Ten Civilians Massacred in Pulaw Township by Junta\u2019s Airstrikes and Artillery Shelling<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 26<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of&nbsp;<strong>ten civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;were killed en masse in&nbsp;<strong>Pulaw Township<\/strong>, Tanintharyi Region, due to aerial bombings and heavy artillery shelling carried out by the&nbsp;<strong>military junta<\/strong>, according to a statement released today, July 26, by the Public Defense Force (PDF) Battalion 1 of Myeik District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident occurred at&nbsp;<strong>10:20 PM on July 25<\/strong>, when the junta forces deployed a&nbsp;<strong>drone to drop a bomb<\/strong>&nbsp;on a house in&nbsp;<strong>Zayat Seik Village<\/strong>, Pulaw Township, resulting in the death of&nbsp;<strong>one civilian<\/strong>&nbsp;and injuries to&nbsp;<strong>two others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While rescue efforts were underway for those wounded in the drone strike,&nbsp;<strong>junta forces stationed on Padat Set Daw Yar Hill<\/strong>&nbsp;launched&nbsp;<strong>artillery shells<\/strong>, one of which struck the same house, causing an explosion that&nbsp;<strong>killed nine more civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>injured three additional individuals<\/strong>, the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victims were&nbsp;<strong>innocent civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;who had sought temporary shelter in nearby villages after being unable to continue their travels due to fighting along the&nbsp;<strong>Union Highway<\/strong>, according to PDF Myeik District Battalion 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement further accused the junta of&nbsp;<strong>deliberately targeting civilians<\/strong>, stating that the military no longer distinguishes between armed resistance fighters and unarmed civilians, and is instead committing&nbsp;<strong>clear and systematic war crimes with impunity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In light of the potential for escalating clashes between junta forces and revolutionary troops in Pulaw Township, the revolutionary forces have urged:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Civilians in the region to dig and prepare bomb shelters systematically<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Those currently in active conflict zones to evacuate to safer areas as quickly as possible<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Myeik-Pulaw Road Section Closed Indefinitely Due to Junta Attacks by Land, Sea, and Air \u2014 Myeik District PDF Battalion 1 Issues Warning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 26<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because the&nbsp;<strong>military junta<\/strong>&nbsp;is conducting heavy assaults using&nbsp;<strong>ground, naval, and air forces<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Myeik-Pulaw section of Union Highway No. 8<\/strong>&nbsp;will be&nbsp;<strong>closed indefinitely<\/strong>, according to a public warning issued by&nbsp;<strong>Myeik District People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF) Battalion 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This announcement was made on&nbsp;<strong>July 25<\/strong>, in response to the escalating conflict situation in&nbsp;<strong>Pulaw Township<\/strong>, where clashes between&nbsp;<strong>junta forces<\/strong>&nbsp;and allied resistance troops \u2014 including Myeik PDF Battalion 1 \u2014 have been ongoing since&nbsp;<strong>July 23<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta has been employing&nbsp;<strong>artillery, naval firepower, and airstrikes<\/strong>, leading to an intensification of the conflict. As a result,&nbsp;<strong>residents living near junta military camps<\/strong>&nbsp;have been urged to&nbsp;<strong>immediately evacuate their homes and seek safer areas<\/strong>. For those unable to flee and sheltering in place,&nbsp;<strong>Myeik Battalion 1 strongly advises staying in fortified and concealed locations inside their homes<\/strong>&nbsp;for safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PDF added that soon after they announced the indefinite closure of the&nbsp;<strong>Myeik\u2013Pulaw highway section<\/strong>, junta forces launched&nbsp;<strong>airstrikes and artillery attacks<\/strong>, which resulted in the&nbsp;<strong>deaths of 10 civilian refugees<\/strong>&nbsp;and injuries to&nbsp;<strong>five others<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report also noted that on&nbsp;<strong>Martyrs&#8217; Day, July 19<\/strong>, at around&nbsp;<strong>10:30 AM<\/strong>, the junta conducted&nbsp;<strong>jet fighter bombings<\/strong>&nbsp;near&nbsp;<strong>Myaingma Village<\/strong>, part of the&nbsp;<strong>Zayat Seik village tract<\/strong>&nbsp;in Pulaw Township. Two Junta Soldiers Killed in Ambush by Resistance Forces While Foraging at Temporary Base in Kamma Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 26<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<strong>RED GIANT group<\/strong>, two junta soldiers were killed when resistance forces jointly attacked them while they were foraging for food near their&nbsp;<strong>temporary encampment<\/strong>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<strong>Ye Lai Monastery<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Kamma<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Pakokku Township<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Magway Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta troops, who had been temporarily stationed within the monastery compound and were running out of supplies, sent around&nbsp;<strong>30 soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;out to forage. At around&nbsp;<strong>4 PM on July 25<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>resistance forces intercepted and launched an ambush<\/strong>, the RED GIANT group said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was&nbsp;<strong>visually confirmed<\/strong>&nbsp;that two soldiers from the junta were killed in the attack.
