I started to write my book \u2018A Memory of My\u00a0Grandparents\u2019 in May of 2014. At that time, I estimated when I would finish\u00a0writing, and publish it as digital ebook.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>I would finish my book in December 2014, and publish as Kindle ebook in\u00a0January 2015, and fully publish as a book in March 2015. So, I could have\u00a0launched my book in May of 2015, to mark my grandparents\u2019 100 Anniversary. <\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
To appear as a Kindle ebook there was no\u00a0problem for me. No sooner I finished my book than my brother published it as Kindle ebook. I was sure that my ebook would be published in January 2015. But to\u00a0publish as a book in my country was beyond my knowledge. I would have to ask\u00a0someone to help me. I had no experience about it. I was just a writer. I typed\u00a0my writing, and did all layout design. But I did not know anything about
\npublishing work. Luckily my cousin who ran as a publisher came and helped me. In\u00a02015 by February, I gave him my typing copies including layout designs. He said\u00a0if my formats were surely ready in the printing condition, my book\u00a0 appear in\u00a02 weeks \u2013 fourteen days! He was sure that it would come out in the first week
\nof March if there were no problem between my format and the printing state. Oh!\u00a0I was happy indeed.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

So, I calculated all the possibilities that would\u00a0delay my book as bad weather, contrary winds, shipwrecks, railway accidents and so on<\/i><\/b>.\u00a0Here, my readers seemed puzzled. You think I seemed mad! No, no\u2026. I just
\nremembered the book called \u2018Around the world in eighty days \u2013 Jules Vernes.\u2019\u00a0Mr. Fogg whose had habits carried out with mathematical precision, accepted a\u00a0wager for 20,000 pounds from his fellow club members, which he will receive if\u00a0he makes it around the world in 80 days. Although he counted the unseen\u00a0accidental delay as a thousand obstacles, or meeting a thousand dangers, he had\u00a0almost failed by a brutal act of an awkward detective. Luckily he arrived\u00a0twenty-four hours ahead of time because of the earth traveling 360 degrees on
\nthe circumference of it eastward toward the sun. Finally, he gained! So, at\u00a0present, by my calculation, I believed my book appear before the\u00a0April of 2015. So one month ahead of time my estimation. <\/span><\/div>\n

After a week later, my cousin said there was a\u00a0problem in my format.The computer programmer said the size of my pages was too\u00a0large. It meant I wrongly computed the page size. They could not dare to\u00a0correct it, because my book included indexes. They requested me to repair them\u00a0all by myself. I took 2 or 3 days for the hard work. During February, I met other\u00a0unforeseen problems about the book made me busy, and gave me many sleepless
\nnights. But I believed I had enough time to do it. My cousin said if all were\u00a0ready in the first week of March, my book would be fully published in the third\u00a0week of March. They needed only 2 weeks. Ok! Take three weeks. My book would\u00a0surely appear at least in the last week of March.<\/span><\/div>\n

At that time in the first week of March, the\u00a0Irrawaddy magazine requested me that they were interested in my book and they\u00a0wanted to write a preview of it for their April Issue. I was sure that my book appear before the Thingyan Festival. I knew that my book was now in\u00a0the hand of printing work (although it\u00a0was not my field, I knew that my book would be come out soon\u2026\u00a0 <\/span>within 2 weeks<\/i>!), and book binding house,\u00a0or so on. In the second week of March, my cousin said because of the\u00a0electricity, my book would be a little bit late. But surely it would come\u00a0out in the last week of March as I estimated. He showed me some examples of colourful\u00a0pages of my book, and we all were happy and excited to see them.<\/span><\/div>\n

I\u2026.. I don\u2019t know is there any other problem\u00a0come again\u2026..?Electricity\u2026. Ok\u2026. No problem at all\u2026\u2026I \u2026. remember Mr. Foggs,\u00a0although he met a thousand obstacles or meeting a thousand dangers, finally he\u00a0gained it! Now,\u2026 I counted all the possibilities which could delay my book,\u00a0and\u2026. I thought it was enough. But\u2026. This big BUT\u2026.<\/span><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In the last week of March, I was told that my\u00a0cousin was in the hospital, because he had a very bad stomach ache. I heard\u00a0that he had to meet an operation, and needed a rest. We all were so worried\u00a0about him, and encouraged him, and said him not to worry about my book. (Here,\u00a0if I say frankly, I had a little worry about my book.) Some days later, good\u00a0news arrived. His father \u2013 my uncle phoned us that he was now in a better\u00a0state, and he did not need an operation. Also said that after more rest, and\u00a0taking medicines for a few days, he would be in good health. At that time, the\u00a0April issue of The Irrawaddy magazine comes out, and I saw the preview of my\u00a0book. I also saw that the author Nora quoted my promise as the book will be in local bookshops before the Thingyan holiday.<\/i><\/span><\/div>\n

I hope, I really hope to see my book too, Nora.\u00a0Now, I dare not push my cousin for my book come out in time\u2026. Or I have\u00a0not courage enough to ask him about my book\u2026\u2026 But I am waiting for my book\u00a0\u2026..as much as my readers would love to read\u2026.. if all the thing goes well, and\u00a0if the printing procedures or binding state go well, and fine,\u2026. I still hope\u00a0that my book will be in bookshop before the Thingyan holidays. If not, I only\u00a0want to apologize to my dear readers\u2026..and Nora\u2026.. But I promise if my book come\u00a0out in time before the Thingyan festival, I will let you know first\u2026\u2026.I\u00a0promise\u2026.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
