CRPH Chairman Urges Strengthening of Innovative Education and Collaboration in Myanmar on World Teachers\u2019 Day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 5<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the ceremony marking&nbsp;<em>World Teachers\u2019 Day 2025<\/em>&nbsp;held on&nbsp;<strong>October 5<\/strong>, Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH),&nbsp;<strong>U Aung Kyi Nyunt<\/strong>, called for strengthening innovative teaching methods and collaborative efforts in Myanmar\u2019s education sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremony was jointly organized by the&nbsp;<strong>Interim Federal Education Council (iFEC)<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Joint Coordination Committee (Education)<\/strong>, and the&nbsp;<strong>Ministry of Education of the National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees included the Acting President, Prime Minister, scholars, and members of the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his address,&nbsp;<strong>U Aung Kyi Nyunt<\/strong>&nbsp;said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInnovative education must not be pursued in isolation but through cooperation and interconnected strength. Only then will we gain the power to build the future nation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also emphasized the importance of establishing a new education system in alignment with this year\u2019s theme \u2014<br><strong>\u201cReinventing Education through Collaboration for a Stronger Future.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the 2021 military coup, Myanmar\u2019s education sector has suffered severe repression. In this regard,&nbsp;<strong>U Aung Kyi Nyunt<\/strong>&nbsp;praised the bravery of CDM teachers, educators, and students, recognizing their unwavering efforts to sustain education despite schools and learners being targets of military attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>World Teachers\u2019 Day, first commemorated in&nbsp;<strong>1994<\/strong>&nbsp;based on the&nbsp;<strong>1966 UNESCO and ILO Recommendation<\/strong>, carried deeper significance in Myanmar this year \u2014 as it was observed amidst the struggle to overcome the destruction of education under military dictatorship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He urged for stronger collaboration between&nbsp;<strong>teachers, parents, students, and international partners<\/strong>&nbsp;to build a&nbsp;<strong>federal education system<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLet us ensure that our future generations and children grow up as free human beings, educated both intellectually and morally, so that they will never again have to live or learn under any form of dictatorship,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>2. Education Board Formed in Ye U Township with 45 Members Covering 52 Positions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 5<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Ye U Township Education Board<\/strong>&nbsp;announced the formation of a newly restructured township education board comprising&nbsp;<strong>45 members<\/strong>&nbsp;to fill&nbsp;<strong>52 designated positions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The board members include representatives from organizations relevant to basic education in Ye U Township, as well as education officers, district and township administrators, zonal heads, departmental heads, and working committee leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The board\u2019s composition includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Age groups:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2% between ages 50\u201360<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15% between ages 40\u201350<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50% between ages 30\u201340<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>33% between ages 20\u201330<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gender:<\/strong>\u00a033% women<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience and background:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>13% CDM officers with teaching experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>69% CDM staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>9% volunteers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5% CDM support staff<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4% freelance educators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Educational qualifications:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6 with Master\u2019s degrees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 with Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 with B.Sc. or B.A.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 with Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 with Diplomas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, a list of&nbsp;<strong>55 reserve candidates<\/strong>&nbsp;who are not yet members of the township board has been submitted.<br>They will undergo&nbsp;<strong>capacity-building training, field practice, and selection processes<\/strong>&nbsp;in accordance with established&nbsp;<strong>procedures, policies, and standards<\/strong>, so that they may serve as future reserve or assistant members in township education and working committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>3.
