\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 From\u00a03rd<\/sup> to 14th<\/sup> October of 2015, Logos Hope Books Ship (Good
\nbooks for all) <\/span>\u2013<\/span> a ship that was full of\u00a0books <\/span>\u2013<\/span> arrived\u00a0Rangoon, Burma, at Alone International Port Terminal.<\/span> It\u00a0was a big chance for book lovers and bookworms. We were long-time hungry for\u00a0books, ready to go and see there, and hoping to have an enjoyable and happy\u00a0moment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Poverty\u00a0of books\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Book\u00a0shops in Rangoon were rare to see. If one be found in some road and street or\u00a0at some township, hardly to find my favorite books there. I gave up many times finding\u00a0my favorite Ray Bradbury and some Science fiction books. If my friends lived in\u00a0foreign country asked me what I needed, I replied them to bring books. I always
\nremembered what my father said, what he admired most in foreign country was\u00a0availability of books. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Logos\u00a0Hope was coming to town<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Book\u00a0lovers were planning to meet the ship. My mother dreamt Dr.Seuss<\/span>\u2019<\/span>
\nlatest book, and some of his series to find in Logos Hope. I too was so excited\u00a0to go and browse at such a great, and big books ship with thousands of books in\u00a0one place. I listed some books which I hoped to buy at Logos Hope <\/span>\u2013\u00a0<\/span>the place would be the most beautiful things I would have never seen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Be\u00a0patient, and see<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To reach the place where\u00a0Logos Hope harbored, we would have to take at least one hour and more by taxi because\u00a0of traffic blocking. My father did not want me to go there. He said it was not\u00a0a good thing taking many hours just to buy books. But father, it was a rare\u00a0chance for us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Difference between foreign countries and ours<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 My father said there were\u00a0book shops everywhere in France and England he once visited where everyone go\u00a0and buy books easily. Sometimes there were special book sales anyone can buy\u00a0with one dollar and carry the books as much as you can in one time with your\u00a0hand from the shop. No worry about the books, go there and take books you\u00a0wanted. But father<\/span>\u2026<\/span>. we lived in Rangoon, not\u00a0in France or England. Beggars cannot be choosers. If our country have plenty of\u00a0books, and book shops like foreign countries as you ever said, I believed I would\u00a0have no interest in Logos Hope. However Amazon could send books by online\u00a0shipping nowadays, our country was still out of reach to have the chance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

News\u00a0and Media<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The ship was very big!….\u00a0<\/span>the photo I saw in the news. Inside the\u00a0Logos Hope, there were never-ending book shelves, and the every-colored books<\/span>\u2026<\/span>..\u00a0that I saw at Facebook. People comfortably browsed books inside the Logos Hope<\/span>\u2026<\/span>. I\u00a0saw at news and media. So I was decided to go there. I hoped it would be worth going.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Seeing\u00a0is believing.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

(I was so sad to see a row of people outside the gate.)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 How sad to see such a row\u00a0of people waiting outside for entering the gate of the port. They seemed have\u00a0been waiting longer than me. I did not see any sign of Logos Hope books ship. It\u00a0means I had to behind the other to join the queue! However I was hungry for\u00a0books, I did not want to stand in a row in order to wait under the hot, and
\nrisky sunny earth, and give an hour or more just for entering the gate! I now\u00a0fully understand why my father did not want me to go there.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
\u00a0(My friend sent me the photo of people inside the port still queuing for entering Logos Hope.)<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I later heard from a\u00a0friend of mine waited for 3 hours outside the gate, some were not allowed to\u00a0enter because the time<\/span> was<\/span> up! (Although it was announced\u00a0opened until 6:00 PM, it closed the gate at 5:00 PM). I was decided to go back\u00a0home as soon as I saw the crowd.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Goodbye\u00a0Logos Hope<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It might not be crowded next\u00a0day, someone told me. No, I would never try again. Our country, our poor\u00a0country, a country poor in books<\/span>\u2026\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I finally decided I should\u00a0have to go and find a book shop in Rangoon where Logos Hopes<\/span>\u2019\u00a0<\/span>books would be sold. \u00a0<\/span>From now on<\/span>\u2026\u00a0<\/span>Good bye Logos Hope<\/span>\u2026<\/span>.. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
