Due to ongoing clashes<\/strong> in and around Banmauk Township<\/strong>, residents from several surrounding villages and four neighborhoods in the town have been forced to flee their homes<\/strong> to seek safety, according to a statement released by the Banmauk Township People\u2019s Administrative Committee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was reported that civilians from around 15 villages<\/strong> have been displaced, urgently needing food, clothing, blankets, and mosquito nets<\/strong>. Local communities have been encouraged to donate and provide humanitarian assistance<\/strong> for those affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organizations under the National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong> have also been providing medical supplies and other necessities<\/strong> to over 1,000 displaced civilians<\/strong> from Katu ethnic villages<\/strong> across Banmauk Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, joint forces of the junta and the Shan Ni Army (SNA)<\/strong> reportedly arrested more than 200 local residents<\/strong> from A Lel Village<\/strong> and Sak Taw Village<\/strong> in Banmauk Township. Among those detained were elderly individuals over 60 years old who had taken refuge inside monasteries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Witnesses stated that the arrested villagers were blindfolded and loaded into covered vehicles<\/strong>, which then transported them westward. Junta and SNA troops also conducted search operations in nearby forests and hills<\/strong>, capturing more men who had been hiding there to avoid arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. \u201cOperation Seizing Bird\u201d: Six Junta Bases Captured in Mawlaik Township \u2014 Weapons and Ammunition Seized, Four Soldiers Defect<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a report released by Mawlaik Revolutions<\/strong> on October 9<\/strong>, resistance forces successfully captured six junta bases<\/strong> in Mawlaik Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, as part of \u201cOperation Seizing Bird,\u201d<\/strong> which began in early August<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The six captured bases were located in Haw Tha, Taung Inn, Nyaung Wun, Nar Pin, Aw Zee Khon,<\/strong> and Naung Pain<\/strong> villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first capture took place on August 15<\/strong> at the Haw Tha base<\/strong>, where resistance forces detained four Pyu Saw Htee militia members<\/strong>, including their leader Aye Pan<\/strong>, along with over 190 junta troops and their families<\/strong>. On August 18<\/strong>, they captured two more soldiers from Infantry Battalion 88<\/strong>, and also took one People\u2019s Militia member<\/strong> alive at Aw Zee Khon Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite airstrikes launched by the junta<\/strong>, the operation \u2014 jointly conducted by Mawlaik District Battalions (1, 2, 3, and 4)<\/strong>, the People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha)<\/strong>, the People\u2019s Security Force (Pa La Pha)<\/strong>, and the District Command Office<\/strong> \u2014 achieved significant military success, though there were also casualties among the resistance side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At present, junta forces have reportedly fortified Khin Tat, Swut Nan, and Toon Pin villages<\/strong>, leading to further civilian displacement<\/strong> in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, one junta soldier, two Pyu Saw Htee militiamen, and one village administrator<\/strong> defected with six firearms<\/strong>. They have been honored and rewarded<\/strong> for surrendering their weapons during Operation Seizing Bird<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Monywa People\u2019s Security Force Urges Public to Provide Information on Perpetrators of Chaung-U Airstrike<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Monywa Township People\u2019s Security Force<\/strong> has urged the public to submit information regarding the perpetrators and collaborators<\/strong> responsible for the airstrike near Bon Taw Village, Chaung-U Township<\/strong>, Monywa District, Sagaing Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the night of October 6 (the full moon of Thadingyut)<\/strong>, around 8:00 p.m.<\/strong>, a paramotor (powered paraglider)<\/strong> launched from Monywa (Infantry Battalion Headquarters)<\/strong> dropped two 120 mm bombs<\/strong> on civilians attending a candlelight festival near Bon Taw Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bombs exploded among the crowd, killing and injuring many people. While rescue operations were still underway, another paramotor aircraft<\/strong> appeared and dropped two more 120 mm bombs<\/strong>, resulting in further casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of today, over 20 civilians have been confirmed dead<\/strong>, with the death toll expected to rise. Most of the deceased and injured were children under the age of 10<\/strong>. Many of the victims\u2019 bodies were found dismembered<\/strong>, and recovery teams had to collect scattered body parts<\/strong> from the blast site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Monywa People\u2019s Security Force<\/strong> appealed to the public to provide any relevant information<\/strong> about the pilot of the paramotor<\/strong> and those directly or indirectly involved<\/strong> in the airstrike, so that they can be held accountable for this inhumane and barbaric attack<\/strong> against innocent civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The People\u2019s Defense Team of Nyaung-U Township<\/strong>, located in Mandalay Region<\/strong>, has issued a set of safety regulations<\/strong> on October 9<\/strong> for local residents and travelers<\/strong> to follow amid the current security situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the announcement, due to the ongoing military and security conditions<\/strong>, those using the Nyaung-U\u2013Kyaukpadaung road<\/strong> are requested to keep their vehicle windows closed<\/strong> and avoid speeding<\/strong> when traveling between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The People\u2019s Defense Team stated that, as the township is currently in a phase of establishing secure control<\/strong>, no vehicles will be stopped<\/strong> for extortion, tax collection, or forced donations, and that such activities are strictly prohibited<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They respectfully urged all residents and travelers<\/strong> to carefully adhere to the announced safety guidelines<\/strong> to ensure the protection and stability of the township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
