At least 8 junta soldiers killed in an attack on a military camp stationed in Taloke village<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At least eight soldiers from the terrorist junta forces were killed in an attack on their camp stationed in Taloke village, Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, according to resistance forces who took part in the battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resistance launched the attack on August 9 at around 6:00 a.m., targeting the junta troops stationed in Taloke village with three assault columns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The battle lasted until 3:00 p.m., spanning eight hours. Due to casualties on the junta\u2019s side, the enemy responded with more than 30 rounds from 120 mm howitzers, three 60 mm mortars, 12 bombs, and aerial attacks from a Mi-35 helicopter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, four resistance fighters were injured, forcing them to withdraw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the resistance could not completely capture the military camp because the junta received reinforcements from ground troops, artillery units, and forces from Myingyan, the operation still inflicted significant damage and casualties on the enemy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack was jointly carried out by&nbsp;<strong>CDSOM \u2013 Captain Zingya Column<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>PDF \u2013 Taloke<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Six junta soldiers killed in battle in Tamokchone village, Tanintharyi Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Six junta soldiers were killed and at least 15 wounded in a clash with resistance forces in Tamokchone village, Tanintharyi Township, according to the Tanintharyi Township People\u2019s Defense Team\u2019s statement on August 13.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The battle broke out at around 9:30 a.m. on August 10 when junta troops entered Tamokchone village to secure their position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attacking forces came from&nbsp;<strong>Tanintharyi Township PaKaFa<\/strong>&nbsp;(People\u2019s Defense Forces),&nbsp;<strong>Myeik District Battalion-2<\/strong>&nbsp;(Companies 2 and 3), and others who jointly launched the assault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By 2:46 p.m., the junta forces, having sustained heavy casualties, retreated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later, as they attempted to regroup with troops in Laetawyar village and prepare for another advance, another clash broke out, after which the resistance forces withdrew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this battle, while several junta soldiers were killed or seriously injured, two resistance fighters were also wounded, and one fighter heroically sacrificed his life for the nation, according to the Tanintharyi Township People\u2019s Defense Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. \u201cChina\u2019s self-interested dominance is a major obstacle to the Spring Revolution,\u201d says TNLA Commander-in-Chief Tar Bhone Kyaw<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China\u2019s dominance, driven purely by its own self-interest, is one of the major obstacles to Myanmar\u2019s Spring Revolution, said Tar Bhone Kyaw, Commander-in-Chief and General Secretary of the Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), in a social media post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the evening of August 12, under the title&nbsp;<em>\u201cThe biggest difficulties we currently face in the revolution,\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;he wrote about China\u2019s self-interested dominance as a key challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe inhumane and brutal acts of the Myanmar military dictatorship\u2026<br>China\u2019s dominance motivated solely by self-interest\u2026<br>The long-standing oppression that has exhausted and weakened the people\u2026<br>The absence of strong, united leadership for the revolution\u2026<br>And other challenges as well.<br>In such a situation, we face setbacks and advances \u2014 but we must overcome these obstacles step by step.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In northern Shan State, China has been pressuring the TNLA to avoid armed clashes, while at the same time, the junta is increasing military pressure in Mogok, Thabeikkyin, Hsipaw, and Kyaukme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to TNLA spokesperson Lway Yay Oo, speaking earlier this month, the TNLA is facing not only China\u2019s political pressure but also direct military pressure from the junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite these pressures, the TNLA continues to coordinate with allied forces to firmly hold territories under its control, including Kyaukme, Hsipaw, and Mogok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. Eight New Soldiers Defect Without Weapons to Pakokku District Battalion-2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a statement from Pakokku District Battalion-2 (P23702), eight newly trained soldiers stationed under the Natsankwin\u2013Kwinchaungwa Strategic Command defected without weapons to join the resistance forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement, issued on the evening of August 12, said that the eight defectors were fresh graduates from basic military training who had been serving with the junta\u2019s military. They came from two separate units:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Two soldiers<\/strong>\u00a0from the People\u2019s Military, 9th Batch, graduated under the\u00a0<strong>KaLaYa-60 Kyaukkyi<\/strong>\u00a0unit and were deployed in the Natsankwin\u2013Kwinchaungwa Strategic Command area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Six soldiers<\/strong>\u00a0from the People\u2019s Military, 5th Batch, graduated under\u00a0<strong>KaMaYa-593<\/strong>, based in the coastal city of Kyaikto.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ko Thun Min Naing, one of the defectors who had previously served under KaLaYa-60 Kyaukkyi, explained that in the junta army, \u201cPeople\u2019s Military\u201d soldiers are discriminated against by regular troops, treated as expendable, and even used as human shields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He recounted that regular junta soldiers would harass them when drunk or on drugs, sometimes pointing loaded guns at them and even attempting to kill them. Such abuses\u2014combined with being treated \u201cless than human\u201d\u2014led them to escape and seek refuge with PDF battalions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ko Thun Min Khine, aged 33, also told the battalion during a Q&amp;A session that the constant mistreatment and use of People\u2019s Military soldiers as human shields were key reasons for their defection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pakokku District Battalion-2 (P23702) stated that the defectors were accepted after proper verification procedures and are now being sheltered and cared for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The battalion also announced that it welcomes junta soldiers who lay down their arms and join the people\u2019s side, guaranteeing them full human rights, and that those who defect with weapons will also be awarded monetary rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5. Public Cautioned as Fighting May Resume in Thayekone Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pakokku District People\u2019s Defense Force (PaKaFa) has warned civilians in Thayekone Township, Bago Region, to remain cautious, as renewed clashes could erupt following recent junta troop movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 11, around 100 junta soldiers entered the area of Thitnitao village in Thayekone Township and used drones to drop two bombs targeting revolutionary forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later that day, at around 6:00 p.m., the junta column advanced toward Yonepintat village. Revolutionary joint forces detonated triple-linked landmines, killing 13 junta soldiers and injuring many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At around 7:30 p.m., a junta truck-mounted heavy weapon arrived near Phaethitar Pagoda Hill, and the junta column spent the night in Yonepintat village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 12, the junta troops, still stationed in Yonepintat, dropped bombs via drones on local civilians who had fled their homes. That same day, they raided Dahsuaykyauk village\u2014where no fighting was occurring\u2014and burned down homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 13, the junta column was reported to be setting fire to Tharyetkinekyi village, according to the Pakokku District PaKaFa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the column is being counterattacked by Pakokku District PaKaFa combat units, Thayekone Township PaKaFa, and allied resistance forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation remains tense, with the junta conducting intensified military operations. Reports indicate that they have been confiscating vehicles and motorcycles, and abducting civilians to use as human shields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pakokku District PaKaFa\u2019s military commander urged residents to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary movement, and strictly follow safety guidelines for surviving during active conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>6. People\u2019s Liberation Organization\/People\u2019s Liberation Army (PIO\/PIA) Launches Fundraising Campaign for Medicines and Medical Treatment for Comrades in Various Military Zones<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 13<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been learned that the People\u2019s Liberation Organization\/People\u2019s Liberation Army (PIO\/PIA) has launched a fundraising campaign to purchase medicines and cover medical expenses for comrades and trainees serving in various military zones, due to shortages in medical supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMany of our comrades and trainees in the PIO\/PIA\u2019s various military zones are facing health problems\u2014one of the main challenges during the rainy season.
