Non-CDM education staff en route to election training in Ye arrested on Thanbyuzayat\u2013Ye highway; made to sign pledge, later released to families<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 15<\/strong><br><em>Radio NUG<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mon State Federal Council (MSFC) announced that security checks are being conducted by the Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF) and Ye People\u2019s Defense Force (YPDF) units \u2014 operating under the MSFC Defense Department \u2014 along the Thanbyuzayat\u2013Ye Highway No. (8) to ensure the safety of travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement said that resistance forces had obtained lists of&nbsp;<strong>Non-CDM government staff<\/strong>&nbsp;who were to take part in the upcoming junta-organized elections in Ye Township. During inspections on the morning of&nbsp;<strong>August 14<\/strong>, four Non-CDM education staff traveling to attend an election training organized by the military council were apprehended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MSRF and YPDF officials detained the four individuals for about&nbsp;<strong>24 hours<\/strong>&nbsp;for investigation. On&nbsp;<strong>August 15<\/strong>, they were released to their families after being made to&nbsp;<strong>sign a pledge<\/strong>&nbsp;stating they would no longer participate in or be involved with the junta\u2019s elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Over 40 junta troops killed as resistance forces ambush military convoy in Monywa; 1 soldier captured along with weapons, ammunition, 12-wheeler truck, and motorcycle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 15<\/strong><br><em>Radio NUG<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 10<\/strong>, resistance forces under the command of the Monywa District Operation Commander launched an ambush against a military convoy and accompanying infantry column departing from the Northwestern Regional Military Command in Monywa, Sagaing Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reports from the Butalin Township Allied Column,&nbsp;<strong>at least 40 junta soldiers were killed<\/strong>&nbsp;in the clash. One soldier was captured alive along with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 MA-1 assault rifle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 magazines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>82 rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, a&nbsp;<strong>12-wheeler truck<\/strong>&nbsp;and one&nbsp;<strong>FZ motorcycle<\/strong>&nbsp;were seized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participating in the operation were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Butalin Township Allied Column<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ayadaw Township People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ayadaw Battle Groups 9, 10, and 11<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monywa District Strategy Unit 66<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PLA forces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Galon Force based in Depayin Township<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monywa Township People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. Around 20 junta troops injured in ambush by resistance forces in Shwebo Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 15<\/strong><br><em>Radio NUG<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 13<\/strong>, a column of around&nbsp;<strong>150 junta troops<\/strong>&nbsp;departing from Hinthargyi Pyu Village, Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region, came under an ambush by people\u2019s resistance forces as it entered Pulei Thwe Village in Wetlet Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The People\u2019s Comrade Defense Force (PCDF) reported that the junta troops retreated back to their original departure point after the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ambush resulted in&nbsp;<strong>around 20 junta soldiers being injured<\/strong>. In Nyaung Lay Pin District \u2013 Junta forces set up gates to extort money and fire heavy weapons into villages<\/strong><br><strong>August 15 \u2014 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In KNU (Karen National Union)\u2013controlled territory, Kaw Thoo Lei Administrative Area, Nyaung Lay Pin District, Leiktho Township \u2014<br>On&nbsp;<strong>August 12, 2025<\/strong>, at around&nbsp;<strong>2:00 p.m.<\/strong>,&nbsp;<em>Soe Aye Htoo Soe<\/em>&nbsp;(age 20) from Tone Tan Ta Village was stopped near the Penzalope railway overpass at a checkpoint set up by junta forces beside a Buddhist monastery. The military council troops detained him and extorted money, forcing him to pay&nbsp;<strong>100,000 kyat<\/strong>&nbsp;before releasing him, according to a KNU central office statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, within Leiktho Township:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>August 7, 2025, 11:40 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Junta forces from LIB-264, based in Penzalope, fired one\u00a0<strong>120 mm heavy mortar<\/strong>\u00a0toward Taung Khin Village. It landed in U Pe Toe\u2019s sesame field near the new ward in the west of Taung Khin Village.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>August 9, 2025, 11:40 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Junta forces from Pain Nwel Kone fired two\u00a0<strong>120 mm heavy mortars<\/strong>, which landed and exploded in farmland near Nam Zalay Village.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>August 10, 2025, 12:30 p.m.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 LIB-264, based in Penzalope, fired one\u00a0<strong>120 mm heavy mortar<\/strong>, which landed and exploded near Thamine Inn Kone Village.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, in Saw Hti Township:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From\u00a0<strong>August 9, 2025, 6:15 p.m. to 9:48 p.m.<\/strong>, junta forces from IB-20, based at Yay Phyu Kan, fired seven\u00a0<strong>60 mm mortars<\/strong>\u00a0which landed and exploded in Gway Kone Village and Kauk Myet Thu Village.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On\u00a0<strong>August 13, 2025, 8:30 a.m.<\/strong>, junta forces from IB-598, based in Phar Baw Village, fired one\u00a0<strong>81 mm mortar<\/strong>, which landed and exploded near Than Man Zar Yat Village.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9<strong>&nbsp;5. In Moe Koke Town \u2014 Junta aerial bombing kills 21 civilians<\/strong><br><strong>August 15 \u2014 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Taa\u2019ang region, within the 4th Military Region, east of Moe Koke Town \u2014<br>A junta airstrike using a fighter jet killed&nbsp;<strong>21 civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;and injured&nbsp;<strong>7 others<\/strong>, according to a PSLF\/TNLA statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 14, 2025, at 8:30 p.m.<\/strong>, a junta aircraft dropped one&nbsp;<strong>500-pound bomb<\/strong>&nbsp;on Lin Yone Kyaung Monastery in Shwe Ku Ward, east of Moe Koke Town. The attack killed&nbsp;<strong>16 women<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>5 men<\/strong>, injured&nbsp;<strong>2 women<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>5 men<\/strong>, and destroyed&nbsp;<strong>15 houses<\/strong>&nbsp;that were hit by bomb fragments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9<strong>&nbsp;6. Pakokku District Local Battalion (1) holds its 2nd regular training graduation, Kyaukme District Special Task Force holds 4th basic military training graduation<\/strong><br><strong>August 15 \u2014 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>August 4, 2025<\/strong>, in a location within resistance-controlled territory in Pakokku District, Magway Region, the Local Battalion (1) of Pakokku District held its&nbsp;<strong>2nd regular training graduation ceremony<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training was attended by five revolutionary forces that had also participated in the 1st regular training:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Earthquake People\u2019s Defence Force<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thu Rain (TR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hunter Pakokku<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Six Senses Guerrilla Force<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Justice Revolution Force<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, two other forces joined in the 2nd regular training: Red Fighter and the Pakokku Township People\u2019s Defence Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of&nbsp;<strong>70 male and female fighters<\/strong>&nbsp;from seven revolutionary forces participated in the 2nd regular training, which lasted&nbsp;<strong>45 days<\/strong>.
