Electricity pylons supplying SAC\u2019s Factory (Ka Pa Sa-22) in Saikphyu Township destroyed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 23, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Saikphyu Pyauk Kyarr One-Man Guerrilla People\u2019s Defense Force, electricity pylons that supplied power to the military council\u2019s arms factory&nbsp;<strong>Ka Pa Sa-22<\/strong>&nbsp;in Saikphyu Township, Magway Region, were blown up and destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 17<\/strong>, pylons transmitting electricity to Ka Pa Sa-22 were attacked with mines in a joint operation carried out by the&nbsp;<strong>Northern Saikphyu Force<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Paung Township People\u2019s Defense Force (Pa Ka Pha)<\/strong>, and the&nbsp;<strong>Saikphyu Pyauk Kyarr Guerrilla Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack was carried out during rainy weather, and revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without casualties. SAC\u2019s Tarpyat Gate checkpoint in Nyaung Lay Pin attacked by sniper, one soldier killed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 23, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At around&nbsp;<strong>10:39 AM on August 23<\/strong>, the Fire Dragon People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF) carried out a sniper attack on the military council\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>Tarpyat Gate checkpoint<\/strong>&nbsp;along the&nbsp;<strong>Madauk\u2013Shwegyin road<\/strong>&nbsp;in Nyaung Lay Pin Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One junta soldier was killed on the spot. Revolutionary forces successfully withdrew without casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the attack, junta troops stationed at the&nbsp;<strong>Tharthana Vihara Monastery in Puzun Myaung Village<\/strong>&nbsp;fired indiscriminately with&nbsp;<strong>40mm launchers and small arms<\/strong>, but no revolutionary fighters were harmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along the&nbsp;<strong>Nyaung Lay Pin\u2013Madauk\u2013Shwegyin road<\/strong>, the SAC maintains&nbsp;<strong>Muk Kham Gate, Tarpyat Gate, and Yekyichaung Gate<\/strong>&nbsp;checkpoints, guarded by soldiers from&nbsp;<strong>Light Infantry Battalions (LIB) 20 and 264<\/strong>, Pyu Saw Htee militia, and police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. Junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee militia from Lin Zin police station hit landmine while on patrol<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 23, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 22<\/strong>, junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militia from&nbsp;<strong>Lin Zin Police Station<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Salin Township<\/strong>&nbsp;stepped on a landmine planted on the path between&nbsp;<strong>Lin Zin Police Station and Buu Khar Village<\/strong>, in the Thanatkha Field area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mine had been set by the&nbsp;<strong>Daung Nyi Naung Guerrilla Force<\/strong>. Following the explosion, a clash broke out and lasted about&nbsp;<strong>five minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta side carried away their dead and wounded before retreating back to Lin Zin Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. Four Deemawso PDF fighters fall in battle at Daung Kha Road Junction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 23, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Deemawso Local PDF, Battalion 2<\/strong>, announced that&nbsp;<strong>four of its comrades were killed<\/strong>&nbsp;in the battle at&nbsp;<strong>Daung Kha road junction<\/strong>&nbsp;in Deemawso Township, Karenni State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 18<\/strong>, while fighting bravely for the nation and the people, the following Deemawso LPDF fighters gave their lives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Company Commander Khun Aung Thet (age 21)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Company Commander Saw Nikethu (aka Khwa Si, age 21)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Platoon Commander Khun Ti Ya (age 21)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Private Aung Lin Oo (age 23)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>They were honored for upholding the oath:&nbsp;<em>\u201cWe pledge to sacrifice our lives for the establishment of a Federal Union.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Deemawso PDF Battalion 2<\/strong>&nbsp;officially recognized them as&nbsp;<strong>fallen heroes and martyrs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5. Man shot dead in Naung Pin Village, Kyaukme Township; monastery in Kun Salan Village bombed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 23, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of&nbsp;<strong>August 23<\/strong>, a junta column entered&nbsp;<strong>Naung Pin Village, Kyaukme Township<\/strong>, near the railway line, and&nbsp;<strong>shot dead a man<\/strong>&nbsp;who had been left behind in the village due to financial hardship, according to Shwe Phi Myay News Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deceased was a resident of&nbsp;<strong>Zi Pin Village<\/strong>, near Naung Pin. He had fled to Naung Pin to escape clashes but was killed when junta troops opened fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That same morning, the junta also&nbsp;<strong>carried out an airstrike near Naung Pin Market<\/strong>, during which several homes were destroyed by fire. Reports indicate that there were&nbsp;<strong>civilian casualties and injuries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Ward 4, Naung Pin Village<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>six civilians\u2014including children\u2014were trapped<\/strong>&nbsp;amid the fighting. The trapped group included people ranging in age from&nbsp;<strong>3 years old to over 70<\/strong>, some of whom were wounded and in need of medical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, on&nbsp;<strong>August 23 at around 3:30 PM<\/strong>, the junta&nbsp;<strong>dropped a 500-lb bomb from a jet fighter<\/strong>&nbsp;on the monastery in&nbsp;<strong>Kun Salan Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bombing&nbsp;<strong>severely damaged nearly all monastery buildings<\/strong>, and there may have been fatalities, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>6. Junta airstrike on monastery in Zagar Pin Village, Madaya Township, with 500-lb bomb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 23, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Voice of Mandalay, on&nbsp;<strong>August 23<\/strong>, the military council carried out an&nbsp;<strong>airstrike on the monastery in Zagar Pin Village<\/strong>, Madaya Township, Mandalay Region, using a&nbsp;<strong>500-lb bomb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At&nbsp;<strong>9:16 AM<\/strong>, a jet fighter from&nbsp;<strong>Tada U Air Base<\/strong>&nbsp;dropped the bomb directly on the monastery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also reported that on the previous evening,&nbsp;<strong>August 22 at around 7:30 PM<\/strong>, the same monastery was attacked with a&nbsp;<strong>suicide drone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, on&nbsp;<strong>August 22 at around 5:02 PM<\/strong>, junta troops&nbsp;<strong>set fire to houses<\/strong>&nbsp;near&nbsp;<strong>Kyauk Tan Ta Village<\/strong>&nbsp;in Madaya Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>7. R\u0101ma\u00f1\u00f1a Mon Army holds graduation ceremony for 5th weekly basic military training course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 23, Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Mon State Party (Anti-Dictatorship)<\/strong>&nbsp;\/&nbsp;<strong>R\u0101ma\u00f1\u00f1a Mon Army (NMSP-AD\/RMA)<\/strong>&nbsp;announced that it has held the graduation ceremony for its&nbsp;<strong>5th weekly basic military training course<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremony took place on&nbsp;<strong>August 20<\/strong>&nbsp;at a liberated area. Attendees included&nbsp;<strong>Deputy Commander Major Nain Ma Agha of the RMA<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Commander Pyan Hlwa of the allied Pyan Hlwa Column<\/strong>, who delivered morale-boosting speeches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was stated that despite hardships, the trainees persevered with&nbsp;<strong>determination, discipline, and courage<\/strong>, and throughout the course demonstrated&nbsp;<strong>outstanding abilities<\/strong>.
