\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. NUG Ministry of Human Rights Issues Detailed Statement on Military Airstrike Against Kan Htoo Ma Village in Tant Se Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government (NUG) released a detailed statement regarding the airstrike carried out by the terrorist military group on Kan Htoo Ma Village in Tant Se Township, Sagaing Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 26<\/strong>, around noon, the terrorist junta launched an aerial attack on Kan Htoo Ma Village, Ye-U District, Tant Se Township, Sagaing Region, using a jet fighter that dropped two 500-pound bombs. According to confirmations from local residents and human rights officials, the strike killed 11 innocent civilians<\/strong> and injured 9 others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jet fighter, which had taken off from Tada-U Air Base, carried out the bombing while there was no armed clash near the village. On its return after circling Kale Wa town, the aircraft deliberately bombed the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the 500-pound bombs was dropped near the Union Highway, east of a petrol station on the western side of Kan Htoo Ma Village, where innocent civilians were present, causing mass casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, 11 civilians were killed with severe injuries<\/strong>, 9 others were wounded<\/strong>, and three buildings were damaged<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NUG Ministry of Human Rights stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the unlawful military coup, the terrorist junta has persistently launched indiscriminate attacks targeting civilians even in areas where no clashes occurred. While attempting to hold an illegal election, its atrocities against civilians have intensified further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. SAC Forces Conduct Repeated Aerial Attacks with Chemical Bombs on Villages in Kyaukme Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the TNLA (Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army), the junta forces launched consecutive airstrikes, including the use of chemical bombs, against villages in Kyaukme Township, Northern Shan State (Ta\u2019angland, Division 2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifically, Lone Wai Village<\/strong> was attacked by junta aircraft, which dropped 30 bombs<\/strong> and 3 chemical bombs<\/strong>. Afterward, junta ground troops entered the village and burned down houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the use of chemical bombs, TNLA soldiers suffered symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and rapid breathing. Currently, three TNLA members are receiving medical treatment in hospital<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, on September 27 at 2:30 PM<\/strong>, the junta deliberately targeted civilians in Nam Saw Village<\/strong>, launching one 250-pound bomb and firing six artillery shells. The attack injured one man, whose right leg was hit, and also destroyed cornfields cultivated by villagers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. U.S. Government Sanctions Myanmar Companies Involved in the \u201cBurmese Arms Procurement Network\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

September 29<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reports confirm that the U.S. government has imposed sanctions on Myanmar companies involved in the Burmese Arms Procurement Network<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among them is Royal Shune Lei Company Limited<\/strong>, which in 2022 brokered its first arms deal for the Myanmar military with North Korea\u2019s KOMID (Korea Mining Development Trading Corporation).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To expand KOMID\u2019s sales in Myanmar, Royal Shune Lei staff members, including Kyaw Thu Myo Myint<\/strong> and CEO Tin Myo Aung<\/strong>, traveled to China from late 2023 onward for multiple business meetings with KOMID representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Royal Shune Lei employees also went to Beijing to apply for visas to facilitate a Myanmar delegation\u2019s travel to North Korea (DPRK). KOMID\u2019s deputy representative in Beijing, Kim Yong Ju<\/strong>, along with other KOMID agents, collaborated with Tin Myo Aung and Kyaw Thu Myo Myint to arrange the sale of bombs, aerial surveillance equipment, and two types of aerial bomb guidance kits<\/strong> for the Myanmar Air Force through Royal Shune Lei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To enable Royal Shune Lei to validate and test these orders, KOMID provided sample aerial bomb guidance kits. Aung Ko Ko Oo<\/strong>, a director of Royal Shune Lei, was also involved in these dealings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The U.S. government has now designated Royal Shune Lei<\/strong> and Kyaw Thu Myo Myint<\/strong> under Executive Order (E.O.) 13551<\/strong> for engaging directly or indirectly in the import, export, re-export, training, advisory services, or financial transactions related to North Korean arms and associated materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, due to their involvement in Myanmar\u2019s defense sector, they were also designated under E.O. 14014<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Royal Shune Lei had already been sanctioned by Canada and the United Kingdom in October 2024<\/strong>, and by the European Union in December 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
