August 4 \u2013 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Min Tat Township People’s Administration Team reported that the military junta carried out two aerial attacks<\/strong> on Min Tat Town<\/strong> at around 8:50 AM<\/strong> on August 3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although no civilian casualties were reported, approximately 10 buildings<\/strong> were damaged\u20142 government offices<\/strong> and 8 civilian homes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Two Junta Soldiers Who Deserted at Min Hla Dam Captured<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

August 4 \u2013 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two junta soldiers who deserted from their post<\/strong> stationed at the Min Hla Dam<\/strong>, located within the Pegu-Yoma region of Oakpho Township<\/strong>, Thayarwaddy District, Bago Region<\/strong>, were captured, according to Battalion 3802, Unit 5 of Thayarwaddy District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 29<\/strong>, around 8:00 AM<\/strong>, the two deserters\u2014Saw Htoo Pho<\/strong> and Saw Eh Kanya<\/strong>\u2014fled from their station and were later apprehended by Unit 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was learned that Saw Htoo Pho<\/strong>, originally from Oakpho Township, was forcibly conscripted by junta troops in Taung Thone Lone Ywar Thit<\/strong> on March 14<\/strong>. Similarly, Saw Eh Kanya<\/strong>, a native of Min Hla Township<\/strong>, was also abducted while cutting bamboo in Kyaing Pyin Gyi Village<\/strong> on March 28<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both had undergone basic military training (Batch 12)<\/strong> at Yay Mone Tat training school<\/strong> in Hsai Khu Township and were awaiting deployment to Rakhine State<\/strong> when they escaped together with four other new recruits during a stopover in Hlaing Township, Bahan Naung Military Base<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Three Civilians Including a Child Killed in Junta Shelling in Hpakant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

August 4 \u2013 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fighting remains intense in Hpakant Township, Kachin State<\/strong>, and on the morning of August 4<\/strong>, junta forces shelled Myauk Phyu Village<\/strong> from Hpakant Base<\/strong>, killing a 5-year-old child<\/strong> and a 35-year-old man<\/strong>, and injuring 5 others<\/strong>, according to military sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, shelling on Shar Law Kha Village<\/strong> caused injuries to two more civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since August 2<\/strong>, junta forces have launched additional ground assaults toward Shwe Nyaung Pin Hill<\/strong> in the Aye Mya Thaya<\/strong> ward, with ongoing heavy exchanges of fire involving artillery, drones, and various weapons<\/strong> through to August 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Three Women Injured in Jet Fighter Bombing in Kyaukme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

August 4 \u2013 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 10:23 AM<\/strong> on August 4<\/strong>, a junta jet fighter<\/strong> dropped a 500-pound bomb<\/strong> on the Zay Thit market area in Ward 6<\/strong> of Kyaukme<\/strong>, located in TNLA\u2019s Brigade 2 territory<\/strong>, Ta’ang region, according to TNLA reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The explosion injured three women:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daw Mi Mi Thwe (29 years old)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daw Mi Mi Yin (38 years old)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daw Aye Win (60 years old)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bombing also damaged:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 private high school (Daw Chaw School)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 clinic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 houses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 vehicle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between July 6 and August 3<\/strong>, junta airstrikes targeted Kyaukme<\/strong> eight times<\/strong>, killing three men<\/strong> and injuring four women<\/strong> and thirteen men<\/strong>, while destroying 42 homes<\/strong>, one school<\/strong>, and one monastery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 5. Twelve Civilians Arrested During Night Raids in Western Gangaw and Shone Shi Villages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

August 4 \u2013 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the night of August 3<\/strong>, junta troops launched a raid on Western Gangaw<\/strong> and Shone Shi villages<\/strong> in Gangaw Township, Magway Region<\/strong>, arresting 12 civilians<\/strong>, according to Yoe Alin Tan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 10:00 PM<\/strong>, two military vehicles from LIB-50<\/strong> arrived at Laung Htaung checkpoint<\/strong> and entered Pyar Village<\/strong> by midnight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By around 3:00 AM on August 4<\/strong>, junta troops from Shauk Pin Village outpost<\/strong> joined the column and stormed both Western Gangaw<\/strong> and Shone Shi<\/strong>, capturing 12 people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By 6:30 AM<\/strong>, the troops split into two groups and withdrew to Shauk Pin Village<\/strong> and LIB-50 base in Gangaw<\/strong>, releasing 2 women<\/strong> at We Love Gangaw bridge checkpoint<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, at 10:50 AM<\/strong>, Tilin-based junta forces<\/strong> dropped military supplies, rations, and ammunition<\/strong> to their troops via parachute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Y-8 military transport aircraft<\/strong> from the Meiktila Air Base<\/strong> completed 12 drops<\/strong>, delivering 36 supply bundles<\/strong> to junta troops amid monsoon ration stockpiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 6. 18 of 19 Detained Youth Escape from Military Office in Min Hla<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

August 4 \u2013 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Min Hla Township, Bago Region<\/strong>, 18 out of 19 detained youth<\/strong> escaped from a junta-run local administration office<\/strong>, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The escape occurred at night on August 2<\/strong> when the junta soldiers were not present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While one of the escapees has been recaptured, 18 others remain at large<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta continues to conduct daily forcible abductions<\/strong> in villages across Min Hla Township<\/strong>, reportedly rounding up around 100 youth each month<\/strong> to send to military training programs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 7. 38 Arrested in Narcotics Crackdown in Namhkam, Thibaw, and Mogok<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

August 4 \u2013 Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During anti-drug operations in late July<\/strong> across Namhkam, Thibaw, and Mogok Townships<\/strong>, TNLA police arrested a total of 38 individuals<\/strong>\u20147 drug dealers<\/strong> and 31 drug users<\/strong>, according to official TNLA reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Namhkam Township<\/strong>, during the fourth week of July, arrests were made of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dealers<\/strong>: U Than Min Zaw, U Saung Aye<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users<\/strong>: U Soe Min Thu, U Yohan, Ko Pho Toe, Ko Kyit Ta, Ko Mat Tu, U Lun, U Saung Lyu, U Ahlwin, Ko Soe Min Thu, U A Chit, U A Htet, U A Lo, U Htun Kyaw, U Htun Min Naing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7 small bottles of heroin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

85 yaba tablets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 motorcycle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MMK 232,000 in cash<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 28<\/strong>, further arrests included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users<\/strong>: U Htun Min Thu, U Aung San, U Thet Naing Oo, U Chan Thar, U Maung Kyaw<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with drugs, paraphernalia, 1 phone, and MMK 20,000<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Thibaw Township<\/strong>, during late July, drug dealers arrested included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

U Aik Maung, U Kyaw, U San Phwar, Ko Pyae Sone<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seized: 6 small packets<\/strong> and 109 stimulant tablets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users<\/strong> arrested: Ko San Nyunt, U Aik Pi, U Aik Yan, U Aik Sine, Aung Thet Naing, Ko Maung Myint, Ko Pan Sein, Ko Zaw Win, and Ko Aik Kyant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Mogok Township<\/strong>, on August 1<\/strong>, a woman drug dealer named Daw Nadi<\/strong> was caught with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11 soap boxes of heroin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

15 yaba tablets<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 phone<\/strong> and related items<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drug users U Htun Maung, U San Chaung, and U Kyaw Myo Aung<\/strong> were also arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to PSLF\/TNLA<\/strong>, legal action will be taken against drug dealers under anti-drug laws, and rehabilitation programs will be provided for drug users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
