July 20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PSLF\/TNLA\u2019s Information and Public Relations Department reported today, July 20, that Myanmar\u2019s military conducted another aerial bombing on Hsipaw Town, located in northern Shan State and under the control of the PSLF\/TNLA (Palaung State Liberation Front \/ Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army), resulting in damage to school buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, the attack occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. on July 19<\/strong> (Martyrs\u2019 Day), when a military jet dropped three 250-pound bombs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bombs exploded in Zatsu Ward<\/strong> and Shwe Kyaung Ward<\/strong>, causing damage to school buildings located within Basic Education Primary School No. 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local news agencies reported that before bombing Zatsu Ward and Shwe Kyaung Ward, the military had first dropped bombs on a staff housing unit within Hsipaw Prison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No civilian casualties were reported in this attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, previous airstrikes by the military junta on Hsipaw\u2014one on July 4<\/strong> and another on July 14<\/strong>\u2014were deliberately aimed at civilian areas, resulting in two civilian deaths<\/strong>, five injuries<\/strong>, and the destruction of 13 homes<\/strong> and 6 buildings<\/strong>, according to PSLF\/TNLA records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the ongoing, deliberate attacks on civilians by the junta, the TNLA urges the public to remain vigilant, follow airstrike defense protocols, and take all necessary precautions to avoid harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Shwekyin Guerrilla Force<\/strong>, three junta soldiers were killed and two rifles seized during an attack on soldiers who were extorting money from travelers in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 17<\/strong>, the revolutionary forces attacked three junta soldiers stationed between Kokkae Police Station<\/strong> and Kokkae High School Branch<\/strong>, who had been deployed there to collect tolls from the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The operation resulted in all three soldiers being killed, and their weapons and ammunition were confiscated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Salingyi Special Task Force (SSTF), Battalion 14\/15<\/strong> of Yinmarbin District, reported today that two military vessels were damaged and two junta soldiers were killed during a coordinated attack on a junta naval convoy advancing northward along the Chindwin River<\/strong> from Ahlone Jetty<\/strong> in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 14<\/strong> at around 5:00 a.m.<\/strong>, approximately 30 boats<\/strong>, including 4 warships<\/strong> and supply barges<\/strong>, began moving upriver. The junta had conducted aerial clearance operations beforehand, deploying:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two Y-12 aircraft<\/strong> from Tada-U<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two paramotors<\/strong> from Namkham<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drones from Kani<\/strong> Township, which dropped bombs on presumed resistance positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The convoy camped near Tharyarpin Village<\/strong> in Kani Township on the night of July 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 15<\/strong> around 5:00 a.m.<\/strong>, as the naval convoy resumed its journey upriver, joint revolutionary forces\u2014PDF KLG (Strategy-45)<\/strong>, SSTF Battalion 14\/15<\/strong>, and allied groups\u2014launched an assault with heavy weaponry near a location along the Chindwin River.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, a supply vessel named “Shwe Taw Win”<\/strong> was hit by heavy artillery, resulting in the deaths of two junta soldiers. Another vessel was also damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite this, the remaining military boats managed to continue upriver under the air cover provided by an MI-35P attack helicopter<\/strong> from Namkham<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A soldier serving at Infantry Battalion 280 based in Palauk Township, Tanintharyi Region, has defected to the People’s Defense Force (PDF) in Palaw along with his weapon and ammunition, according to a statement released today, July 20, by the Palaw Township People’s Defense Team – PDF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The soldier reportedly surrendered to the township’s PDF combat unit on July 12<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Identified as a 27-year-old named Nyein Chan<\/strong>, he is originally from Shwe Taung Township<\/strong>, Pyay District in Bago Region<\/strong>, and was a graduate of Military Training Batch 8<\/strong> for new conscripts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He defected with the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One MA-1 rifle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One magazine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One hand grenade<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three newly enlisted soldiers who had deserted from Operations Command Headquarters 19 (OC 19)<\/strong>, based in Ye Township, Mon State<\/strong>, have been captured, according to a statement by the Ye-Bilu Military Battalion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three soldiers, who had been serving at OC 19 in Ye Township, reportedly deserted the army and were captured on July 18<\/strong>, the statement says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The captured soldiers have been identified as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maung Wai Yan Aung<\/strong> and Pyae Phone San<\/strong>, both from East Sike Kyee Village, Kalay Township<\/strong>, graduates of Military Training Batch 7<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aung Soe Min<\/strong>, from Thaya Aye Ward, Mawlamyine<\/strong>, a graduate of Military Training Batch 6<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
