\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. Ambush on Military Convoy That Had Arrested Civilians from Hse Village, Oaktwin Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A military convoy<\/strong> from the junta that had arrested civilians from Hse Village<\/strong>, under Chaung Gaung Village Tract<\/strong>, Oaktwin Township<\/strong>, Thayarwaddy District<\/strong>, Bago Region<\/strong>, was ambushed by local resistance forces. According to Battalion 3802, Subdivision 5<\/strong> of Thayarwaddy District, 15 junta soldiers were killed<\/strong> in the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta convoy<\/strong>, estimated at about 70 troops<\/strong>, was ambushed at 3:27 PM<\/strong> on July 24<\/strong> on the Myochaung\u2013Seinkanlant road<\/strong>, near \u201c48 Pauk Phottet Gyi\u201d<\/strong> on the main Bago highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ambush lasted about 20 minutes<\/strong>, during which seven civilians managed to escape<\/strong> from junta custody. The junta side lost 15 soldiers<\/strong> and had 3 wounded<\/strong> before retreating toward Banbwaykone Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Further clashes are anticipated. Junta troops are reportedly engaging in human shield tactics<\/strong> and vehicle towing<\/strong> (commandeering civilian vehicles). The public has been warned not to travel<\/strong> on the highway or reside near areas where junta troops are active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Two PDA Fighters Killed While Resisting Junta Troop Movement in Nyaung-U Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two fighters from the People’s Democratic Army (PDA)<\/strong> were killed in action<\/strong> while resisting an advancing junta military column<\/strong> entering Nyaung-U Township<\/strong>, Mandalay Region<\/strong>, from Gantgaw Village<\/strong>, Nyaung-U District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At around 5 PM on July 28<\/strong>, intelligence revealed that two military trucks<\/strong> had broken off from a 15-truck junta convoy entering Gantgaw Village<\/strong>. While civilian evacuation was underway, two PDA fighters<\/strong>, known as Ye Baw Aung Gyi<\/strong> and Ye Baw Atay Lay<\/strong>, encountered enemy troops and engaged in a firefight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the skirmish, Ye Baw Atay Lay (a.k.a. Nay Toe Aung)<\/strong> was shot. Ye Baw Aung Gyi (a.k.a. Aung Pyae Sone)<\/strong> attempted a rescue but was also hit. Both fighters heroically died on the spot<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the loss of two comrades, the PDA also lost one MA-1 rifle and one BA-94 firearm<\/strong> during the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is reported that two junta soldiers were killed<\/strong>, and an officer-level commander was injured<\/strong>. The junta recovered their dead the following morning, July 29<\/strong>, under military escort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Heavy Weaponry Fired by Junta Forces Damages Two Power Lines of the Ohn Taw\u2013Shwebo High-Voltage Transmission Line<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Ohn Taw Township<\/strong>, Sagaing Region<\/strong>, heavy weapon fire by junta forces<\/strong> during a military incursion damaged two cables<\/strong> of the Ohn Taw\u2013Shwebo 230 kV high-voltage transmission line<\/strong>, according to the Ministry of Electricity and Energy under the NUG<\/strong>, in Shwebo District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred at 6:18 AM on July 9<\/strong>, where two aerial earth cables<\/strong> from the Twin Tower Double Circuit<\/strong> were struck and damaged by heavy artillery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The site of the damage lies between Sartaung Pugan Tu Switchyard<\/strong> and Thitchaukone (Shwe Moe Htein) Station<\/strong>, which are located in an area currently occupied by junta-aligned armed forces<\/strong> and experiencing active conflict<\/strong>, making repair operations very difficult<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local electricity authorities under junta control\u2014including U Aung Myat Soe<\/strong>, the head of the municipal electricity department, and officials from Shwebo District\u2014have reportedly been unable to resolve the blackout<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, NUG Ministry of Electricity and Energy personnel<\/strong> from Wetlet Township<\/strong> risked traveling to Pole No. 159<\/strong>, near the frontline, to inspect the damage and assess line clearance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ongoing power outage<\/strong> is due to the area being under junta control<\/strong>. The NUG has clarified that it is taking all possible measures within its capacity<\/strong>, and local public administration teams<\/strong> are actively cooperating with the community to address the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Four Civilians Killed in Junta Airstrikes on Monglon and Mogok<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a statement from the PSLF\/TNLA<\/strong>, four civilians were killed as a result of airstrikes carried out by junta forces<\/strong> using fighter jets in Monglon<\/strong> (Mong Lon), located in northern Shan State<\/strong>\u2014an area controlled by the PSLF\/TNLA<\/strong>\u2014and in Mogok<\/strong>, Mandalay Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 29<\/strong>, at 5:37 PM<\/strong>, the junta dropped a 250-pound bomb<\/strong> on the Khanni Ward<\/strong> of Monglon Town<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the explosion, one male civilian was killed<\/strong>, and seven houses<\/strong> were damaged or destroyed<\/strong> by the bomb blast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, in the eastern part of Mogok<\/strong>, particularly around Mindan Ward<\/strong>, Shwe Bon Thar Ward<\/strong>, and near the BOC Fuel Depot<\/strong>, the junta launched aerial bombings<\/strong> again on the morning of July 29<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In that airstrike, two men and one woman<\/strong> were killed<\/strong>, while 11 men and 7 women<\/strong> were injured<\/strong>. Additionally, 14 houses<\/strong> were reportedly damaged by the bomb blasts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 5. Junta Defector From Monywa-Based Logistics Battalion (929) Seeks Asylum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A member of the People’s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong> who had been forcibly conscripted<\/strong> at Logistics Battalion No. 929<\/strong>, located near the Military Operations Command (MOC) headquarters in Monywa<\/strong>, has defected<\/strong> and sought refuge<\/strong>, according to a statement by the Golden Target Force (GTF)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defector contacted the resistance to arrange a safe defection and was picked up on July 25<\/strong>. He attempted to bring along his MA-1 rifle<\/strong>, but due to safety and security concerns<\/strong>, he was unable to carry it with him<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defector was retrieved by personnel from the Golden Target Force (GTF)<\/strong> and the Public Security Team of District (1), Monywa Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This soldier had previously been arrested in Yangon\u2019s Thingangyun Township<\/strong> while selling fritters in the evening<\/strong>, and was later sent for a two-and-a-half-month military training course<\/strong> at the Taikkgyi-Gyo Phyu Training School<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also reported that at Battalion 929<\/strong>, the commanding officer was personally selling narcotic pills (Yaba)<\/strong> to soldiers for 10,000 kyats per tablet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
