Six civilians, including a 10-year-old child, killed and four injured as junta airstrikes hit Kwan Hae Village, Namhkan Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (PSLF\/TNLA) Information and Public Relations Department has confirmed that six civilians \u2014 five women and one man \u2014 were killed, including a 10-year-old child, and four others were injured when the terrorist junta carried out airstrikes on&nbsp;<strong>Kwan Hae Village<\/strong>, Namhkan Township, in the 9th Brigade area of the Ta\u2019ang region in northern Shan State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, at&nbsp;<strong>8:25 p.m. on October 18<\/strong>, the junta forces deliberately targeted civilians, dropping&nbsp;<strong>two 250-pound bombs<\/strong>&nbsp;from aircraft onto the village. Those killed were identified as&nbsp;<strong>Lway Ni Lar Aung (10), Lway Ri Ri Hlaing (21), Lway San San Oo (21), Daw Aye Thaung (35), U Than Kyaw (42),<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Daw Aye Hain (47).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The four injured were&nbsp;<strong>Maing Kyaw Zay Yu (4), Daw Ei Aye (33), U Kyaw (68),<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Daw Saw Yin (77).<\/strong>&nbsp;A total of&nbsp;<strong>25 houses<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>four motorcycles<\/strong>&nbsp;were also destroyed in the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The previous night, the terrorist junta had also dropped a&nbsp;<strong>500-pound bomb<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>11-Mile Village<\/strong>&nbsp;in Kyaukme Township, injuring two monks and damaging one monastery and one monastic building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Records from the PSLF\/TNLA Information and Public Relations Department show that between&nbsp;<strong>October 1 and 17<\/strong>, the terrorist junta conducted&nbsp;<strong>27 airstrikes<\/strong>&nbsp;in townships controlled by Ta\u2019ang forces \u2014 including&nbsp;<strong>one attack on Mantong, three on Kyaukme, five on Hsipaw, one on Mongngawt, four on Monglon, four on Namhkan, five on Namtu, three on Mongmit, and one on Mogok.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within these&nbsp;<strong>17 days<\/strong>, the junta\u2019s aerial attacks have killed&nbsp;<strong>seven children, eleven men, and fourteen women<\/strong>; and injured&nbsp;<strong>eleven children, fourteen men, and fifteen women.<\/strong>&nbsp;The bombings also destroyed&nbsp;<strong>113 houses, three schools, two monasteries, six monastic buildings, and four other structures.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In light of these ongoing aerial assaults, the TNLA continues to issue near-daily warnings urging civilians to remain vigilant and to adhere to&nbsp;<strong>protective measures against airstrikes<\/strong>, to minimize casualties from the junta\u2019s indiscriminate attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9<strong>&nbsp;2. Junta attacked Laiza six times this year using suicide drones, KIA reports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Kachin Independence Organization\/Army (KIO\/KIA)<\/strong>&nbsp;has revealed that the&nbsp;<strong>terrorist junta<\/strong>&nbsp;has attacked&nbsp;<strong>Laiza<\/strong>, the KIO\/KIA headquarters,&nbsp;<strong>six times this year<\/strong>&nbsp;using&nbsp;<strong>suicide drones.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the KIO\/KIA Information Department, the junta carried out another drone attack on&nbsp;<strong>October 16 at around 11 p.m.<\/strong>, and the incident was reported in an official statement released on&nbsp;<strong>October 18<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack injured&nbsp;<strong>two Chinese vendors (a married couple)<\/strong>&nbsp;who were selling vegetables at Laiza\u2019s municipal market, and several market stalls were also damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KIO\/KIA further reported that similar drone attacks were launched against Laiza in&nbsp;<strong>September<\/strong>, making this the&nbsp;<strong>sixth such attack<\/strong>&nbsp;of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Historically, whenever junta troops have suffered defeats in ground battles with KIA forces, they have resorted to&nbsp;<strong>aerial bombardments and artillery shelling<\/strong>&nbsp;targeting Laiza. More recently, however, as the junta\u2019s military bases near Laiza have been overrun, the regime has increasingly shifted to using&nbsp;<strong>combat drones<\/strong>&nbsp;instead of conventional heavy weapons, according to field reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9<strong>&nbsp;3. Two junta soldiers killed, seven injured in attack on troops stationed inside Aung Thapyay Monastery compound, Launglon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>People\u2019s Defense Organization (PDO) of Launglon Township<\/strong>, Tanintharyi Region, has announced that&nbsp;<strong>two junta soldiers were killed and seven injured<\/strong>&nbsp;in an attack on junta troops stationed within the&nbsp;<strong>Aung Thapyay Monastery compound<\/strong>&nbsp;in Launglon town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The clash occurred on the&nbsp;<strong>morning of October 17<\/strong>, beginning at&nbsp;<strong>around 5:15 a.m.<\/strong>&nbsp;and lasting for about&nbsp;<strong>one and a half hours<\/strong>, during which both sides exchanged gunfire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta troops stationed inside Aung Thapyay Monastery were known for routinely&nbsp;<strong>intimidating and oppressing local civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 harassing passersby, arbitrarily detaining youths, forcing conscription, extorting money from travelers, and seizing civilian goods. Locals said these ongoing acts of terrorism prompted the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PDO reported that two junta soldiers were confirmed dead, while among the seven wounded,&nbsp;<strong>two were critically injured.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This operation was a&nbsp;<strong>joint attack<\/strong>&nbsp;carried out by the&nbsp;<strong>Dawei District Joint Forces<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>Launglon Than Mani Lipyar Defense Team<\/strong>, under coordinated command. No casualties were reported among the revolutionary forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Launglon PDO reaffirmed its commitment to&nbsp;<strong>continue fighting the fascist military dictatorship until its total elimination<\/strong>, declaring that the junta is the&nbsp;<strong>common enemy of the entire population.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9<strong>&nbsp;4. Deputy Police Chief and regional patrol officer severely injured in mine attack on Hmat Taing Police Station personnel, Paungde Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 19<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to local sources,&nbsp;<strong>two police officers<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 the&nbsp;<strong>Deputy Police Chief Aye Min Tun<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Regional Patrol Officer Aung Kyaw Htet<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 were seriously injured when a police patrol from&nbsp;<strong>Hmat Taing Police Station<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Paungde Township<\/strong>, western&nbsp;<strong>Bago Region<\/strong>, was struck by a landmine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At approximately&nbsp;<strong>9:15 a.m. on October 18<\/strong>, five police personnel from Hmat Taing Police Station, traveling on&nbsp;<strong>three motorcycles<\/strong>, were heading toward&nbsp;<strong>Ta Man Gyi Village<\/strong>&nbsp;to conduct checkpoint inspections when the&nbsp;<strong>mine exploded<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Shadow<\/strong>, an intelligence officer from the&nbsp;<strong>PPDF 3601 Battalion<\/strong>, confirmed the attack and the injuries sustained by the two officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That same day, junta forces were reportedly conducting&nbsp;<strong>territorial clearance and inspection operations<\/strong>&nbsp;in the surrounding area. The injured officers were transported by a&nbsp;<strong>covered vehicle<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>Pyay General Hospital<\/strong>, and follow-up inquiries into their condition are ongoing, according to Shadow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attacked police personnel were notorious for&nbsp;<strong>setting up illegal checkpoints under a banyan tree near Ta Man Gyi Village<\/strong>, where they&nbsp;<strong>arrested travelers<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>forcibly conscripted locals<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>confiscated consumer goods<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>extorted money<\/strong>, imprisoning those who could not pay.
