The Golden Peacock Attack Force<\/strong> has announced that it carried out a landmine attack<\/strong> on a convoy of junta military vehicles departing from a base stationed at Baudhi Thitdaung Hill Tower<\/strong>, where the North Western Regional Command (NaMaKha) is headquartered in Monywa Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, the attack took place at 12:33 p.m. on July 27<\/strong>, at a section of road between Monywa and Baudhi Thitdaung, targeting a convoy of military vehicles that was en route to deliver rations and retrieve the body of a deputy officer<\/strong> who had previously died in a landmine blast. The convoy included a Jummer vehicle<\/strong> and two armored vehicles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The landmine was effectively detonated between multiple layers of junta outposts, hitting the last vehicle in the convoy<\/strong>, which then came to a halt. Following the blast, junta troops and base guards<\/strong> on the vehicle opened fire indiscriminately using light weapons and 40mm grenade launchers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack was a joint operation conducted by the Monywa Township People’s Defense Mines Unit<\/strong>, the Golden Peacock Attack Force<\/strong>, and the Area 71 Local People\u2019s Defence Force (LPDF)<\/strong>. The groups successfully retreated without casualties<\/strong>, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Pan Paung Village<\/strong>, located in Kyaukme Township<\/strong>, Region 2 of Ta\u2019ang National Territory<\/strong>, junta forces launched an unprovoked drone strike<\/strong>, dropping three bombs<\/strong> even though no active clashes were occurring<\/strong> at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The strike occurred on July 27<\/strong> at 11:30 a.m., 11:32 a.m., and 11:34 a.m.<\/strong>, according to a statement from the Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (TNLA)<\/strong>. The three drones each dropped one bomb, with all strikes reportedly targeting civilian areas intentionally<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, one civilian home was damaged<\/strong> in the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Tactics 33<\/strong>, a 16-year-old forcibly conscripted soldier<\/strong> from Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 282<\/strong> based in Yebyu Township<\/strong>, Tanintharyi Region<\/strong>, has defected and surrendered<\/strong> to resistance forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conscript, Maung Nan Ko Ko<\/strong>, was only 16 years and 5 months old<\/strong> when he was abducted and conscripted. Although he informed authorities that he was underage, officials at the Department of Immigration and National Registration<\/strong> allegedly falsified documents<\/strong> and proceeded to enroll him in military training<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He escaped unarmed from LIB-282 on July 25<\/strong>, and surrendered to Tactics 33<\/strong> on July 26<\/strong>, according to the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nan Ko Ko completed the junta\u2019s 8-week basic military training course<\/strong>. Though he did not bring any weapons during his escape, he was reportedly awarded 500,000 kyats as a recognition bonus<\/strong>. Tactics 33<\/strong> has released a video statement<\/strong> featuring the defector’s personal account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a press release from the Black Panther Column<\/strong>, new recruits from P-29905 under the Black Panther Column<\/strong>, part of the People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong> operating in the Special Military Region under Strategic Command No. 32<\/strong>, have successfully completed their Basic Military Training Course<\/strong>, and a graduation ceremony<\/strong> was held to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement emphasized that as military operations have intensified<\/strong>, the Black Panther Column<\/strong> has successfully launched attacks and captured numerous junta military bases<\/strong>, resulting in significant losses for the enemy<\/strong>. The success of the revolutionary forces<\/strong>, it said, has only been possible because of the support and participation of the people from all corners of the country<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement encouraged the public to continue the people\u2019s revolution<\/strong> through collective resistance, stressing that public participation is key to achieving widespread victory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also noted that recruitment of new fighters is ongoing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Special Operations Force (SOF)<\/strong>, officially designated as P-29999<\/strong> under the People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF)<\/strong> of the National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong>, celebrated its 4th anniversary<\/strong> with a military obstacle course competition<\/strong>, according to official sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SOF was founded on July 21, 2021<\/strong>, by the Southern Command of the PDF<\/strong>, and this year\u2019s anniversary events were held simultaneously at various base camps<\/strong> located in Kayin State, Mon State,<\/strong> and the Bago Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the commemoration, representatives from different battalions, military columns, and unit offices<\/strong> participated in the pipe-crossing obstacle course competition<\/strong>, symbolizing the strength and endurance of the force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured awards for first, second, third places<\/strong>, as well as special and consolation prizes<\/strong>. The commemoration concluded successfully and was deemed a meaningful celebration<\/strong> of the SOF\u2019s 4-year milestone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SOF has been active since its establishment on July 21, 2021<\/strong>, under the leadership of the PDF\u2019s Southern Command<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
