\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. Two civilians killed and two others injured in renewed airstrikes by the junta in Mong Ngaw<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the PSLF\/TNLA, the junta\u2019s forces carried out renewed aerial bombardments on Man Lone Ward in Mong Ngaw Town, a territory under the control of the PSLF\/TNLA in northern Shan State, resulting in the deaths of a man and a woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At around 11:05 a.m. on October 8<\/strong>, the junta dropped two 250-pound bombs<\/strong> near the Man Lone Ward police station, fired two rockets<\/strong> into the market area, and launched two more rockets<\/strong> toward Ta Lone Ward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attacks killed Daw Hla Yi (aged 50)<\/strong> and U Shwe Hoon (aged 56)<\/strong>, while Ma Thway Thway Aung (18)<\/strong> and U Tin Maung Aye (50)<\/strong> sustained injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a day earlier, at 12:30 p.m. on October 7<\/strong>, the junta had already bombed Man Hoon Village<\/strong> in Mong Lon Township with two 250-pound bombs<\/strong>, killing ten civilians<\/strong>, including a child, and injuring three others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Junta jet fighter bombs Mae Thamee Khee (Htee Khee) Village again in Tanintharyi Region<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Karen National Union (KNU), the junta\u2019s air force once again bombed Mae Thamee Khee Village<\/strong>, located in Thay Mo Pwa, between Myeik and Dawei districts<\/strong>, within the area controlled by KNU Brigade 4<\/strong> in Tanintharyi Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At around 2:00 p.m. on October 8<\/strong>, a junta jet fighter carried out renewed bombing runs. As a result, over 350 local residents<\/strong> fled their homes to seek safety, while civilian-owned properties and possessions<\/strong> were damaged and destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier that morning, around 9:00 a.m.<\/strong>, the junta had already conducted multiple air raids on the same village, using a Y-12 aircraft<\/strong> to drop over 40 bombs (120mm shells) in 10 passes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At around 2:00 p.m. on October 8<\/strong>, a column of about 100 troops from Light Infantry Battalion 50<\/strong> entered Sain Du Village<\/strong>, near Gangaw Town<\/strong>, and set fire to three houses and one building<\/strong> within the construction department compound, according to the Yaw Alin Tan media outlet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The troops also looted household items and belongings<\/strong> from the village before retreating toward Gangaw Town at approximately 4:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later that evening, at 6:56 p.m.<\/strong>, a MIG-29 jet fighter<\/strong> from Naypyidaw Air Force carried out an airstrike<\/strong> on an area in the Kyauk Htu region of Saw Township<\/strong>, Yaw area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, around the Min Tat\u2013Kyauk Htu border<\/strong>, three jet fighters<\/strong>\u2014two from Taungoo Air Base and one from Naypyidaw\u2014conducted further airstrikes at 6:57, 6:59, and 7:01 p.m.<\/strong>, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. About 150 junta troops killed after a month of intense fighting at Lay Kay Kaw<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Justice Soldier<\/strong>, approximately 150 junta troops have been killed<\/strong> after a month of ongoing battles in Lay Kay Kaw New Town<\/strong>, Myawaddy Township, Karen State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta\u2019s forces\u2014equipped with advanced weaponry acquired by trading away the nation\u2019s valuable natural resources<\/strong> at exploitative rates and reinforced by conscripted civilians<\/strong>\u2014have been launching a full-scale offensive against the Lay Kay Kaw region for the past month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resistance forces including the KNU\/KNLA Brigade 32 (Cobra Column)<\/strong>, Tiger Black Column<\/strong>, Venom Column<\/strong>, and Justice Soldier units<\/strong>, supported by drone teams<\/strong>, have been fiercely resisting<\/strong> the junta\u2019s attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the month-long battle, about 150 junta soldiers<\/strong> were confirmed killed, while many others have defected or surrendered<\/strong>. On the resistance side, one Justice Soldier fighter<\/strong> was killed in action, and four others were injured<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 5. KIA and allied revolutionary forces recapture junta and militia positions near Law Man Village, close to Waingmaw<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to frontline sources from the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), the KIA<\/strong> and its allied revolutionary forces<\/strong> successfully launched a counteroffensive and recaptured positions held by Myanmar junta troops<\/strong> and pro-junta militia forces<\/strong> near Law Man Village<\/strong>, close to Waingmaw Town<\/strong> in Kachin State<\/strong>, on the morning of October 8<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reports indicate that junta forces from Light Infantry Battalion 58<\/strong>, the only military garrison responsible for guarding Waingmaw Town, together with People\u2019s Militia units<\/strong>, had previously conducted an offensive operation along the road connecting Wu Yan Village<\/strong> to Law Man Village<\/strong>. They had fortified their positions last week with the support of airstrikes and heavy artillery fire<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, between 5:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on October 8<\/strong>, the KIA and allied units<\/strong> launched a coordinated counterattack, successfully regaining control<\/strong> of those occupied areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 6<\/strong>, about 100 junta troops and militia members<\/strong> had advanced toward Law Man Village<\/strong>, supported by air and artillery fire<\/strong>, leading to intense clashes that lasted from the evening of October 6 until 4:00 a.m. on October 7<\/strong>. During those battles, the KIA and its allies<\/strong> were forced to make tactical withdrawals<\/strong> from some positions along the Law Man road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to Myitkyina News Journal<\/em>, Colonel Naw Bu<\/strong>, spokesperson for the Kachin Independence Organization\/Army (KIO\/KIA)<\/strong>, stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt the moment, no side has firm control over the area. Sometimes the junta troops pull back, sometimes our forces withdraw. The situation around Waingmaw (Law Man)<\/strong> remains tense and fluid.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 6. Resistance forces capture junta checkpoint at Me Zali\u2013Sittaw Suspension Bridge in Pwintbyu Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong> of Pwintbyu Township<\/strong>, Minbu District<\/strong>, reported that resistance forces successfully stormed and captured<\/strong> a junta checkpoint<\/strong> located at the Me Zali\u2013Sittaw Suspension Bridge<\/strong>, along the Pathein\u2013Monywa Road<\/strong> in Magway Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack took place at 5:00 p.m. on October 4<\/strong>, when a joint revolutionary force launched an assault that lasted about one and a half hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the operation, the resistance forces seized the bodies of four junta soldiers<\/strong>, as well as weapons, ammunition, and military equipment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack was jointly carried out by the Pwintbyu Township People\u2019s Defense Force<\/strong>, the Minbu District Battalion 7<\/strong>, and the Minbu District Pa Ka Pha (People\u2019s Defense Organization)<\/strong>, with artillery support<\/strong> provided by Minbu District Battalion 4<\/strong>, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 7. Seven junta personnel killed in ambush against patrol column in Ka Ni Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kyauk Lone Gyi PDF<\/strong> announced that seven junta personnel<\/strong>, including soldiers and police officers, were killed in an ambush<\/strong> against a junta patrol column<\/strong> in Ka Ni Township<\/strong>, Sagaing Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 12:40 p.m. on October 8<\/strong>, a combined patrol of about 20 troops and police officers<\/strong> from the Ka Ni Town garrison<\/strong> came under a surprise attack<\/strong> in Ward (3)<\/strong> of Ka Ni Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the clash, seven junta members<\/strong> were killed, and the resistance forces captured one MA-1 rifle<\/strong> and one MA-11 rifle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ambush was carried out by a tactical unit<\/strong> of the Kyauk Lone Gyi PDF<\/strong>, under the command of District (9+) Strategy (45)<\/strong>, operating under the Yin Mar Pin District<\/strong> structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 8. Soldier from LIB-101 defects to KNDO Battalion 7 in Le Mular area<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Karen National Union (KNU)<\/strong> reported that one junta soldier<\/strong> from Light Infantry Battalion 101<\/strong> defected to the Karen National Defense Organization (KNDO) Battalion 7<\/strong>, under KNLA Brigade 4<\/strong>, in Le Mular Township<\/strong>, Myeik\u2013Dawei District<\/strong> of Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the statement, on October 6<\/strong>, the defecting soldier\u2014who had been forcibly conscripted<\/strong> into LIB-101<\/strong>\u2014escaped and made contact with the KNLA Brigade 4<\/strong> and KNDO Battalion 7<\/strong>, bringing his weapon and ammunition with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He surrendered with one MA-1 rifle<\/strong>, four magazines<\/strong>, and a quantity of bullets<\/strong>, seeking refuge and protection under the KNU\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
