The Ta\u2019ang Liberation Council (TLC) issued a statement on August 22, 2025, strongly condemning the military junta\u2019s ongoing airstrikes targeting civilian areas and its preparations to conduct an illegal sham election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to TLC, between July 21 and August 21, 2025, the junta carried out over 25 aerial bombing attacks across Kyaukme, Mogok, Hsipaw, Kutkai, and Mainngaw townships in Ta\u2019ang areas. These assaults killed 59 civilians and injured more than 100 others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, on August 22, in Naungpain Village, Kyaukme Township, the junta dropped 39 bombs<\/strong>, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TLC expressed deep condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in these attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the TLC declared its outright rejection of the junta\u2019s attempt to hold a sham election\u2014an effort to maintain its dictatorship and seize unlawful power without the people\u2019s mandate. The TLC urged the public not to participate in the junta\u2019s election and called on the international community and governments not to recognize it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TLC also appealed to the United Nations and international organizations to take effective action against the junta\u2019s crimes against humanity and mass killings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to data collected by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), from July 1 to August 22, 2025, at least 119 men were killed nationwide<\/strong> by the terrorist military group. Among the victims were 20 boys under the age of 18<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sagaing Region recorded the highest number of deaths, with 27 fatalities<\/strong>. Of the total 119 victims, at least seven were shot dead by junta troops<\/strong>, AAPP confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 20, in Hakha, Chin State, near Nari Sin, junta forces conducted stop-and-search operations. During this time, they ordered Salai Sang Khia<\/strong> to stop his motorbike. When he continued driving, junta troops opened fire, hitting him in the stomach and legs, causing him to fall from his motorcycle. Afterward, soldiers beat him on the head with their rifles, interrogated him, and then sent him to the hospital. Despite receiving medical treatment, he died of his injuries at around 9:00 p.m. the same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Education of the National Unity Government announced that, in cooperation with CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) teachers actively working in community-based schools, it will hold a revolutionary education talk titled \u201cTo Nurture Our Fields\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim is to ensure that all children\u2014the new generation who will shape the nation\u2019s future\u2014have access to learning in safe and secure schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry highlighted that due to the junta\u2019s inhumane airstrikes, countless children are losing their right to education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program will discuss ways to revive and nurture community-based education, safeguard children\u2019s learning rights, and confront current challenges. It will also address the \u201cSafe Schools, Safe Education\u201d campaign<\/strong>, engaging parents and communities in dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revolutionary education talk \u201cTo Nurture Our Fields\u201d<\/strong> will be broadcast live on the Ministry of Education\u2019s Facebook page on October 24, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry invited all revolutionary parents to join the program, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to replant seeds of hope for children\u2019s education on a soil scarred by irreplaceable losses and destruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
