Five earthquakes struck within one day in central and northern Myanmar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On&nbsp;<strong>September 10, 2025<\/strong>, five earthquakes occurred in central and northern Myanmar. According to emergency earthquake reports, the quakes took place near townships in&nbsp;<strong>Mandalay Region<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Sagaing Region<\/strong>, with magnitudes ranging from&nbsp;<strong>2.2 to 4.7<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first quake occurred at&nbsp;<strong>3:14 p.m.<\/strong>, about&nbsp;<strong>18 miles from Ottarathiri Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, with a magnitude of&nbsp;<strong>2.2<\/strong>. Another tremor followed at&nbsp;<strong>6:24:51 p.m.<\/strong>, about&nbsp;<strong>11 miles from Pyawbwe Township, Mandalay Region<\/strong>, with a magnitude of&nbsp;<strong>3.7<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At&nbsp;<strong>7:25:42 p.m.<\/strong>, the strongest quake of the day struck about&nbsp;<strong>8 miles from Wuntho Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, with a magnitude of&nbsp;<strong>4.7<\/strong>. Similarly, at&nbsp;<strong>8:32:24 p.m.<\/strong>, another quake of&nbsp;<strong>3.9 magnitude<\/strong>&nbsp;occurred about&nbsp;<strong>4 miles from Thazi Township, Mandalay Region<\/strong>. Later, at&nbsp;<strong>8:57:07 p.m.<\/strong>, another quake of&nbsp;<strong>3.1 magnitude<\/strong>&nbsp;was recorded about&nbsp;<strong>18 miles from Ywangan Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All the earthquakes occurred at a depth of&nbsp;<strong>10 kilometers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The NUG has issued a public reminder urging people to follow&nbsp;<strong>safety precautions and protective measures<\/strong>&nbsp;to minimize casualties and damage caused by earthquakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>2. Graduation ceremony of the BPLA NCO training course attended by KNLA and AA commanders<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On&nbsp;<strong>September 2<\/strong>, in the&nbsp;<strong>BPLA Military Region No. 107<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Burma People\u2019s Liberation Army (BPLA)<\/strong>&nbsp;held the graduation ceremony of its&nbsp;<strong>2nd batch NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) training course<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event was attended by commanders from the&nbsp;<strong>Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Brigade 5<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Arakan Army (AA)<\/strong>, and leaders from other allied forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The training course was conducted by the&nbsp;<strong>Arakan Army (AA)<\/strong>&nbsp;and lasted about&nbsp;<strong>five months<\/strong>. Trainees included members from&nbsp;<strong>BPLA, Force for Federal Democracy (FFD), Pa Ka Pha (Yangon), Pa Ka Pha (The Min Ta Man), Pa Ka Pha (Kawa), and Pa Ka Pha (In Ta Kaw)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Out of&nbsp;<strong>66 soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;who initially joined, only&nbsp;<strong>50 successfully graduated<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>3. Six drug users and one drug dealer arrested in Namtu and Hsipaw townships by TNLA police<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the&nbsp;<strong>PSLF\/TNLA (Palaung State Liberation Front\/Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army)<\/strong>, a total of&nbsp;<strong>six drug users<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>one drug dealer<\/strong>&nbsp;were arrested in&nbsp;<strong>Namtu<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Hsipaw Townships<\/strong>&nbsp;within TNLA-administered areas in northern Shan State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the&nbsp;<strong>first week of September<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>TNLA township police<\/strong>&nbsp;arrested six drug users in&nbsp;<strong>Namtu Township<\/strong>&nbsp;during a surprise anti-drug inspection. The arrested were identified as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Maung Ma Naw (16)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maung Daung Lay (18)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maung Saing Gwan (18)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maung Myint Oo (18)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maung Aung Pwint (18)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>U Tun Kyaw (34)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Similarly, in&nbsp;<strong>Hsipaw Township<\/strong>, during a surprise inspection at the checkpoint near&nbsp;<strong>Kon Mon Village<\/strong>, the TNLA police arrested a drug dealer at around&nbsp;<strong>11 p.m. on September 7<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The suspect,&nbsp;<strong>U Naing Htun (40)<\/strong>, was caught with a pack of&nbsp;<strong>WY methamphetamine pills<\/strong>&nbsp;hidden inside a flashlight casing within his bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PSLF\/TNLA announced that the drug dealer will be prosecuted under anti-drug laws, while the drug users will be provided with&nbsp;<strong>rehabilitation and moral correction programs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>4. Pyay University student escapes from forced military conscription<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A&nbsp;<strong>distance-learning student from Pyay University<\/strong>&nbsp;who had been forcibly detained for military conscription managed to escape, according to the&nbsp;<strong>Shwe Taung People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The escapee,&nbsp;<strong>Maung Myo Min Hein<\/strong>, was arrested in&nbsp;<strong>August 2025<\/strong>&nbsp;near the end of&nbsp;<strong>17th Street, Pyay City<\/strong>, while riding a motorbike with three friends. They were blocked and forcibly detained by soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although all four were initially arrested, the other two\u2014who worked at the Pyay Electricity Office\u2014were released after their superiors intervened. Myo Min Hein, however, was kept at&nbsp;<strong>Collection Camp No. 959<\/strong>&nbsp;for three nights and later transferred to&nbsp;<strong>Battalion No. 14<\/strong>&nbsp;in Pyay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Battalion No. 14, he was held for about&nbsp;<strong>five days<\/strong>&nbsp;along with other detainees. He managed to escape when the military commission guards were inattentive and later contacted the&nbsp;<strong>Shwe Taung Pa Ka Pha<\/strong>&nbsp;for refuge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is confirmed that he resides in&nbsp;<strong>Shwe Taung Township, Myoma Group Village<\/strong>, and is a&nbsp;<strong>first-year Physics distance-learning student at Pyay University<\/strong>.
