\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. Three Civilians Killed and Six, Including Children, Injured in Junta Airstrikes on Namatu and Mantong<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

October 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PSLF\/TNLA Information and Public Relations Department reported that three civilians were killed and six others, including children, were injured when the terrorist military carried out airstrikes on Namatu and Mantong towns in northern Shan State\u2014areas under Ta\u2019ang (TNLA) control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At around 7:20 a.m. today, the junta\u2019s aircraft deliberately targeted civilian areas, dropping one bomb on Namatu<\/strong> and four bombs on Mantong.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the bombing, three civilians from Namatu were killed, six others (including children) were injured, and eight homes were destroyed.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was further reported that on October 1, the junta also bombed Ye Htoke Gyi Village<\/strong> in western Mong Koe Township\u2014an area under Ta\u2019ang and revolutionary forces\u2019 control\u2014injuring one man and destroying a civilian home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revolutionary forces have urged civilians to remain constantly vigilant against junta airstrikes and to adopt civil defense and protective measures to minimize casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to records, TNLA, as part of Operation 1027 launched on October 27, 2023<\/strong>, captured several northern Shan towns, including Kyaukme, Hsipaw, Namhsan, Monglon, Mongmit, Mantong, Namatu, Kutkai, Nawngcho, Namkham, and Mone Ngo, as well as Mong Koe Township in Mandalay Region.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the junta temporarily regained control of Nawngcho in July through massive ground offensives and airstrikes, and more recently retook Kyaukme, the current airstrikes on Namatu and Mantong demonstrate the junta\u2019s continued reliance on indiscriminate bombing campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. KIA Confirms Death Toll in Sadung Airstrike Rises to 11<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

October 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) announced that the death toll from the junta\u2019s recent airstrike on Sadung town<\/strong> in Waingmaw Township, Kachin State, has risen to 11<\/strong>, after three more of the injured succumbed to their wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 29, the junta launched airstrikes on Sadung, despite no clashes occurring in the area. The attack killed eight civilians on the spot, including preschool children.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the injured, three later died while being taken to hospital for treatment, according to the KIA\u2019s Information Department on October 1 evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victims were buried on September 30, and local residents conducted a cleaning operation at the bombing site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack has left the people of Sadung in shock, with many still displaced to safer areas. Six wounded civilians are reportedly still receiving medical treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Four Junta Soldiers Killed in Ambush at Ayo Taung, Ye Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

October 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ye Belu resistance group reported that four junta soldiers were killed in an ambush at the foot of Warkyaung Hill<\/strong>, near Ayo Taung Village, Ye Township, Mon State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On October 1 afternoon, a patrol of junta troops combined with DKBA units was ambushed by resistance forces, resulting in four deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ye Belu group confirmed on social media that the four dead bodies were left at the site below Warkyaung Hill. They remarked that \u201ceven Dampauk Hill could not save them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clashes between junta troops and the Ye Belu group frequently occur in this area. Since the junta often advances in alliance with DKBA forces, it is believed that some of the dead may have been DKBA members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Junta\u2019s Incendiary Drone Attack Sets Government Offices Ablaze in Kyaukme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

October 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) reported that junta forces used incendiary drones to attack Kyaukme town<\/strong>, northern Shan State, causing government offices to catch fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 30 afternoon, junta drones dropped firebombs into the town, resulting in multiple government offices being destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attacks not only targeted areas within the town but also struck the fire department office, the forestry office, and a police station,<\/strong> which were all set ablaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TNLA confirmed that the junta is attempting to regain Kyaukme Township from Ta\u2019ang control by deploying overwhelming ground offensives and indiscriminate bombardments with airstrikes, heavy artillery, drones, and even chemical gas bombs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, many civilians have fled their homes to seek safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ongoing clashes have also been reported near Pinti Village in Kyaukme Township<\/strong> and Banka Chaung in Nawngcho Township,<\/strong> with battles intensifying up to the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PSLF\/TNLA has once again urged civilians to remain highly cautious of junta airstrikes and to follow protective measures against aerial attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
