NUG Ministry of Education Announces Donations Received for \u201cSafe Schools, Safe Education\u201d Campaign as of July 25<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 25<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Education under the National Unity Government (NUG) has released a report listing donations received as of July 25 for the \u201cSafe Schools, Safe Education\u201d campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, donations received include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>USD 14,979.00 from OFP and Other International FRs,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MMK 12,987,076.06 from Spring Crowd Fund (SCF),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GBP 350.00 from GoFundMe (Brighter Future Foundation),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>USD 1,920.00 from GoFundMe (HDFM).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign targets a fundraising goal of&nbsp;<strong>USD 400,000<\/strong>&nbsp;and is scheduled to run from&nbsp;<strong>July 15 to August 31<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>2. Escalating Clashes Along Thailand-Cambodia Border: 15 Dead on Thai Side; Two Myanmar Migrant Workers Mistaken for Cambodians Assaulted in Bangkok<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 25<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fierce clashes continued for a second day along the Thailand\u2013Cambodia border, with the Thai government announcing that&nbsp;<strong>15 people on the Thai side have been killed<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>over 100,000 civilians displaced<\/strong>&nbsp;by the conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thailand has accused Cambodia of launching attacks targeting civilian areas within Thai territory. In response to the intensifying conflict,&nbsp;<strong>seven hospitals near the border have been forced to close<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>over 300,000 people from four border provinces have been relocated to nearly 300 temporary shelters<\/strong>, according to Thailand&#8217;s Ministry of Interior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the Cambodian side, the Cambodian authorities reported that&nbsp;<strong>one civilian was killed and five others injured<\/strong>&nbsp;due to Thai military shelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a related development, nationalist groups in Bangkok\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>Samut Prakan district<\/strong>&nbsp;have begun searching for and attacking Cambodian migrant workers. Some&nbsp;<strong>Myanmar migrant workers were mistakenly identified as Cambodians<\/strong>, resulting in physical assaults and interrogations. A video of such an incident has gone viral on social media. Fortunately, reports indicate that&nbsp;<strong>no serious injuries were sustained<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One Myanmar migrant worker posted on social media:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have to apply thanaka [traditional Burmese cosmetic paste] just so they know we\u2019re Burmese.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement underscores how the&nbsp;<strong>similar appearance between Myanmar and Cambodian people<\/strong>&nbsp;has led to misidentification and arbitrary targeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to the escalating crisis,&nbsp;<strong>ASEAN member states including Malaysia, Myanmar, China, and Singapore<\/strong>&nbsp;have urged Thailand and Cambodia to&nbsp;<strong>resolve the conflict through peaceful means<\/strong>. Over 100 Prison Department Staff Implicated in Abuse and Human Rights Violations Against Political Prisoners, Names Publicized<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 25<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On July 25, the&nbsp;<strong>PPNM (People\u2019s Patriotic Network Myanmar)<\/strong>&nbsp;released a list of&nbsp;<strong>more than 100 personnel from the Prison Department<\/strong>&nbsp;who are implicated in&nbsp;<strong>abuse, torture, and human rights violations<\/strong>&nbsp;against political prisoners held in detention centers across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PPNM urged revolutionary forces and relevant authorities to&nbsp;<strong>screen, verify, and detain individuals<\/strong>&nbsp;based on their national registration numbers during security operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The list reportedly includes individuals involved in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Human rights violations inside prisons,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extrajudicial killings,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Torture and inhumane treatment, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Illegal transfers of prisoners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>PPNM emphasized that&nbsp;<strong>those named will be held fully accountable<\/strong>&nbsp;under transitional justice mechanisms for each individual act committed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an initial step, revolutionary security forces are requested to&nbsp;<strong>use the names, positions, and national ID numbers provided<\/strong>&nbsp;to carry out&nbsp;<strong>targeted identification, arrest, and enforcement actions<\/strong>&nbsp;in the territories under their control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>4.
