The formation and official handover ceremony of the Bago District People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha) Combat Column<\/strong>, which will serve under the operational command of the People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF) \u2013 Special Region Military Command<\/strong>, was held on October 5<\/strong> in the territory of KNU Brigade 1<\/strong>, according to official reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony was attended by Comrade Aung San Shar<\/strong>, Regional Commanding Officer of the Special Region Military Command; Comrade Gyi Thaung<\/strong>, military intelligence officer; Dr. Deva<\/strong>, regional medical officer; Comrade Yan Naing<\/strong>, Strategy Officer of Unit No. 36; Comrade Saw Bi Luu<\/strong>, Bago Regional Pa Ka Pha intelligence officer; Comrade Phyo Maung<\/strong>, Bago District Pa Ka Pha leader; along with district officers and respective township Pa Ka Pha representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, Comrade Aung San Shar<\/strong> delivered the opening address, expressing satisfaction that, as the revolution continues to expand, such systematic organizational efforts are being effectively carried out. He stressed that PDF-aligned units must uphold military discipline and ethics (Code of Conducts)<\/strong>, maintain a clear chain of command (Change of Command)<\/strong>, and continue efforts for the shared management of weapons, ammunition, and resources<\/strong>, as well as the supply and administrative support systems<\/strong> essential for sustained operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following his remarks, Comrade Phyo Maung<\/strong>, Bago District Pa Ka Pha leader, formally handed over the newly formed combat column<\/strong> to Comrade Aung San Shar<\/strong>, Commanding Officer of the Special Region Military Command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Resistance forces ambush military commission convoy in Min Htone Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The United State of Burma Army (USBA)<\/strong> reported that an ambush attack<\/strong> was carried out on a military commission convoy<\/strong> that was traveling to assign personnel duties<\/strong> at the Ala Chaung Police Station<\/strong> in Min Htone Township<\/strong>, Magway Region, resulting in casualties among junta troops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 5<\/strong>, around 8:00 a.m.<\/strong>, a joint force of about 40 junta soldiers and police<\/strong> left their vehicles and proceeded on foot toward Ala Chaung when they were ambushed near Khone Taing Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The battle lasted for approximately 15 minutes<\/strong>, during which junta casualties were observed, though exact numbers remain unconfirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the clash, the military commission column retreated back to Min Htone town<\/strong>, looted property<\/strong> along the route, and arbitrarily arrested several youths<\/strong> from nearby villages, reports said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was further noted that on October 3<\/strong>, a convoy of around 60 junta personnel<\/strong> returning from a temporary post near Kyauk Taing sub-township hospital<\/strong> was also ambushed at Khone Khone<\/strong>, leading to multiple junta fatalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Thirteen junta troops killed in two-day battle in Yephyu Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Yephyu Township, Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>, a two-day battle<\/strong> occurred in Akanit Village<\/strong> between People\u2019s Defense Forces<\/strong> and a military commission column<\/strong>, leaving 13 junta soldiers dead<\/strong>, according to Weh Htin Column<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 30<\/strong>, at around 12:20 p.m.<\/strong>, resistance forces launched an attack on a military convoy of approximately 200 troops<\/strong> that had arrived in Akanit Village, and fighting continued until 6:00 p.m. on October 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the clashes, 13 junta soldiers were killed<\/strong>, and their bodies were burned inside the village<\/strong>. Members of the People\u2019s Defense Force later collected and buried<\/strong> the remains respectfully in a cemetery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In retaliation, the retreating junta troops set fire to 10 houses<\/strong> in the village, including the home of Pyu Saw Htee militia leader and USDP member Naing Oo<\/strong>, and five other homes belonging to junta supporters<\/strong>, the report said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation was jointly conducted by Daung Net Battalion (6)<\/strong>, Weh Htin South Yephyu Column<\/strong>, Dawei District Joint Forces<\/strong>, and allied revolutionary units<\/strong>. On the resistance side, one comrade was killed and three were injured<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, a military commission column<\/strong> entering Taganan Village<\/strong> through Good Brother Office<\/strong> in the southern zone was ambushed and encircled<\/strong>, resulting in seven junta troops killed<\/strong> and four captured alive<\/strong>, according to the Wetlet Informational Network<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack occurred at 6:30 a.m. on October 2<\/strong>, when a military convoy of about 60 troops<\/strong> was ambushed by Shwebo District units<\/strong> including Battalions 23, 18, 15, 26<\/strong>, and 9706 (Together We Can)<\/strong>, along with Shwebo District Battalion No. 4<\/strong>, Shwebo Township Pa Ka Pha<\/strong>, Taik Nyaung Pa Ka Pha<\/strong>, Taung Bole People\u2019s Defense Group<\/strong>, and the Northern Tiger Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The battle resulted in seven junta deaths<\/strong>, including Warrant Officer San Thway<\/strong>, and around ten others injured<\/strong>. Resistance forces also captured one warrant officer and three military servants alive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recovered weapons and equipment included one 60mm Commando mortar<\/strong>, one MA-3 rifle<\/strong>, one MA-1 rifle<\/strong>, one 60mm shell<\/strong>, one RPG-7 round<\/strong>, 100 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition<\/strong>, and one generator backpack<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the engagement, the Shwebo Military Headquarters<\/strong> and Shwebo Tatmadaw Battalion (2)<\/strong> provided artillery and howitzer support<\/strong>, one of which struck Aung Myay Monastery<\/strong>, killing four children<\/strong> and injuring eight others<\/strong>, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the resistance side, two comrades were killed and three others wounded<\/strong> during the battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Shan Human Rights Foundation<\/em>, junta troops that launched an offensive operation in Kyaukme Township, northern Shan State, raped a 16-year-old girl and subsequently killed her together with her younger brother and mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta forces that conducted the large-scale assault and occupation of Kyaukme reportedly murdered three civilians\u2014who had been hiding in a field hut about 10 kilometers from Kyaukme\u2014on September 24<\/strong>. Among them, the young girl was first raped and then killed, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the murder of the family, in the morning of that same day, the junta troops patrolling near Sakhansa Village<\/strong> also shot and killed a motorcyclist and took away his motorcycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was learned that the victims included a monk aged around 30, an elderly woman, her 16-year-old daughter Nan Thein Sar<\/strong>, and her 12-year-old son Sai Than Maung<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The father, who discovered the bodies the next morning, recounted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen I returned to the hut, I saw my wife lying face down on the ground with a gunshot wound in her chest. My son was beside her, bleeding heavily. My daughter\u2019s clothes were scattered on the ground, and I found her body inside the hut with no clothes on. She had clearly been raped before being killed. Near their bodies, I also found military uniform items and rifle cartridge cases belonging to the Myanmar army.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the junta\u2019s offensive and seizure of Kyaukme, more than 10,000 local residents<\/strong> have been forced to flee their homes since August, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The KNU\u2013Mergui\u2013Tavoy District<\/strong> reported that junta forces conducted an airstrike on Thimehpo (The Chaung Gyi) Village<\/strong>, located in the Tawnpyauk Village Tract<\/strong> of Kawthoung Township<\/strong>, within the Mergui\u2013Tavoy District<\/strong> under KNU Brigade 4<\/strong> administration in Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>, injuring four civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At around 5:00 p.m. on October 5<\/strong>, a junta jet fighter dropped bombs on the village, damaging two houses<\/strong> and injuring four local residents<\/strong>, the report stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
