The Chinland Defense Force (CDF-Hakha)<\/strong> has issued a statement on October 14<\/strong>, strongly condemning the brutal airstrike<\/strong> carried out by the terrorist junta<\/strong> on a village school<\/strong> in Van Huar Village<\/strong>, Hakha Township, Chin State<\/strong>, around 10 a.m. on October 13, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the statement, the junta\u2019s aerial bombardment killed an 8-year-old boy<\/strong> and a 12-year-old girl<\/strong>, while 21 others were injured<\/strong>, including two critically wounded<\/strong> victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CDF-Hakha expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with the families of the victims and the villagers, stating that Van Huar Village was not a CDF-Hakha base<\/strong>, but a civilian learning center for children<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deliberate targeting of this civilian school, the statement emphasized, represents a serious violation of international humanitarian law<\/strong>, fundamental human rights<\/strong>, and the laws governing armed conflict<\/strong>, constituting an outright war crime<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CDF-Hakha further noted that the junta\u2019s continued aerial bombings<\/strong> of civilian areas in Chin State amid preparations for its illegal pre-election period<\/strong> demonstrate the illegitimacy of the regime\u2019s so-called election<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It urged the public not to participate in the sham election<\/strong>, warning that effective action would be taken against those who collaborate with the junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement also called on the international community and local organizations<\/strong> to pressure the junta to immediately halt attacks on civilians, schools, hospitals, and religious buildings<\/strong>, and to ensure accountability<\/strong> for those who planned, authorized, and carried out<\/strong> these attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports from the Dura Column<\/strong>, at around 10 a.m. on October 13<\/strong>, revolutionary forces launched an attack on over 100 junta troops<\/strong> moving with weaponry and ammunition<\/strong> from Battalion 302<\/strong>, near Maung May Shaung Village<\/strong> in Dawei Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The clash resulted in five junta soldiers killed<\/strong>, while the resistance fighters managed to retreat safely without casualties<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the escalation of military operations in Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>, the Dura Column urged civilians to remain highly cautious<\/strong>, limit movement, and stay informed about airstrike alerts and air defense measures<\/strong>, as air raids could occur at any time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement also appealed to junta soldiers and police officers who wish to stand on the side of truth and the people<\/strong> to defect from the regime<\/strong> and join the people\u2019s cause as soon as possible<\/strong>, as revolutionary momentum continues to intensify nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intense clashes between the Kachin Independence Army (KIA)<\/strong> and the terrorist junta forces<\/strong> continue in Hpakant Township, Kachin State<\/strong>, resulting in the deaths of over 30 junta soldiers<\/strong>, according to KIA military sources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A deputy battalion commander<\/strong> from the junta side was also injured<\/strong>, sources confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to their losses, the junta carried out airstrikes<\/strong>, dropping bombs on the battlefield. During the fighting, KIA forces reportedly captured a trained sniper<\/strong> from Battalion 384<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, clashes in Bhamo Township<\/strong> on October 13<\/strong> left a junta officer severely injured<\/strong>\u2014believed to be in critical condition<\/strong>\u2014and civilian casualties<\/strong> have also been reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Pa Ka Pha (Naga Byauk Kyar Column) \u2013 Southern Pauk Division<\/strong>, at around 9 a.m. on October 12<\/strong>, resistance forces captured a Pyu Saw Htee supporter named U Pway<\/strong> near Tat Kone Pyu Saw Htee Village<\/strong> while conducting a security patrol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One knife<\/strong> was seized from his possession. U Pway reportedly admitted<\/strong> that he was a junta supporter and was outside searching for food supplies<\/strong>, though not carrying any weapon<\/strong> at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is currently under interrogation, and if evidence of wrongdoing is confirmed, he will be handed over to the Pauk Township People\u2019s Administration Team<\/strong> and the People\u2019s Security Force<\/strong> for further legal action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pa Ka Pha stated that U Pway was one of seven Pyu Saw Htee-linked individuals<\/strong> captured recently in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Karen National Union (KNU) \u2013 Myeik-Dawei District<\/strong>, around 12 noon on October 14, 2025<\/strong>, the terrorist junta<\/strong> launched another jet fighter airstrike<\/strong> on Mae Thamee Khee (Htee Khee) Village<\/strong> in Thimaw Plaw area<\/strong>, Myeik-Dawei District<\/strong>, destroying a civilian-owned building<\/strong> and injuring several villagers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KNU reported that the junta, desperate to maintain its grip on power<\/strong>, is trying to forcibly hold sham elections<\/strong> in areas under its control, while intentionally terrorizing civilians<\/strong> through aerial bombings<\/strong> in KNU-administered territories<\/strong>\u2014areas that it had previously lost control of<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attacks are part of the junta\u2019s broader campaign to instill fear among the population<\/strong> and suppress resistance<\/strong> ahead of its illegitimate election<\/strong>, the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to local reports, the terrorist junta forces and the Pa-O National Organization (PNO)<\/strong> jointly set fire to and destroyed the entire village of Baw Yan<\/strong>, located in Pekhon Township<\/strong>, near the border between Shan State and Karenni (Kayah State)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arson attack began around noon on October 13<\/strong> and continued through October 14<\/strong>, causing houses to burn for two consecutive days. Nearly the entire village was reduced to ashes<\/strong>, local residents confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the exact number of houses destroyed<\/strong> is still unknown, all villagers have reportedly fled to safety<\/strong>, escaping from the advancing troops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is further learned that since late September<\/strong>, junta troops and PNO members have raided and occupied villages<\/strong>, burning down Howo, Saung Lan, and Laik Kyine<\/strong> villages as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports from Monywa Roads Information<\/strong>, around 8 p.m. on October 13<\/strong>, five private vehicles<\/strong> carrying junta troops intercepted and arrested<\/strong> a group of young people returning from a stage show<\/strong> held in honor of the Sutaung Pyae Pagoda Festival<\/strong> on Monywa Riverbank Road<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is reported that approximately 32 youths<\/strong> were forcibly detained and taken away<\/strong> by the junta forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Residents said that apart from office hours<\/strong>, Monywa City remains almost deserted<\/strong>, with very few people seen outside, as fear of arbitrary arrests and abductions<\/strong> continues to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
