NUG Provides Aid to Civilians Displaced by Fighting in Banmauk Township, While Junta and SNA Forces Arrest Over 200 Residents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 9<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to&nbsp;<strong>ongoing clashes<\/strong>&nbsp;in and around&nbsp;<strong>Banmauk Township<\/strong>, residents from several surrounding villages and four neighborhoods in the town have been forced to&nbsp;<strong>flee their homes<\/strong>&nbsp;to seek safety, according to a statement released by the&nbsp;<strong>Banmauk Township People\u2019s Administrative Committee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was reported that civilians from around&nbsp;<strong>15 villages<\/strong>&nbsp;have been displaced, urgently needing&nbsp;<strong>food, clothing, blankets, and mosquito nets<\/strong>. Local communities have been encouraged to&nbsp;<strong>donate and provide humanitarian assistance<\/strong>&nbsp;for those affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organizations under the&nbsp;<strong>National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong>&nbsp;have also been providing&nbsp;<strong>medical supplies and other necessities<\/strong>&nbsp;to over&nbsp;<strong>1,000 displaced civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>Katu ethnic villages<\/strong>&nbsp;across Banmauk Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile,&nbsp;<strong>joint forces of the junta and the Shan Ni Army (SNA)<\/strong>&nbsp;reportedly&nbsp;<strong>arrested more than 200 local residents<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>A Lel Village<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Sak Taw Village<\/strong>&nbsp;in Banmauk Township. Among those detained were elderly individuals over 60 years old who had taken refuge inside&nbsp;<strong>monasteries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Witnesses stated that the arrested villagers were&nbsp;<strong>blindfolded and loaded into covered vehicles<\/strong>, which then transported them westward. Junta and SNA troops also conducted&nbsp;<strong>search operations in nearby forests and hills<\/strong>, capturing more men who had been hiding there to avoid arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. \u201cOperation Seizing Bird\u201d: Six Junta Bases Captured in Mawlaik Township \u2014 Weapons and Ammunition Seized, Four Soldiers Defect<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 9<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a report released by&nbsp;<strong>Mawlaik Revolutions<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>October 9<\/strong>, resistance forces successfully captured&nbsp;<strong>six junta bases<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Mawlaik Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, as part of&nbsp;<strong>\u201cOperation Seizing Bird,\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;which began in early&nbsp;<strong>August<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The six captured bases were located in&nbsp;<strong>Haw Tha, Taung Inn, Nyaung Wun, Nar Pin, Aw Zee Khon,<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Naung Pain<\/strong>&nbsp;villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first capture took place on&nbsp;<strong>August 15<\/strong>&nbsp;at the&nbsp;<strong>Haw Tha base<\/strong>, where resistance forces detained&nbsp;<strong>four Pyu Saw Htee militia members<\/strong>, including their leader&nbsp;<strong>Aye Pan<\/strong>, along with&nbsp;<strong>over 190 junta troops and their families<\/strong>. On&nbsp;<strong>August 18<\/strong>, they captured&nbsp;<strong>two more soldiers from Infantry Battalion 88<\/strong>, and also took&nbsp;<strong>one People\u2019s Militia member<\/strong>&nbsp;alive at&nbsp;<strong>Aw Zee Khon Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite&nbsp;<strong>airstrikes launched by the junta<\/strong>, the operation \u2014 jointly conducted by&nbsp;<strong>Mawlaik District Battalions (1, 2, 3, and 4)<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha)<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>People\u2019s Security Force (Pa La Pha)<\/strong>, and the&nbsp;<strong>District Command Office<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 achieved significant military success, though there were also casualties among the resistance side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At present, junta forces have reportedly fortified&nbsp;<strong>Khin Tat, Swut Nan, and Toon Pin villages<\/strong>, leading to further&nbsp;<strong>civilian displacement<\/strong>&nbsp;in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition,&nbsp;<strong>one junta soldier, two Pyu Saw Htee militiamen, and one village administrator<\/strong>&nbsp;defected with&nbsp;<strong>six firearms<\/strong>. Monywa People\u2019s Security Force Urges Public to Provide Information on Perpetrators of Chaung-U Airstrike<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 10<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Monywa Township People\u2019s Security Force<\/strong>&nbsp;has urged the public to submit&nbsp;<strong>information regarding the perpetrators and collaborators<\/strong>&nbsp;responsible for the&nbsp;<strong>airstrike near Bon Taw Village, Chaung-U Township<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Monywa District, Sagaing Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the night of&nbsp;<strong>October 6 (the full moon of Thadingyut)<\/strong>, around&nbsp;<strong>8:00 p.m.<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<strong>paramotor (powered paraglider)<\/strong>&nbsp;launched from&nbsp;<strong>Monywa (Infantry Battalion Headquarters)<\/strong>&nbsp;dropped&nbsp;<strong>two 120 mm bombs<\/strong>&nbsp;on civilians attending a&nbsp;<strong>candlelight festival near Bon Taw Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bombs exploded among the crowd, killing and injuring many people. While rescue operations were still underway, another&nbsp;<strong>paramotor aircraft<\/strong>&nbsp;appeared and dropped&nbsp;<strong>two more 120 mm bombs<\/strong>, resulting in further casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of today,&nbsp;<strong>over 20 civilians have been confirmed dead<\/strong>, with the death toll expected to rise. Most of the deceased and injured were&nbsp;<strong>children under the age of 10<\/strong>. Many of the victims\u2019 bodies were found&nbsp;<strong>dismembered<\/strong>, and recovery teams had to&nbsp;<strong>collect scattered body parts<\/strong>&nbsp;from the blast site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Monywa People\u2019s Security Force<\/strong>&nbsp;appealed to the public to provide any&nbsp;<strong>relevant information<\/strong>&nbsp;about the&nbsp;<strong>pilot of the paramotor<\/strong>&nbsp;and those&nbsp;<strong>directly or indirectly involved<\/strong>&nbsp;in the airstrike, so that they can be&nbsp;<strong>held accountable for this inhumane and barbaric attack<\/strong>&nbsp;against innocent civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4.
