\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. At Least Four Clashes Occur Within a Week in Karenni State as Junta Forces Intensify Offensives and Conduct Arson Attacks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a statement released by the Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF)<\/strong>, junta troops have launched military offensives across multiple townships in Karenni State<\/strong>, including the eastern part of Loikaw Township<\/strong>, Demoso Township<\/strong>, Pruso Township<\/strong>, Bawlakhe Township<\/strong>, and Phek Khon Township<\/strong> along the Karenni\u2013Southern Shan border. Over the past week, no fewer than four battles<\/strong> have taken place in these areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 6<\/strong>, a clash lasting about one hour broke out between junta troops stationed on a hill near Wan Ma Lan Village<\/strong>, Bawlakhe Township, and KNDF allied forces. Reports indicate that junta forces suffered significant casualties in the encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the same day, another intense battle lasting nearly three hours occurred when junta troops, together with PNO (Pa-O National Organization)<\/strong> forces, advanced into several villages along the Loilin Lay area<\/strong> in eastern Loikaw Township, near the Karenni\u2013Southern Shan border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, on October 7<\/strong>, junta troops operating with two columns in Lin Phon Gyi Village<\/strong>, Loilin Lay Township, clashed with Karenni revolutionary forces for nearly two hours. The junta troops reportedly retreated after sustaining heavy losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Again, on October 9<\/strong>, a junta column of over 60 soldiers<\/strong> launched another assault in the Lin Phon Gyi area, leading to a fierce two-day-long battle<\/strong> with Karenni revolutionary forces. The clash resulted in more than 10 junta soldiers killed<\/strong>, and four firearms with ammunition<\/strong> were seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, junta forces carried out airstrikes and arson attacks<\/strong> on civilian structures between Daw Nye Khu<\/strong> and Daw Ku Khu villages<\/strong> in Pruso Township<\/strong>, and the junta\u2013PNO joint force based at Tawng Salone Village<\/strong>, Phek Khon Township<\/strong>, raided and burned down Myauk Salone Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KNDF warned that the junta has been deploying large numbers of troops and launching intense offensives across Karenni State<\/strong> and along the Karenni\u2013Southern Shan border<\/strong>. It urged civilians living or traveling in these conflict areas, as well as residents across the state, to remain alert and prioritize safety and security awareness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the People\u2019s Star Force<\/strong>, an attack was carried out on October 12<\/strong> against a Pyu Saw Htee<\/strong> militia base stationed in Kyauk Pyut Village<\/strong>, Myingyan Township<\/strong>, Mandalay Region<\/strong>, resulting in 10 deaths<\/strong> among junta-backed militia members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation, which lasted about three hours<\/strong>, successfully overran the Pyu Saw Htee outpost, killing roughly 10 junta and Pyu Saw Htee members<\/strong> before the remaining forces fled the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The assault was jointly conducted by the People\u2019s Star Force<\/strong>, MGN Danger Dynamites<\/strong>, MGRF PDF<\/strong>, Tarlee Fight PDF<\/strong>, and Myingyan Pa Ka Pha (People\u2019s Defense Force)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, on October 10<\/strong>, resistance forces ambushed and destroyed another Pyu Saw Htee group<\/strong> led by Thida Yu Mon<\/strong>, which had been burning down villages along the Ywar Gyi\u2013Nyaung Pin Road<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That attack was jointly executed by the People\u2019s Star Force<\/strong>, MGN Danger Dynamites<\/strong>, and the Myingyan Pa Ka Pha<\/strong>, killing no fewer than 15 Pyu Saw Htee members<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Thunderbird Local Defense Force<\/strong> reported that on October 6<\/strong> (Full Moon Day of Thadingyut), a clash erupted along the East Byuha\u2013Chin Shwe Haw Road<\/strong> in Sagaing Township<\/strong> when junta troops attempted to advance through the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, three junta soldiers were killed<\/strong>, and several military supplies and equipment<\/strong> were seized. One resistance fighter from the revolutionary forces fell heroically in battle<\/strong>, according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The engagement involved Thunderbird Local Defense Force<\/strong>, Pa Du Township Pa Ka Pha<\/strong>, and other local resistance units<\/strong> operating in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to local sources and the Chinland Defense Force\u2013Hakha (CDF-Hakha)<\/strong>, junta air forces conducted a bombing raid<\/strong> on a school in Van Hah Village<\/strong>, Hakha Township<\/strong>, at around 10:30 a.m. on October 13<\/strong>, killing two students<\/strong> and injuring many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victims were identified as Johan (aged about 10)<\/strong> and Zin Cer<\/strong>, both students in Grade 3<\/strong> and Grade 5<\/strong>, respectively. Several other children remain missing<\/strong> following the airstrike, and search operations are ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A local resident reported that about 15 minutes after the initial bombing<\/strong>, the junta conducted a follow-up drone strike<\/strong> targeting the same area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Van Hah Village lies approximately 20 miles from Hakha<\/strong> and has no presence of revolutionary forces<\/strong>, making it a purely civilian area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a statement released by the PSLF\/TNLA (Palaung State Liberation Front \/ Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army)<\/em>, a male civilian was injured when junta forces launched an airstrike on Kyar Gyi Village<\/strong>, located in Namhsan Township<\/em>\u2014an area under the control of PSLF\/TNLA Brigade (9)<\/strong> in northern Shan State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack occurred at 12:55 p.m. on October 13<\/strong>, when junta forces deployed a fighter jet to drop six 250-pound bombs<\/strong> on the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the bombardment, 19-year-old Maung Aso<\/strong> sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. The strike also damaged two school buildings<\/strong> and six houses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, on October 4<\/strong>, junta forces carried out a similar airstrike on Zay Tone Hone Village<\/strong>, also in Namhsan Township. That attack killed two children<\/strong>, injured nine civilians<\/strong>\u2014including six other children<\/strong>\u2014and destroyed 16 houses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 6. Three Junta Soldiers Desert and Are Captured in Yaw Region: Two from Kyaukhtu-based Battalion (368) and One from Saw<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Yaw Alinn Tan<\/em> news outlet reported that two sergeants<\/strong> who deserted from the Kyaukhtu-based Battalion (368)<\/strong> under the junta\u2019s command, and one warrant officer<\/strong> who deserted from Saw<\/strong>, were captured by local defense forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, on October 9<\/strong>, the two sergeants deserted from Battalion (368) and later appeared in Yaw Myo Village<\/strong>, where they threatened locals at gunpoint while demanding alcohol. On October 10<\/strong>, around 8:30 a.m.<\/strong>, local residents together with members of the Defense Forces<\/em> successfully surrounded and captured the two deserters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities confiscated a MA-5 pistol<\/strong>, five 9mm bullets<\/strong>, one hand grenade<\/strong>, and one mobile phone<\/strong> from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following their desertion, the junta dispatched approximately 120 troops<\/strong> from Battalion (368) into Yaw Myo Village on October 10 and 11<\/strong> to conduct a search operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, on October 12<\/strong> in the evening, another warrant officer-ranked soldier<\/strong> who had deserted from Saw<\/strong> was also captured. All three deserters<\/strong> are now being questioned and investigated, according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 7. Junta Troops Raid Villages in Wundwin, Arbitrarily Arresting Young Men<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Voice of Wundwin<\/em>, junta troops have been raiding villages and arbitrarily arresting young men in Wundwin Township<\/strong>, Mandalay Region<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 11<\/strong>, junta forces stationed at Pintale<\/strong> entered Pae Nan Thar Village<\/strong>, firing indiscriminately and chasing villagers who fled in fear. Two civilians attempting to escape were reportedly shot at.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On their return route to Pintale<\/strong>, the junta troops abducted one young man each<\/strong> from Pulu Kone<\/strong> and Kan Gyi<\/strong> villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, on October 12<\/strong>, junta troops from Pintale<\/strong> arrived in Sin Thae Kway<\/strong> and Kway Gyi<\/strong> villages in military trucks, firing weapons into the air and entering homes to forcibly arrest residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During these raids, two young men<\/strong> from Sin Thae Kway Village<\/strong> and two<\/strong> from Kway Gyi Village<\/strong> were abducted. Parents were reportedly told that if they wanted their sons released, they would have to pay 2.5 million kyats per person<\/strong> by the same night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 8. 55 Junta Personnel Defect or Are Captured in Early October: People\u2019s Goal Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a statement by the People\u2019s Goal (Pyi Thu Pan Tai)<\/em> network, a total of 55 individuals<\/strong>\u2014including junta soldiers, police officers, and members of militia groups\u2014either defected or were captured as prisoners of war during the first week of October 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From October 1 to 7<\/strong>, 15 junta personnel<\/strong> defected to the resistance, comprising 14 soldiers<\/strong> and 1 police officer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the defecting soldiers, 2 were from Chin State<\/strong>, 1 from Bago Region<\/strong>, 2 from Yangon Region<\/strong>, 3 from Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>, 3 from Karen State<\/strong>, and 3 from Kayah State<\/strong>. Of these, 10 were newly conscripted soldiers<\/strong> forced into service under the military conscription law. The police officer was reportedly from Magway Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the same period, 40 junta personnel<\/strong> were captured as prisoners of war<\/strong>\u2014including 31 soldiers<\/strong> and 9 members of junta-aligned militias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The captured soldiers comprised 27 from Magway Region<\/strong> and 4 from Sagaing Region<\/strong>, with 23 of them<\/strong> being newly conscripted recruits. The militia members included 7 from Sagaing Region<\/strong> and 2 from Mandalay Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report added that between January 2025 and the first week of October 2025<\/strong>, a total of 2,176 junta personnel<\/strong> had either defected or been captured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
