Kim Aris (also known as Htein Lin), the son of Myanmar\u2019s public leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi<\/strong>, was honored with a standing ovation and applause by members of the Italian National Parliament (Senate)<\/strong>, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ko Htein Lin said that on October 2<\/strong>, he was invited and introduced<\/strong> in the Italian National Senate by its President, Ignazio La Russa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When he was introduced as the son of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, both left-wing and right-wing members of the Parliament<\/strong> stood together to show their respect and admiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He remarked that this was a moment of deep significance<\/strong>, adding:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt demonstrated that my mother\u2019s struggle for freedom and Myanmar\u2019s fight for democracy transcend politics.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, Ko Htein Lin also met with Senator Pier Ferdinando Casini<\/strong>, Chair of the Senate\u2019s Special Foreign Affairs Committee<\/strong>, and expressed gratitude for Italy\u2019s continued support toward the Myanmar people\u2019s struggle for freedom and justice<\/strong>, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pa-O National Defense Force (Kham Kaung)<\/strong>\u2014known as PNDF-KK<\/strong>\u2014announced that its mobile ground medical team<\/strong> has been providing healthcare services<\/strong> to internally displaced civilians in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PNDF-KK stated that since the military junta unlawfully seized power<\/strong> from the people and the nation, citizens have not only lost their freedom of speech and movement<\/strong> but also their right to education and access to healthcare<\/strong> for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recognizing that healthcare is a fundamental human right<\/strong>, PNDF-KK said its team personally traveled to remote areas<\/strong>, especially those difficult to access during the monsoon season<\/strong>, to deliver direct medical assistance<\/strong> and care to the displaced communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A prayer ceremony<\/strong> was held in Three Pagodas Pass town<\/strong>, located on the Thai\u2013Myanmar border in Karen State<\/strong>, to pray for the immediate release of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi<\/strong> and all political prisoners<\/strong>, according to sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony took place on October 6<\/strong>, coinciding with the Full Moon Day of Thadingyut<\/strong>, with prayers offered for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi\u2019s swift recovery and release<\/strong> from unlawful detention<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants also prayed for the freedom of all political prisoners<\/strong> who are unjustly imprisoned and released symbolic lanterns<\/strong> as part of the ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
