AA attacks a military vessel in Kyaukphyu Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 30<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 29 around 5:30 PM<\/strong>, the Arakan Army (AA) fired at a military vessel sailing in the sea between Ramree Island and Man Aung Island in Kyaukphyu Township, Rakhine State, using a&nbsp;<strong>Howitzer (long-range artillery)<\/strong>&nbsp;from a distance of about&nbsp;<strong>10,000 meters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AA spokesperson&nbsp;<strong>Khine Thu Kha<\/strong>&nbsp;told several media outlets that the strike hit the target, causing the ship to catch fire and retreat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe vessel that was struck is one that has been patrolling around the Kyaukphyu\u2013Ramree area and shelling civilian villages with heavy artillery and rocket salvos,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Kyaukphyu Township, the junta military has been conducting counter-offensives with&nbsp;<strong>army, navy, and air force units<\/strong>&nbsp;to defend against AA\u2019s assaults. Despite these efforts, AA has already seized control of most villages, while the junta only holds positions at naval bases and garrisons in the town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although AA temporarily withdrew from some villages along the&nbsp;<strong>Ramree\u2013Kyaukphyu road<\/strong>&nbsp;(such as Lape Khamao [New Village] and Pya The) during the second week of August, AA successfully&nbsp;<strong>regained control of Lape Khamao village<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>August 28<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kyaukphyu Township hosts&nbsp;<strong>Chinese investment projects<\/strong>, including the&nbsp;<strong>Kyaukphyu Airport<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>Dhanyawaddy Naval Base Headquarters<\/strong>. Since&nbsp;<strong>February 2025<\/strong>, fighting has escalated intensely, with the junta deploying advanced drones and combined&nbsp;<strong>land, sea, and air forces<\/strong>&nbsp;in its operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Junta Commission troops stationed in Ngwe Taung New Village, Demoso, attacked and overrun<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 30<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to&nbsp;<strong>Karenni Military Region (Strategy \u2013 11)<\/strong>, joint revolutionary forces launched an attack on junta commission troops stationed at&nbsp;<strong>Ngwe Taung New Village, Demoso Township, Karenni State<\/strong>, completely overrunning their position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 29<\/strong>, from&nbsp;<strong>10:00 AM until 3:00 PM<\/strong>, Strategy 11 forces together with allied Karenni forces stormed the site where more than&nbsp;<strong>100 junta commission troops<\/strong>&nbsp;were stationed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At least&nbsp;<strong>15 junta troops were killed<\/strong>, and over&nbsp;<strong>30 wounded<\/strong>. Weapons seized included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4 x MA-1 rifles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 x MA-2 rifle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 x MA-3 rifle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and some ammunition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The operation was jointly carried out by the&nbsp;<strong>Shan South Drone Unit, Strategy-11 Drone Unit, DMO Local Drone Unit, UAV Drone Unit, and KNA Drone Unit<\/strong>. Two resistance fighters were injured, but their conditions are not life-threatening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resistance stated that the success of this coordinated attack significantly disrupted and&nbsp;<strong>crippled a junta column advancing from Demoso toward Pruso<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. Mine attack near USDP office in Minhla Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 30<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Underground Panther Force \u2013 Oupo<\/strong>&nbsp;announced that it carried out a mine attack near the entrance of the&nbsp;<strong>Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) office<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Boh Yone Tan Ward, Minhla Township, Tharyarwaddy District, Bago Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 29 at around 7:20 PM<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Underground Panther Force \u2013 Oupo<\/strong>, in cooperation with&nbsp;<strong>(3802) Battalion, Subdivision (4)<\/strong>, conducted the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Several junta commission troops stationed at the USDP office were injured in the blast. Resistance fighters successfully withdrew without casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The group emphasized that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis attack is a warning that the people will never accept the junta\u2019s illegal election. Anyone participating in or assisting with that election will be heavily targeted.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. Airstrike on Mainlong Township kills nun and woman; injures monks, novices, and civilians<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 30<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the night of&nbsp;<strong>August 29 at 10:30 PM<\/strong>, without any ongoing battle in the area, junta forces carried out an airstrike on&nbsp;<strong>Panthapyay Village, Mainlong Township, Brigade (1) area of Ta\u2019ang Region<\/strong>, dropping&nbsp;<strong>four 250-pound bombs<\/strong>, according to a statement from the&nbsp;<strong>PSLF\/TNLA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bombing killed&nbsp;<strong>one nun<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>one woman<\/strong>, while injuring:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>2 monks<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3 novices<\/strong>, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1 civilian man<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally,&nbsp;<strong>four houses<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>five school buildings<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>one monastery<\/strong>&nbsp;were damaged or destroyed in the strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5. Two civilians killed in Minbu and Myothit Townships due to junta fighter jet bombings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 30<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Ngakin Village (Minbu Township, Magway Region)<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Letti Village (Myothit Township, Magway Region)<\/strong>, junta forces conducted airstrikes with fighter jets, killing&nbsp;<strong>two civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;and injuring&nbsp;<strong>one more<\/strong>, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At&nbsp;<strong>11:00 AM on August 30<\/strong>, two fighter jets from&nbsp;<strong>(NaMaKha)<\/strong>&nbsp;bombed&nbsp;<strong>Ngakin Village<\/strong>, according to the Monywa Township True News Information Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bombs struck civilians who were returning after observing&nbsp;<strong>Uposatha precepts<\/strong>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<strong>Man Aung Yadana Pagoda<\/strong>, killing&nbsp;<strong>two people instantly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, at&nbsp;<strong>9:40 AM the same day<\/strong>, a junta fighter jet from&nbsp;<strong>Pakokku Tactical Command (101)<\/strong>&nbsp;bombed&nbsp;<strong>Letti Village<\/strong>&nbsp;with three bombs, despite there being no fighting in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That attack left&nbsp;<strong>one civilian injured<\/strong>, and also killed&nbsp;<strong>a pig and a chicken<\/strong>&nbsp;raised by local villagers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>6. Three civilians killed in Kyauktaga and Kyaukme Townships by junta artillery fire<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 30<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Kyauktaga Township (Bago Region)<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Kyaukme Township (Northern Shan State)<\/strong>, three civilians were killed by junta artillery strikes, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 29 around 7:30 PM<\/strong>, junta forces from&nbsp;<strong>(307) Battalion in Penwe Kone Town, Kyauktaga Township<\/strong>&nbsp;fired&nbsp;<strong>120mm artillery shells indiscriminately<\/strong>. One shell hit a funeral home in&nbsp;<strong>Zarap Khin New Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the explosion,&nbsp;<strong>U Pho Kyaw (49)<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Daw Kyi Kyi (44)<\/strong>&nbsp;were killed on the spot, while&nbsp;<strong>four other civilians were injured<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, on&nbsp;<strong>August 29 around 2:00 PM<\/strong>, in&nbsp;<strong>Khaitun Hoon Village, Kyaukme Township<\/strong>, artillery fire from junta forces struck the area, killing&nbsp;<strong>U Soe Maung (51)<\/strong>, a displaced civilian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>7. Pyu Saw Htee member from Kone Kyi Pyu Village, Chauk Township, defects with arms and rewarded 500,000 MMK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 30<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aung Kyaw San<\/strong>, a Pyu Saw Htee member from&nbsp;<strong>Kone Kyi Pyu Village, Chauk Township, Magway Region<\/strong>, defected and joined the&nbsp;<strong>Chauk Revolutionary Army (CRA)<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>August 10<\/strong>, according to an announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He defected with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 x MA-2 rifle (light machine gun)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 x magazines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 x hand grenade<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>145 rounds of ammunition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For this, the&nbsp;<strong>CRA awarded him 500,000 MMK<\/strong>&nbsp;and safely transported him along with his family to liberated territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>8. One-year memorial held for YRF Finance Chief Ko Thant Htike (aka Nyi Nyi)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 30<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Yadanabon Revolutionary Force (YRF)<\/strong>&nbsp;held a memorial honoring the one-year anniversary of the death of&nbsp;<strong>Ko Thant Htike (aka Nyi Nyi)<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<strong>Central Committee member and Finance Department head<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A statement marking the&nbsp;<strong>first anniversary of his death<\/strong>&nbsp;was read aloud by another Central Committee member.
