\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. MNDAA: Airstrike that killed 7 civilians in Kutkai seriously harms hard-earned peace agreement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) stated that the airstrike carried out by the military council in Kutkai, which resulted in the deaths of 7 civilians, including a child, constitutes a serious violation of the hard-won ceasefire agreement<\/strong>, and has deeply damaged trust in the peace process<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to MNDAA, two civilian residential areas in Kutkai town<\/strong>, which were not military targets<\/strong>, were bombed by the junta\u2019s air force on July 30 at 12:53 a.m.<\/strong>, resulting in the deaths of seven civilians<\/strong>, including one child, and injuries to 13 others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MNDAA added that this bombing directly increases the risk of reigniting war in northern Shan State<\/strong>, and is not only a dismissal of international and regional actors\u2019 peace efforts<\/strong>, but also an outright insult<\/strong> to their involvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MNDAA emphasized that it has so far exercised maximum restraint<\/strong> in order to prevent the situation from worsening, and is responding in a controlled and measured manner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this year, with China\u2019s mediation<\/strong>, the MNDAA and Myanmar\u2019s military council (SAC) had signed the Haigen ceasefire agreement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the ceasefire, under the leadership of the Special Region Administrative Committee, post-conflict reconstruction efforts<\/strong> had been actively taking place in Kutkai town. MNDAA now says that the recent airstrike overshadowed the fragile peace with the looming presence of war once again<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. TNLA urges united offensive to topple near-collapsing military dictatorship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Palaung State Liberation Front \/ Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (PSLF\/TNLA)<\/strong> has called on ethnic armed revolutionary organizations and Spring Revolution forces to take advantage of the military junta\u2019s weakening grip<\/strong>, and launch a coordinated and strategic offensive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to PSLF\/TNLA, the junta\u2014while organizing a sham election<\/strong> to extend its power\u2014has been losing key battles nationwide<\/strong>, including the loss of regional military headquarters, battalions, and bases due to combined attacks by the people<\/strong>. The Myanmar military is now said to be in a state of collapse<\/strong>, with disintegration from all sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the statement condemned the military council\u2019s war crimes<\/strong>, stating that between June and July 2025<\/strong>, the junta has conducted daily airstrikes and heavy artillery shelling<\/strong> on civilian areas<\/strong> in Ta\u2019ang region towns such as Naungcho, Kyaukme, Hsipaw, Kutkai, Monglon, Mone Ngo, and Mogok<\/strong>\u2014targeting homes, markets, schools, hotels, and lodgings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PSLF\/TNLA strongly condemned these acts as deliberate attacks on civilians<\/strong> and called on the United Nations, the People\u2019s Republic of China<\/strong>, and other international governments<\/strong> to intervene immediately<\/strong> to stop these gross violations of international war laws<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group also urged civilians across all resistance regions, including Ta\u2019ang areas, to remain vigilant, construct bomb shelters<\/strong>, and maintain awareness and mobility<\/strong> to protect themselves from ongoing aerial attacks<\/strong> by the junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. NUG hospital in Kanbalu Township bombed; 5 killed including child<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local sources reported that a hospital operated by the National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong> in eastern Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, was bombed from the air by junta forces<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the night of July 29 at around 10:30 p.m.<\/strong>, the military junta dropped two bombs<\/strong> via jet aircraft into the hospital compound, killing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 4-year-old child<\/strong> under medical treatment<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An elderly man<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A woman<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An adult male<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And another unidentified individual (male or female)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hospital, named \u201cChar Jin\u201d<\/strong>, is located deep in the forest east of the Shwebo-Myitkyina road<\/strong>, and serves not only locals but also patients from surrounding areas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Airstrikes on police station and village in Singu kill 24, injure around 30<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The People\u2019s Defense Force (Mandalay)<\/strong> reported that on the afternoon of July 29<\/strong>, the military council launched airstrikes<\/strong> targeting both the police station in Let Pan Hla village<\/strong> and Shwe Pan Taw village<\/strong>, located in Singu Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airstrike on Let Pan Hla police station<\/strong> killed 22 detainees<\/strong>\u2014comprising 21 men and 1 woman<\/strong>\u2014who were either convicts or suspects under investigation. Around 30 others<\/strong> were injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, two civilians\u2014a man and a woman<\/strong>\u2014were killed in the airstrike on Shwe Pan Taw village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report states that the military junta is deliberately targeting civilians<\/strong>, with repeated and blatant acts of war crimes<\/strong> being committed through these ongoing aerial assaults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 5. Child among two killed in shelling by junta forces in Chaung-U Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At around 4:30 p.m. on July 29<\/strong>, the Myanmar military based in Myapulae<\/strong> fired two artillery shells<\/strong> into Kyee Kone village<\/strong>, located in Chaung-U Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shells landed and exploded<\/strong> on the main village road, killing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 10-year-old child<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 30-year-old woman<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack also injured:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three adult men<\/strong>, including another 10-year-old boy\u2019s companion<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 40-year-old woman<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 60-year-old woman<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 6. Ambush in Launglon: Over 30 junta troops killed; one revolutionary fighter honored in death<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Pan Tin Inn village<\/strong>, Launglon Township, Dawei District, Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>, an ambush against a junta column resulted in at least 30 junta soldiers killed<\/strong> and one resistance fighter fallen in battle<\/strong>, according to the Durak Task Force<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 29 at around 7:30 a.m.<\/strong>, a combined resistance force ambushed a military convoy of around 300 troops<\/strong>, initiating a fierce exchange of fire<\/strong> that lasted approximately 10 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, the junta lost no fewer than 30 troops<\/strong>, and one fighter from the joint resistance force<\/strong> sacrificed his life in the encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Tanyoung<\/strong>, Salin Township, Magway Region<\/strong>, a battle to seize the local police station led to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eight junta-aligned police officers killed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two surrendering and defecting<\/strong>, according to the People’s Defense Force \u2013 Salin (Salin PDF)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 30 at 4:50 a.m.<\/strong>, the Salin PDF launched a direct assault<\/strong> and successfully overran and torched the entire police station<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the attack:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eight police personnel were killed<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two surrendered their weapons<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remaining junta personnel fled to the nearby Tanyoung power plant<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weapons and ammunition seized include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five G3 rifles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One MA-13 rifle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family members of the police personnel were taken into custody<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One resistance fighter from Salin PDF sustained a hand injury<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, at 8:23 a.m.<\/strong>, a junta jet fighter conducted three bombing runs<\/strong> targeting the recently seized police station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A joint force led by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA)<\/strong> shelled a junta naval convoy<\/strong> traveling north along the Irrawaddy River<\/strong>, damaging:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One warship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One logistics vessel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack occurred on July 29<\/strong>, targeting the convoy en route from Shwegu to Bhamo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to military sources and circulating video footage:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A warship was hit directly by artillery<\/strong>, causing it to list heavily<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A supply vessel was also damaged<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The assault forced the convoy to retreat back toward Shwegu port<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Sagaing Township<\/strong>, a combined resistance force ambushed a junta column<\/strong> departing from Min Kun and Division 33<\/strong>, at a location between Singaing North village and Tat Village in Wetlet Township<\/strong>, according to the PSR Wetlet Resistance Group<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 28<\/strong>, the 150-man convoy<\/strong> was attacked by joint units from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shwebo District Battalions (Nos. 1, 2, 5, 15, 17, 18, 23, 26, 1701, 9706)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, on July 29<\/strong>, an estimated 70-man reinforcement column<\/strong> was dispatched from Shaema Kar base<\/strong>, but was also ambushed by the resistance near Ngaye Ye village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven junta soldiers were injured<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both columns were forced to retreat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One resistance fighter from Shaema Kar Tactical PDF<\/strong> was killed in action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resistance coalition warned that the junta may send further reinforcements<\/strong> into Wetlet Township, and urged local resistance forces to be prepared, reinforced, and ready for continued operations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 29<\/strong>, Aye Min Tun<\/strong>, a soldier from Battalion 431, contacted the Kawthaung PDF and surrendered peacefully without arms<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to sources, he had previously attempted to desert the junta multiple times<\/strong>, succeeding on the third attempt<\/strong>. He reportedly stated that many junta soldiers want to defect<\/strong>, and encouraged them to seek protection under the civilian side as soon as possible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, Maung Kyaw Kyaw (38 years old)<\/strong> from Battalion 403 (Win Wut base) defected to KNLA Division 4, Battalion 12, Company 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He reportedly fled due to abuse and coercion by officers and fellow soldiers<\/strong>, and connected with KNLA forces to safely surrender<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
