During the firefight,&nbsp;<strong>2 more junta troops were confirmed killed on the spot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the battle, the bodies and injured were transported back by vehicle to Yanae village. Over&nbsp;<strong>200 junta troops<\/strong>&nbsp;are now stationed in Yanae, and they have begun&nbsp;<strong>indiscriminately shelling nearby villages with heavy and small arms fire<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There have also been&nbsp;<strong>arbitrary arrests and beatings<\/strong>&nbsp;of innocent civilians, some of whom have not been released yet. A Monk Killed by Junta Artillery, Drones, and Airstrikes in Kyaukme and Nawnghkio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 31<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<em>Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (TNLA)<\/em>, a monk was killed in&nbsp;<strong>Kyaukme and Nawnghkio Townships<\/strong>\u2014areas under TNLA control in northern Shan State\u2014due to junta&nbsp;<strong>artillery shelling, drone strikes, and air attacks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>July 30<\/strong>, the junta shelled&nbsp;<strong>Naung Pain village<\/strong>&nbsp;in Kyaukme Township with&nbsp;<strong>15 rounds of artillery<\/strong>&nbsp;despite&nbsp;<strong>no active conflict in the area<\/strong>. Explosions hit both the&nbsp;<strong>village and a monastery<\/strong>, damaging multiple structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A monk was killed in the blast. One civilian,&nbsp;<strong>Daw Ma Thein Cho (age 50)<\/strong>, was injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just days earlier, on&nbsp;<strong>July 26<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Hokho village was bombed<\/strong>&nbsp;again by junta fighter jets using two&nbsp;<strong>250-pound bombs<\/strong>, severely injuring&nbsp;<strong>three civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. Mother Killed, Two Children Seriously Injured by Shelling in Hpakant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 31<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the night of&nbsp;<strong>July 30<\/strong>&nbsp;at around 8:30 PM,&nbsp;<strong>a 37-year-old mother was killed<\/strong>&nbsp;and her&nbsp;<strong>two young children seriously injured<\/strong>&nbsp;when a junta artillery shell exploded in&nbsp;<strong>Pyusin Kone<\/strong>, a village within the&nbsp;<strong>Lon Khin Village Tract of Hpakant Township, Kachin State<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shell, likely fired from a junta outpost in&nbsp;<strong>strategic Hpakant hills<\/strong>, struck a residential home in the village and detonated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>15-year-old daughter<\/strong>\u00a0had\u00a0<strong>one of her arms amputated<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>13-year-old son<\/strong>\u00a0sustained\u00a0<strong>critical injuries<\/strong>\u00a0and is now hospitalized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two\u00a0<strong>male neighbors<\/strong>\u00a0also suffered injuries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>According to locals, junta forces&nbsp;<strong>conducted drone surveillance<\/strong>&nbsp;over the area before firing. Despite&nbsp;<strong>no active fighting<\/strong>, shells were&nbsp;<strong>fired directly into civilian areas<\/strong>, causing severe&nbsp;<strong>roof and structural damage<\/strong>&nbsp;to multiple homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Artillery, airstrikes, and drone attacks by the junta continue in Hpakant Township. In just the past&nbsp;<strong>three months<\/strong>, more than&nbsp;<strong>5,000 civilians from 10 villages<\/strong>&nbsp;have been displaced, and&nbsp;<strong>over 50 civilians have died<\/strong>&nbsp;due to these ongoing military assaults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. Drone Strike by People&#8217;s Defense Force in Tanai Kills 2 Children, Injures at Least 5 Others<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 31<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At around&nbsp;<strong>6:00 AM on July 29<\/strong>, in&nbsp;<strong>Wara Zup village<\/strong>&nbsp;located along the Lido Road in&nbsp;<strong>Tanai Township<\/strong>, a&nbsp;<strong>drone strike by the local People&#8217;s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong>&nbsp;killed&nbsp;<strong>two children<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>injured at least five others<\/strong>, according to the Kachin News Group (KNG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A local source reported that&nbsp;<strong>two drones intentionally targeted the village monastery<\/strong>, mistakenly believing it was being used by&nbsp;<strong>Kachin Independence Army (KIA)<\/strong>&nbsp;and other resistance forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The monastery serves as a&nbsp;<strong>school for impoverished children<\/strong>, and the two deceased were&nbsp;<strong>middle-school-aged students in their early teens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The five injured are currently receiving medical care in nearby&nbsp;<strong>Shaduzup village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5. Military Junta Bombs Monastery in Thaddathein Village, Kyaukphyu Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 31<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Arakan Princess Media<\/em>, based in Rakhine State, has reported that the junta military carried out an aerial bombing targeting the&nbsp;<strong>monastery in Thaddathein Village<\/strong>, located in&nbsp;<strong>Min Yat Sub-township, Kyaukphyu Township<\/strong>, Rakhine State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>July 30<\/strong>, at approximately&nbsp;<strong>11:00 AM<\/strong>, a junta&nbsp;<strong>jet fighter dropped two bombs<\/strong>&nbsp;on the village monastery compound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of the airstrike,&nbsp;<strong>significant damage was inflicted<\/strong>&nbsp;on the&nbsp;<strong>main monastery building<\/strong>, including the&nbsp;<strong>monks\u2019 residence, meditation hall, and Dhamma hall<\/strong>, with&nbsp;<strong>roofs and walls collapsing<\/strong>&nbsp;in several sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Just a week earlier, on&nbsp;<strong>July 23<\/strong>, the junta had also launched&nbsp;<strong>airstrikes using jet fighters<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>Kyaopyauk Village Monastery<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Kularbar Village<\/strong>, also in Kyaukphyu Township. Airstrike on Laepanpyin Village Kills One Man, Injures Three Family Members<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 31<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Karen National Union (KNU)<\/strong>&nbsp;has reported that an airstrike by the military junta on&nbsp;<strong>Laepanpyin Village<\/strong>, part of&nbsp;<strong>Pulaw Village Tract in Laemala Township, Myeik\u2013Tavoy District<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>killed one man<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>injured three of his family members<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack took place on&nbsp;<strong>July 26<\/strong>, at around&nbsp;<strong>2:00 PM<\/strong>, when a&nbsp;<strong>junta jet fighter dropped bombs<\/strong>&nbsp;on the village, striking a&nbsp;<strong>Christian religious hall<\/strong>&nbsp;and damaging the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One bomb directly hit a&nbsp;<strong>residential family<\/strong>, killing&nbsp;<strong>32-year-old Saw Kyaw Lin (a.k.a. Saw Doh Kho)<\/strong>. His&nbsp;<strong>wife and two young children<\/strong>&nbsp;were also injured:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Naw Nyoh Nyoh<\/strong>\u00a0(30 years old)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Saw Bo San Bet<\/strong>\u00a0(7 years old)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Naw Su Thein Aung<\/strong>\u00a0(4 years old)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>religious hall<\/strong>&nbsp;was being used as a&nbsp;<strong>school for children<\/strong>, and the KNU noted that the junta is&nbsp;<strong>intentionally targeting non-military structures<\/strong>, including&nbsp;<strong>places of worship and education<\/strong>, despite them clearly not being military targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>7.
