The Northwestern Regional Military Headquarters<\/strong> based in Monywa, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, was attacked with ten rockets<\/strong>, according to a statement released by the Chindwin Rocket Brother (CRB)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack reportedly took place on October 2<\/strong>, as part of the Nakhama Pre-Thadingyut Operation (9th wave)<\/strong>, during which ten rockets<\/strong> were fired at the base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the assault, five officers from the regional military command<\/strong> were reportedly killed instantly, along with two guards from the armory warehouse<\/strong> who also died on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, five military families<\/strong> were affected, resulting in five fatalities<\/strong> and multiple injuries. The injured family members were urgently transported to the 4\/300 Battalion Military Hospital<\/strong>, according to field sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack was led by Chindwin Rocket Brother (CRB)<\/strong> and jointly carried out by the Chio Myaing Myaing (Ka Ni)<\/strong> unit, Chindwin Brother<\/strong>, Budalin Defense Force<\/strong>, Bandula Defense Force<\/strong>, Federal Democratic Force<\/strong>, Burmer Army<\/strong>, 14th Battalion of Monywa District Battalion Command<\/strong>, and the 9th Battalion of Yinmarpin District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to an announcement by the Sagaing Region Strike Force<\/strong>, Comrade Chan Nyi Aung<\/strong> and Comrade Nyi Nyi Zaw<\/strong> were killed while serving the public good<\/strong> during the bombing in Chaung-U Township<\/strong> on the Thadingyut Full Moon night<\/strong> (October 6, 2025, around 7 p.m.), when they were participating in the traditional oil-lamp lighting ceremony<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both comrades were active members and leaders<\/strong> in the Monywa\u2013A Myint Road Strike Leading Committee<\/strong> and the Sagaing Region Strike Force<\/strong>, actively organizing non-violent public resistance movements<\/strong>.
The statement notes that they had dedicated themselves to the establishment of a Federal Democratic Union<\/strong> with great commitment and responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sagaing Region Strike Force<\/strong> honored them as heroes of the Spring Revolution<\/strong>, pledging to carry forward their mission<\/strong> toward building a Federal Democratic Union<\/strong>, which was their lifelong aspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the statement, Comrade Chan Nyi Aung<\/strong> had been serving as a member of the Public Mobilization Committee<\/strong>, and Comrade Nyi Nyi Zaw<\/strong> as a member of the Finance Committee<\/strong>.
Both were honorably discharged<\/strong> posthumously after fulfilling their revolutionary duties with dedication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 3. One civilian killed and two injured due to military council violence in Tho Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Karen National Union (KNU)<\/strong> reported that due to violent acts by the military council<\/strong>, one civilian was killed<\/strong> and two others were injured<\/strong> in Tho Township<\/strong>, located within the Kawthoolei Administrative Area<\/strong> under KNU\u2019s Hpa-an District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 1, at around 5:30 a.m.<\/strong>, troops from the military council\u2019s Infantry Battalion (IB) 20<\/strong>, stationed in Taw Wi Village<\/strong>, fired an 81mm heavy artillery shell<\/strong>, which exploded inside Kwin Dala Gyi Village<\/strong>.
As a result, Daw Thet Win (aged 54)<\/strong> was killed instantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, on October 2, around 11:08 a.m.<\/strong>, troops from the military council\u2019s IB 57<\/strong> used a drone<\/strong> to drop an explosive device on Pyin Yae Village<\/strong>, damaging one house and injuring Ma The Mar (aged 36)<\/strong> and Daw Khin Hla<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The military council\u2019s forces<\/strong> carried out airstrikes<\/strong> on Mine Lone<\/strong> and Nam Maton<\/strong> townships\u2014areas under the control of the PSLF\/TNLA (Palaung State Liberation Front \/ Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army)<\/strong> in northern Shan State<\/strong>\u2014resulting in the deaths of 10 civilians, including a child<\/strong>, according to the PSLF\/TNLA<\/strong> statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At approximately 1:10 p.m. on October 7<\/strong>, two 500-pound bombs<\/strong> were dropped on Mai Hoon Village<\/strong> in the Nam Khone Village Tract<\/strong>, Mine Lone Sub-Township<\/strong>, by the military council\u2019s aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
