According to the PRF International Support Forces\u2019 country-by-country contribution summary, Singapore, Myanmar, the United States, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and Japan stand at the top as the countries providing the highest levels of financial support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just as PDFs exist across the whole nation, PRF has a global presence with support members located worldwide. Among these support forces, PRF has identified and highlighted the countries with the largest number of contributing members and the highest financial contributions during July 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PRF announced that the contributions made during July 2025 will be allocated to sustain PDF battalions\/columns, covering their operational and general expenses. Once these resources are delivered to the People\u2019s Defense Forces, detailed reports will also be published on PRF platforms for accountability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In July 2025 alone, there were 22,451 contributing members<\/strong>, and the total financial support reached USD 657,083<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been learned that Myanmar communities in Melbourne will organize a demonstration calling for the release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protest demanding the freedom of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all political prisoners will take place in Melbourne, Australia, on August 24<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside this demand, participants will also demonstrate against ongoing military airstrikes in ethnic regions, voice support for U Kyaw Moe Tun to continue serving as Myanmar\u2019s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and protest against the junta\u2019s sham elections and its campaign of terror.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 3. Justice For Myanmar Urges Europe, Canada, the UK, and the US to Impose Sanctions on the Junta\u2019s Newly Created \u201cNational Security and Peace Commission\u201d Designed to Evade International Sanctions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justice For Myanmar (JFM) has called on Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States to impose sanctions on the junta\u2019s newly created National Security and Peace Commission (NSPC)<\/em>, which was deliberately established to bypass existing international sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to JFM, the illegal Myanmar military junta dissolved its so-called State Administration Council (SAC)<\/em>\u2014which had combined executive, legislative, and judicial powers\u2014and reconstituted it as the National Security and Peace Commission (NSPC)<\/em>. JFM highlighted that this maneuver was a calculated attempt to create an alarming loophole that would enable the junta to circumvent international sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NSPC is chaired by junta leader Min Aung Hlaing<\/strong> with Soe Win<\/strong> as deputy chair. Both are sanctioned military criminals under measures imposed by Canada, the EU, the UK, the US, and Australia. JFM noted that all ten members of the NSPC are already subject to at least one form of sanction or designation by international jurisdictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JFM further revealed that the creation of the NSPC has already provided the junta with a loophole to engage in lobbying activities abroad. The junta reportedly hired the US-based public relations firm DCI Group<\/strong> under a one-year contract worth USD 3 million<\/strong> in an effort to rebuild relations with the US government and launder its international image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the junta signed the agreement with DCI Group on July 4<\/strong>, when the SAC was still formally in place, the NSPC was only created on July 31<\/strong>. JFM underlined that this timing suggests the junta deliberately dissolved the SAC to exploit a sanctions loophole, allowing the DCI contract to remain valid under the newly renamed body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JFM stressed that the international community must not allow the junta to escape accountability simply by rebranding the SAC as the NSPC. Sanctions are a critical tool to hold human rights violators, perpetrators of international crimes, and aspiring dictators to account. Governments must ensure that sanctions cannot be evaded through technical maneuvers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JFM spokesperson Yadanar Maung<\/strong> stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is essential that Canada, the EU, the UK, and the US act swiftly to sanction the NSPC, oppose the junta\u2019s sham election, coordinate targeted sanctions, and enforce a global arms embargo. They must also block the junta\u2019s access to funds, weapons, technology, and aviation fuel supply chains.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
