrike Kills 3 Children, Injures 12 Civilians in Mogok<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 21 \u2014 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a statement by the&nbsp;<strong>PSLF\/TNLA Brigade (4)<\/strong>, an airstrike by the&nbsp;<strong>military council<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Mogok City<\/strong>, a region under the brigade\u2019s control in&nbsp;<strong>Mandalay Region<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>killed three children<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>injured twelve civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At&nbsp;<strong>2:58 p.m. on October 21<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<strong>fighter jet<\/strong>&nbsp;dropped&nbsp;<strong>two 250-pound bombs<\/strong>&nbsp;on an area near the&nbsp;<strong>Kan Thone Lone Futsal Field<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Kan Taw Quarter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The explosion&nbsp;<strong>instantly killed three children<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ma Mun Thu (aged 12)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ma Khu Tha (aged 6)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ma Char Shee (aged 10)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally,&nbsp;<strong>12 civilians, including other children<\/strong>, sustained injuries, and&nbsp;<strong>11 houses<\/strong>&nbsp;along with&nbsp;<strong>one futsal field<\/strong>&nbsp;were&nbsp;<strong>damaged<\/strong>&nbsp;by the blast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. Three Junta Soldiers Defect With Weapons in Tanintharyi and Naungcho Townships<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 21 \u2014 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to separate reports,&nbsp;<strong>three junta soldiers defected with their weapons<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Tanintharyi Township (Tanintharyi Region)<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Naungcho Township (Shan State)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>September 28<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>October 2<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>two soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 103<\/strong>&nbsp;contacted the&nbsp;<strong>People\u2019s Defense Forces (PDF)<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Tanintharyi Township<\/strong>&nbsp;and successfully&nbsp;<strong>defected<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The defectors brought with them&nbsp;<strong>one MA-2 rifle<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>four magazines<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>260 rounds of ammunition<\/strong>.
