Reports indicate that junta forces suffered significant casualties in the encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the same day, another intense battle lasting nearly three hours occurred when junta troops, together with&nbsp;<strong>PNO (Pa-O National Organization)<\/strong>&nbsp;forces, advanced into several villages along the&nbsp;<strong>Loilin Lay area<\/strong>&nbsp;in eastern Loikaw Township, near the Karenni\u2013Southern Shan border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, on&nbsp;<strong>October 7<\/strong>, junta troops operating with two columns in&nbsp;<strong>Lin Phon Gyi Village<\/strong>, Loilin Lay Township, clashed with Karenni revolutionary forces for nearly two hours. One Civilian Injured in Junta Airstrike on Kyar Gyi Village, Namhsan Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 13<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a statement released by the&nbsp;<em>PSLF\/TNLA (Palaung State Liberation Front \/ Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army)<\/em>, a male civilian was injured when junta forces launched an airstrike on&nbsp;<strong>Kyar Gyi Village<\/strong>, located in&nbsp;<em>Namhsan Township<\/em>\u2014an area under the control of&nbsp;<strong>PSLF\/TNLA Brigade (9)<\/strong>&nbsp;in northern Shan State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack occurred at&nbsp;<strong>12:55 p.m. on October 13<\/strong>, when junta forces deployed a fighter jet to drop&nbsp;<strong>six 250-pound bombs<\/strong>&nbsp;on the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the bombardment,&nbsp;<strong>19-year-old Maung Aso<\/strong>&nbsp;sustained injuries from bomb shrapnel. The strike also damaged&nbsp;<strong>two school buildings<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>six houses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, on&nbsp;<strong>October 4<\/strong>, junta forces carried out a similar airstrike on&nbsp;<strong>Zay Tone Hone Village<\/strong>, also in Namhsan Township. Three Junta Soldiers Desert and Are Captured in Yaw Region: Two from Kyaukhtu-based Battalion (368) and One from Saw<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 13<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Yaw Alinn Tan<\/em>&nbsp;news outlet reported that&nbsp;<strong>two sergeants<\/strong>&nbsp;who deserted from the&nbsp;<strong>Kyaukhtu-based Battalion (368)<\/strong>&nbsp;under the junta\u2019s command, and&nbsp;<strong>one warrant officer<\/strong>&nbsp;who deserted from&nbsp;<strong>Saw<\/strong>, were captured by local defense forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, on&nbsp;<strong>October 9<\/strong>, the two sergeants deserted from Battalion (368) and later appeared in&nbsp;<strong>Yaw Myo Village<\/strong>, where they threatened locals at gunpoint while demanding alcohol. On&nbsp;<strong>October 10<\/strong>, around&nbsp;<strong>8:30 a.m.<\/strong>, local residents together with members of the&nbsp;<em>Defense Forces<\/em>&nbsp;successfully surrounded and captured the two deserters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities confiscated a&nbsp;<strong>MA-5 pistol<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>five 9mm bullets<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>one hand grenade<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>one mobile phone<\/strong>&nbsp;from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following their desertion, the junta dispatched approximately&nbsp;<strong>120 troops<\/strong>&nbsp;from Battalion (368) into Yaw Myo Village on&nbsp;<strong>October 10 and 11<\/strong>&nbsp;to conduct a search operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, on&nbsp;<strong>October 12<\/strong>&nbsp;in the evening, another&nbsp;<strong>warrant officer-ranked soldier<\/strong>&nbsp;who had deserted from&nbsp;<strong>Saw<\/strong>&nbsp;was also captured. Two civilians attempting to escape were reportedly shot at.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On their return route to&nbsp;<strong>Pintale<\/strong>, the junta troops abducted&nbsp;<strong>one young man each<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>Pulu Kone<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Kan Gyi<\/strong>&nbsp;villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, on&nbsp;<strong>October 12<\/strong>, junta troops from&nbsp;<strong>Pintale<\/strong>&nbsp;arrived in&nbsp;<strong>Sin Thae Kway<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Kway Gyi<\/strong>&nbsp;villages in military trucks, firing weapons into the air and entering homes to forcibly arrest residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During these raids,&nbsp;<strong>two young men<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>Sin Thae Kway Village<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>two<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>Kway Gyi Village<\/strong>&nbsp;were abducted. Parents were reportedly told that if they wanted their sons released, they would have to pay&nbsp;<strong>2.5 million kyats per person<\/strong>&nbsp;by the same night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>8. 55 Junta Personnel Defect or Are Captured in Early October: People\u2019s Goal Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 13<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a statement by the&nbsp;<em>People\u2019s Goal (Pyi Thu Pan Tai)<\/em>&nbsp;network, a total of&nbsp;<strong>55 individuals<\/strong>\u2014including junta soldiers, police officers, and members of militia groups\u2014either defected or were captured as prisoners of war during the&nbsp;<strong>first week of October 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From&nbsp;<strong>October 1 to 7<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>15 junta personnel<\/strong>&nbsp;defected to the resistance, comprising&nbsp;<strong>14 soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>1 police officer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the defecting soldiers,&nbsp;<strong>2 were from Chin State<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>1 from Bago Region<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>2 from Yangon Region<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>3 from Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>3 from Karen State<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>3 from Kayah State<\/strong>. Of these,&nbsp;<strong>10 were newly conscripted soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;forced into service under the military conscription law.
