Seven civilians, including two children, killed in junta airstrike on Momeik Township<\/strong><br><strong>October 10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) reported on the night of October 9 that seven civilians\u2014including two children\u2014were killed when the terrorist military forces launched an unprovoked airstrike on Momeik Township, located in northern Shan State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to TNLA, at around 7 p.m. on October 9, the junta forces dropped three 250-pound bombs on Weh Baung Village in Momeik Township, killing four men and three women instantly, and injuring eight others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, ten civilian homes were hit and destroyed by the blasts from the military\u2019s bombing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>TNLA also confirmed that on October 7, the junta carried out another airstrike on Man Hun Village in Mainlong Township, dropping two 250-pound bombs from aircraft. That attack killed ten civilians\u2014including one child\u2014and injured three others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the junta announced on October 1 that it had retaken control of Kyaukme, it has continued near-daily airstrikes on territories under TNLA control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response, TNLA urged local civilians to remain alert to military activities and to practice all possible measures for air-raid protection to safeguard their lives against the junta\u2019s repeated aerial attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Junta launches renewed airstrike and machine-gun attack on Thi Khi Village, Tanintharyi Region<\/strong><br><strong>October 10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Karen National Union (KNU) of Myeik\u2013Dawei District, the terrorist junta forces launched a fresh air and ground attack this morning, October 10, targeting Thi Khi Village in Dawei Township, Tanintharyi Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At around 8 a.m., the junta deployed FTC-2000G fighter jets to bomb the village twice and followed up with two rounds of strafing using onboard machine guns, the KNU reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack damaged and destroyed civilian properties, forcing local residents to flee their homes in search of safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thi Khi Village\u2014also known as Mae Thamee Khi\u2014was seized by the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Brigade 4 in May this year. Nay Pyi Taw PDF forms Strategic Unit No. 19 to strengthen military operations<\/strong><br><strong>October 10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF) of Nay Pyi Taw announced today, October 10, that it has established&nbsp;<strong>Strategic Unit No. 19<\/strong>&nbsp;to enhance and expand its military operations within the&nbsp;<strong>No. 2 Military Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The formation ceremony for Strategic Unit No. 19, under the National Unity Government\u2019s Ministry of Defense, was held on the morning of October 9 in the&nbsp;<strong>Sit Taung Myit Wun area<\/strong>, a resistance-controlled zone near Nay Pyi Taw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attending the ceremony were officers and soldiers from the Nay Pyi Taw Regional Military Command, including those assigned to Strategic Unit No. 19 and its subordinate battalions\u2014Battalion 806, 807, 808, and 901\u2014along with their commanders, deputy commanders, and members of the Nay Pyi Taw Regional Command Coordination Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The establishment of Strategic Unit No. 19 marks a significant step in strengthening the operational capacity and coordination of resistance forces operating around the Nay Pyi Taw area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. People\u2019s Defense leader from Pyay Township killed after resisting junta arrest<\/strong><br><strong>October 10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Battalion 2 of Pyay District, Bago Region, a local People\u2019s Defense leader named&nbsp;<strong>Hla Myint<\/strong>&nbsp;was captured alive but later shot dead after resisting arrest by the terrorist junta forces, who have been conducting raids and arresting youth across Pyay Township in connection with preparations for their unlawful election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report states that on the morning of&nbsp;<strong>October 6<\/strong>, around&nbsp;<strong>10 a.m.<\/strong>, junta forces apprehended&nbsp;<strong>Hla Myint<\/strong>, the leader of the local People\u2019s Defense group from&nbsp;<strong>Khway Ye Chin Yoke Kone Village<\/strong>, in&nbsp;<strong>Paung Talin Village Tract<\/strong>, near&nbsp;<strong>Wan Tin Seik Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arrest was carried out by soldiers from&nbsp;<strong>Battalion 2 (3602)<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Battalion 1 (3601)<\/strong>&nbsp;under the command of&nbsp;<strong>Bago Regional Command\u2019s Tactical Operation 21<\/strong>, who later claimed that Hla Myint was shot and killed after he tried to break free during questioning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta forces seized one&nbsp;<strong>CO\u2082 gas pistol<\/strong>, used to fire projectiles with explosive charges, a&nbsp;<strong>motorbike<\/strong>, and a&nbsp;<strong>mobile phone<\/strong>&nbsp;from him, according to their announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deceased,&nbsp;<strong>Hla Myint<\/strong>, was identified as the leader of the&nbsp;<strong>Pyusawhti<\/strong>&nbsp;militia in northern Paung Talin, who had been working closely with the junta by collecting information about local youths, supplying intelligence to the&nbsp;<strong>Paung Talin Police Station<\/strong>&nbsp;and military officers, and assisting in preparations for the junta\u2019s unlawful election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reports indicate that Hla Myint\u2019s Pyusawhti group had been actively conducting door-to-door population checks, enforcing forced military conscription, and making arbitrary arrests in the Paung Talin area and nearby villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the seizure of Hla Myint\u2019s phone, junta intelligence units claimed to have obtained lists of resistance members from Paung Talin and&nbsp;<strong>Wethee Kan<\/strong>&nbsp;areas, and said they would pursue \u201ceffective actions\u201d against those allegedly aiding the People\u2019s Defense Forces or the junta\u2019s election campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Red Star<\/strong>, the information officer of Pyay District Battalion 2, stated that resistance groups are urging the public to remain vigilant, monitor junta informants and collaborators in their communities, and continue reporting information to revolutionary forces to help counter the regime\u2019s repression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5.
