Interim People\u2019s Administrative Implementation Central Committee Meeting Convened Under the Leadership of the Union Prime Minister<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 9<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National Unity Government (NUG) held the Interim People\u2019s Administrative Implementation Central Committee Meeting No. (36\/2025) on&nbsp;<strong>October 9 at 10:00 a.m.<\/strong>, chaired by&nbsp;<strong>Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than<\/strong>, who delivered the opening address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the session, committee members reviewed the progress of action plans set out in Meeting No. (35\/2025), discussed remaining tasks to be implemented, and exchanged reports on ongoing administrative activities from the respective ministries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting was attended by&nbsp;<strong>Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Permanent Secretaries,<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>departmental officials.<\/strong>&nbsp;It concluded successfully at&nbsp;<strong>12:00 noon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>2. Legal Proceedings Initiated in Norway Against Telenor for Its Involvement with Myanmar\u2019s Military Junta<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 9<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Defend Myanmar Democracy<\/strong>&nbsp;organization announced on&nbsp;<strong>October 9<\/strong>&nbsp;that it had begun the first phase of legal proceedings against the Norwegian telecommunications giant&nbsp;<strong>Telenor<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Norway<\/strong>, for its complicity in human rights violations committed by Myanmar\u2019s military junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In collaboration with the&nbsp;<strong>Myanmar Internet Project<\/strong>, Defend Myanmar Democracy is preparing to file a lawsuit against&nbsp;<strong>Telenor ASA<\/strong>&nbsp;in Norway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the military\u2019s coup in&nbsp;<strong>February 2021<\/strong>, Telenor reportedly&nbsp;<strong>transferred sensitive user data<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 including call records, names, addresses, national ID numbers, and location data \u2014 to the junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evidence indicates that the junta&nbsp;<strong>used this data to track, arrest, and torture<\/strong>&nbsp;individuals opposing the coup, leading to widespread civilian arrests and at least&nbsp;<strong>one confirmed case of death under torture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite protests from civil society groups, Telenor handed over this data and later&nbsp;<strong>sold its Myanmar operations in 2022<\/strong>, exiting the country. At the time,&nbsp;<strong>Telenor had over 22 million users<\/strong>&nbsp;in Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s assets were subsequently acquired by&nbsp;<strong>Lebanon-based M1 Group<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Shwe Byain Phyu Company<\/strong>, and are now operating as&nbsp;<strong>ATOM Myanmar<\/strong>. Reports note that&nbsp;<strong>Shwe Byain Phyu<\/strong>&nbsp;maintains&nbsp;<strong>links with the military junta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lawsuit highlights that business decisions made by corporations operating in&nbsp;<strong>conflict zones<\/strong>&nbsp;like Myanmar can have&nbsp;<strong>deadly consequences<\/strong>&nbsp;for civilians, underscoring the need for&nbsp;<strong>corporate accountability<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>stronger government oversight<\/strong>&nbsp;in such contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>3. A Total of 29 Deaths in the Religious Sector Nationwide Caused by the Terrorist Military Regime from January 1 to October 9, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 9<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between&nbsp;<strong>January 1 and October 9, 2025<\/strong>, a total of&nbsp;<strong>29 individuals<\/strong>&nbsp;from the&nbsp;<strong>religious community<\/strong>&nbsp;were killed nationwide as a result of attacks by the&nbsp;<strong>terrorist military junta<\/strong>, according to a verified report by the&nbsp;<strong>Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP)<\/strong>. The list includes&nbsp;<strong>10 victims under the age of 18<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shan State<\/strong>&nbsp;recorded the highest number of deaths, with&nbsp;<strong>8 victims<\/strong>, followed by&nbsp;<strong>Sagaing Region<\/strong>, with&nbsp;<strong>6 deaths<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the total casualties,&nbsp;<strong>18 were killed in airstrikes<\/strong>, making it the leading cause of death, while&nbsp;<strong>7 others were killed by heavy artillery shelling<\/strong>, the second most common cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>October 2, around 9:00 a.m.<\/strong>, junta forces stationed at&nbsp;<strong>the KNU office in Shwebo City<\/strong>, in collaboration with reinforcement units,&nbsp;<strong>fired heavy weapons<\/strong>&nbsp;into the compound of&nbsp;<strong>Aung Myay Chan Myae Monastery<\/strong>. The shells exploded within the monastery grounds, killing four young novice monks \u2014&nbsp;<strong>Nyani Ka, Uttama, Wimala,<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Medha Nanda<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>4. Free Medical Clinic Opens in Xingwang City, Kokang Special Region<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 10<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the guidance of the&nbsp;<strong>Department of Health of Special Region (1)<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Kokang District Traditional Chinese Hospital<\/strong>&nbsp;opened a&nbsp;<strong>free medical clinic<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Xingwang City<\/strong>, according to&nbsp;<strong>The Kokang<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The clinic, located on&nbsp;<strong>Xinping Street<\/strong>, was launched on&nbsp;<strong>September 3<\/strong>, aiming to support the&nbsp;<strong>basic healthcare needs of local residents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All&nbsp;<strong>medical consultations, treatments, and medications<\/strong>&nbsp;are provided&nbsp;<strong>free of charge<\/strong>, with the goal of ensuring&nbsp;<strong>long-term, accessible healthcare services<\/strong>&nbsp;for nearby communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Department of Health of the Special Region<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>MNDAA Medical Logistics Department<\/strong>&nbsp;have also conducted&nbsp;<strong>mobile free healthcare missions<\/strong>&nbsp;in rural and conflict-affected areas, including&nbsp;<strong>villages, IDP camps, and disaster relief centers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative represents a&nbsp;<strong>progressive step<\/strong>&nbsp;from temporary mobile services to&nbsp;<strong>permanent, community-based healthcare<\/strong>, expanding the&nbsp;<strong>basic healthcare network<\/strong>&nbsp;and improving&nbsp;<strong>public health access<\/strong>&nbsp;across the region. Medical Aid and Relief Supplies Provided to Civilians Injured in Chaung-U Airstrike<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 10<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<strong>Sagaing People\u2019s Support Network<\/strong>, medical supplies and essential relief items were distributed to civilians injured during the&nbsp;<strong>airstrike on Chaung-U Township<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Monywa District, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, carried out by the terrorist military junta on the&nbsp;<strong>night of the Thadingyut full moon day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta\u2019s air force&nbsp;<strong>bombed the area where local residents were holding a candlelight vigil<\/strong>, marking the Thadingyut festival near the Monywa\u2013Chaung-U border. The attack&nbsp;<strong>killed 24 civilians and injured more than 40 others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The network extended condolences, wishing eternal peace for the deceased and a speedy recovery for the wounded civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Chaung-U Township medical team<\/strong>, under the network\u2019s local coordination, has been providing ongoing treatment to the injured.
