Shweku KPDF Warns Civilians to Avoid Aggressive Movement Near Military Vessels Advancing Along the Ayeyarwady River<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 25<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shweku People&#8217;s Defense Force (KPDF) issued a warning today, July 25, urging civilians not to engage in hasty or aggressive movements near military vessels advancing northward along the Ayeyarwady River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement, titled&nbsp;<em>&#8220;A Public Safety Advisory to Our Fellow Citizens,&#8221;<\/em>&nbsp;calls on the public to&nbsp;<strong>avoid close proximity or rapid crossings near military ships<\/strong>&nbsp;navigating the river, especially when moving cargo or traveling in groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KPDF also warned people&nbsp;<strong>not to stay or move around near ports or areas where junta warships are anchored or docked<\/strong>, and advised the public to&nbsp;<strong>avoid military convoys and movements<\/strong>&nbsp;in general. The statement stressed the importance of maintaining personal safety and being highly vigilant in such areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to an update released this morning by&nbsp;<strong>Tigyaing Revolution \u2013 TR<\/strong>, a fleet of&nbsp;<strong>17 military vessels<\/strong>&nbsp;heading toward&nbsp;<strong>Bhamo in Kachin State<\/strong>&nbsp;resumed its journey upriver from&nbsp;<strong>Tigyaing<\/strong>&nbsp;around&nbsp;<strong>6 a.m. today<\/strong>, shelling areas along the riverbank with heavy artillery. By&nbsp;<strong>11 a.m.<\/strong>, the flotilla had reached&nbsp;<strong>Katha Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Four Junta Soldiers Killed, Weapons and Ammunition Seized in Chaung-U Township Ambush<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 25<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Brave Heart Army (BHA)<\/strong>&nbsp;has reported that four junta soldiers were killed and several weapons and ammunition were seized during a resistance attack in&nbsp;<strong>Chaung-U Township<\/strong>, Sagaing Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack occurred around&nbsp;<strong>5:30 a.m. on July 23<\/strong>, near the Irrigation Department office along the&nbsp;<strong>Monywa\u2013Mandalay Road<\/strong>, when junta soldiers traveling on&nbsp;<strong>two motorbikes<\/strong>\u2014presumably on patrol or a hidden deployment mission\u2014were ambushed by resistance fighters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the BHA\u2019s statement, the following items were seized:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>4 firearms<\/strong>: 1 MA-3 rifle and 3 MA-11 rifles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3 hand grenades<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2 mobile phones<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>400 rounds<\/strong>\u00a0of 5.56mm ammunition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2 motorcycles<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>bodies of all 4 junta soldiers<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack was carried out jointly by members of the&nbsp;<strong>Brave Heart Army (BHA)<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF) Battalion No. 1 of Chaung-U Township<\/strong>. Military Battalion 28 and Battalion 31 in Yinmarbin District Merged into a Single Unit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 25<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been reported that&nbsp;<strong>Battalion 28 of Yinmarbin District<\/strong>&nbsp;has now been merged with&nbsp;<strong>Battalion 31 of the same district<\/strong>, consolidating the two into&nbsp;<strong>a single military battalion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This consolidation was confirmed by&nbsp;<strong>Captain Swaing<\/strong>&nbsp;of the&nbsp;<strong>Dhamasine Unit under Battalion 28<\/strong>, Yinmarbin District, in an official announcement on July 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYinmarbin District Battalion 28 and Battalion 31 have been merged into one unified battalion. Justice For Myanmar Urges Sanctions on China\u2019s State-Owned NORINCO for Involvement in Myanmar Junta\u2019s International Crimes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 25<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Justice For Myanmar (JFM)<\/strong>&nbsp;has called on&nbsp;<strong>international governments<\/strong>&nbsp;to impose&nbsp;<strong>sanctions and restrictions<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>China\u2019s state-owned company NORINCO (China North Industries Corporation)<\/strong>, accusing it of&nbsp;<strong>complicity in international crimes<\/strong>&nbsp;committed by Myanmar\u2019s military junta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JFM stated that recent weapons and ammunition seized by the&nbsp;<strong>Mandalay People\u2019s Defense Force (MDY-PDF)<\/strong>&nbsp;provide concrete evidence that&nbsp;<strong>NORINCO continues to supply arms to the junta<\/strong>, playing a&nbsp;<strong>deliberate supporting role<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the confiscated items were&nbsp;<strong>GBP128 mine-clearing line charge systems<\/strong>&nbsp;produced by NORINCO. These are used to&nbsp;<strong>clear paths through minefields<\/strong>, particularly during combat, and were reportedly sold to the junta under a&nbsp;<strong>2017 contract<\/strong>&nbsp;between NORINCO and the&nbsp;<strong>Office of the Chief of Defense Procurement<\/strong>, which oversees Myanmar\u2019s military arms production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JFM emphasized that NORINCO has been a&nbsp;<strong>primary supplier of weapons and military technology<\/strong>&nbsp;to the junta, especially since the&nbsp;<strong>2017 agreement<\/strong>&nbsp;to deepen cooperation in arms trade and related technology transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, NORINCO itself has confirmed that it maintains a&nbsp;<strong>long-term partnership<\/strong>&nbsp;with Myanmar and has&nbsp;<strong>continued supplying defense products and services<\/strong>&nbsp;while seeking to&nbsp;<strong>expand areas of collaboration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a&nbsp;<strong>May 2023 report by the UN Special Rapporteur on Myanmar<\/strong>, a NORINCO subsidiary \u2014&nbsp;<strong>China Wanbao Engineering Corporation<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 sold military products valued between&nbsp;<strong>USD 5 million and USD 10 million<\/strong>&nbsp;directly to the junta&nbsp;<strong>between February 2021 and December 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;<strong>leaked confidential document<\/strong>&nbsp;from 2022 revealed that NORINCO had supplied the junta with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;<strong>shipborne artillery system<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;<strong>ground-based surface-to-air missile system<\/strong>&nbsp;and related missiles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;<strong>military-grade command-and-control system<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;<strong>target-tracking radar system<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Two twin-barrel naval launchers<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>missile control units<\/strong>&nbsp;for a&nbsp;<strong>naval warship project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between&nbsp;<strong>2020 and 2022<\/strong>, NORINCO also sold&nbsp;<strong>machinery parts for weapons manufacturing<\/strong>&nbsp;to the&nbsp;<strong>Office of the Chief of Defense Procurement<\/strong>&nbsp;through various exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, in&nbsp;<strong>2018 and 2019<\/strong>, NORINCO technicians reportedly operated in&nbsp;<strong>Factory No. 20 in Magway Region<\/strong>, providing&nbsp;<strong>technical assistance for the production of automatic artillery<\/strong>, associated&nbsp;<strong>ammunition<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>anti-aircraft guns<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Photographs from 2018 showed that NORINCO had sold a&nbsp;<strong>MBT-2000 tank driving simulator<\/strong>, which is currently being used to&nbsp;<strong>train soldiers<\/strong>&nbsp;at the&nbsp;<strong>Steel Corps Training School in Kyaukse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NORINCO is&nbsp;<strong>fully owned by the Chinese State Council<\/strong>, and the Council holds&nbsp;<strong>significant influence<\/strong>&nbsp;over the company&#8217;s strategic decisions and export partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Given NORINCO&#8217;s direct role in supplying arms, components, training, and surveillance technologies to the Myanmar military,&nbsp;<strong>Justice For Myanmar<\/strong>&nbsp;has&nbsp;<strong>called on the Chinese government to immediately halt all such transfers and cooperation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This report was provided by&nbsp;<strong>Radio NUG correspondents Ko Khant and Thar Gyi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/radionuglocalnews?__eep__=6&amp;__cft__%5B0%5D=AZXC56b4SnmibXNwJBzHCpq8y1U-u7KouqRmNFf3MwS8oVmKbXS8ptYTzgSzE_60aneWA9F1VTnvs1bt3_AgLqvWMTVR5EcgzAyUyNvpoVOL9yBRLNejdwWvKtoY8ZjvpRds2ENm6SLWO6Tt6Q2egk3R&amp;__tn__=*NK-R\">#RadioNUGLocalNews<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>#SpringRevolution<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Myanmar Military News Updates \u2013 Jul 25, 2025 Evening \ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;1.
