Over 500 Lakhs Awarded as Recognition Grants to CDM Education Staff in Khan U Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Khan U Township, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region, the Township People\u2019s Administration Committee announced that, in accordance with Resolution No. (8\/2025) of the Township Committee, a recognition and honorarium grant amounting to&nbsp;<strong>51,750,000 kyats (five hundred seventeen lakhs and fifty thousand kyats)<\/strong>&nbsp;was handed over by the Township People\u2019s Administration Committee to the responsible officials from the Township Education Department for CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) education staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, based on Resolution No. (9\/2025) of the Township meeting, the Township People\u2019s Administration Committee is planning to implement recognition grants for CDM staff from other remaining departments. For this purpose, the committee has requested the lists of CDM staff members from the heads of respective departments at the township level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>2. Project Health Shield Campaign Launched for Medicines and Health Support in Karenni Region<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cProject Health Shield\u201d campaign was officially launched from&nbsp;<strong>October 1 to 31, 2025<\/strong>, aimed at supplying essential medicines and healthcare needs to both frontline and rearline hospitals in the Karenni Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign is designed to ensure timely provision of emergency treatment, surgeries, and healthcare services for local civilians, internally displaced persons, and revolutionary fighters in the Karenni Region. It will directly support the KNDF Central Health Department and O1 Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the one-month campaign, the target is to raise&nbsp;<strong>USD 50,000<\/strong>&nbsp;to cover a three-month supply of medicines and healthcare expenses for both frontline and rearline hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative will be jointly led by&nbsp;<em>We Support Heroes, O1 Medical Team,<\/em>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<em>KNDF Central Health Department,<\/em>&nbsp;with financial support mobilized through the National Unity Government\u2019s CRPH-OFP Fundraising Programme, fundraisers, and pro-revolution supporters both inside Myanmar and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>3. Justice For Myanmar Selected as Recipient of the 2025 Right Livelihood Award<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Justice For Myanmar (JFM) has been selected as a laureate of the&nbsp;<strong>2025 Right Livelihood Award<\/strong>, a prestigious international prize that honors individuals and organizations worldwide for their work toward peace, justice, and sustainability. JFM announced this recognition on October 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award will be accepted in honor of the courage of the Myanmar people who have been resisting the illegal military coup since February 2021. It also serves as an important reminder to the world that Myanmar people\u2019s struggle for federal democracy, peace, and justice deserves global acknowledgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JFM highlighted that ongoing violence is fueled by international governments, corporations, and Myanmar cronies who continue to supply the junta with finances, weapons, and capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement also warned that the junta is preparing a sham election in December 2025 and escalating violence against civilians in an attempt to crush resistance movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mratana Maung stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTaking practical action is now more urgent than ever. Governments worldwide must oppose the junta\u2019s sham election and coordinate targeted sanctions to block the junta\u2019s access to weapons, equipment, and aviation fuel that enable its brutal military campaigns. Corporations and investors must also act decisively to cut off the junta\u2019s access to finances, weapons, equipment, and fuel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other 2025 Right Livelihood Award laureates include&nbsp;<em>Emergency Response Rooms (Sudan), Pacific Islands Students Fighting Climate Change, Julian Aguon (Guam),<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Audrey Tang (Taiwan).<\/em>&nbsp;Since its establishment in 1980, the award has honored&nbsp;<strong>203 individuals and organizations from 81 countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>4. Public Call for Students to Enroll in Basic Electrical, Air Conditioning, and Refrigerator Repair Training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>People\u2019s Target Vocational Training Program<\/em>&nbsp;announced that a&nbsp;<strong>\u201cBasic Electrical, Air Conditioning, and Refrigerator Repair Course\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;will be launched at the Thai-Myanmar border for&nbsp;<em>CDM soldiers and police, civilian staff, political activists, and former revolutionary fighters who have suffered injuries or disabilities.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course will accept around&nbsp;<strong>10 trainees<\/strong>, with sessions lasting&nbsp;<strong>4 hours per day, 5 days a week, for 6 consecutive weeks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Training will combine theory and practice, covering basic electrical principles, fundamentals of air conditioning and refrigeration, as well as inspection and repair methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants are encouraged to join only if they genuinely have interest, can dedicate sufficient time, and intend to pursue this as a livelihood skill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The application deadline is set for&nbsp;<strong>October 5, 2025, 6:00 PM (Myanmar Standard Time).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>5. Women and Child Protection Training Resumed in Htee Chaint Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Htee Chaint Township, Sagaing Region,&nbsp;<em>Women and Child Protection (WCP) awareness training<\/em>&nbsp;was resumed in September, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable such trainings, the Ministry of Human Rights had previously organized training-of-trainers programs for field officers once in 2024 and once in 2025. The recent training was conducted as a follow-up, cascade-level session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The course in Htee Chaint Township was led by a&nbsp;<em>Women\u2019s Human Rights Focal Person<\/em>&nbsp;from the Ministry of Human Rights.
