According to U Nay Phone Latt, spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister, expert opinions are currently being gathered sector by sector to support the restructuring of the National Unity Government (NUG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He made this statement during the NUG\u2019s \u201cPress Briefing to the Public and the International Community\u201d held today, July 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are studying and reviewing ways to enable further reforms aimed at strengthening the performance and representativeness of the National Unity Government. In this process, we are actively collecting ideas and input from experts across different sectors. If there are any significant developments regarding the interim restructuring of the National Unity Government, we will share those transparently with the public,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that the NUG is grateful to those who have constructively critiqued and supported the government. The NUG leadership\u2014including the Acting President and the Prime Minister\u2014fully understands the need to reflect on itself and initiate necessary reforms in line with the evolving situation to build a government that aligns with federal democratic values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within just over three months, humanitarian partners, through a convoy led by the World Food Programme (WFP), managed to deliver a total of 120 metric tons<\/strong> of emergency aid supplies across major cities in Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From April to June, the humanitarian consortium led by WFP facilitated the transport of these emergency relief materials and coordinated with 45 partner organizations<\/strong>, according to an official press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The humanitarian delivery operations were conducted across Yangon, Mandalay, and Nay Pyi Taw<\/strong>, and to ensure easier access to aid, free-use storage facilities<\/strong> were also set up in Yangon, Mandalay, and Taunggyi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of now, only 12%<\/strong> of the required funding for Myanmar\u2019s 2025 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan<\/strong> has been received, and just 36.5%<\/strong> of the supplementary earthquake response appeal has been funded, according to UN OCHA Myanmar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A commemoration ceremony for the 37th anniversary of the 8888 Uprising<\/strong> along with a protest calling for the eradication of dictatorship<\/strong> will be held outside the SAC embassy in the UK<\/strong>, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The protest is scheduled for Friday, August 8<\/strong>, and will be organized by revolutionary groups in front of the military junta\u2019s embassy in London, England<\/strong>, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.<\/strong>, according to the Myanmar Unity Movement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe will stand in front of the military attach\u00e9\u2019s office to protest against dictatorship and amplify revolutionary spirit. Remembering and honoring Mother Suu who remains unjustly detained, we aim to demonstrate as much unity as possible to help bring about the liberation of Myanmar,\u201d the organizers stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
