\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. Over 80 Junta Troops Killed in Battles at Sapae Gyi Creek and Kha Chin Hill in Minhla Township; One Resistance Fighter Killed During Tactical Retreat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 13 at 1:40 PM<\/strong>, a tactical strike was launched by Tharyarwaddy District Battalion 3802, Unit 5<\/strong>, targeting junta forces stationed at Sapae Gyi Creek<\/strong>, located within the administrative boundary of Minhla Township<\/strong>, Bago Region. The clash lasted for around two hours<\/strong>, during which 30 junta soldiers were reportedly killed<\/strong>, and many others were wounded<\/strong>, according to an official report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to their losses, the junta launched a counteroffensive<\/strong> on July 14 at around 7:30 AM<\/strong>, deploying approximately 400 troops<\/strong> to assault Kha Chin Hill<\/strong> via multiple strategic positions: U Tin Lone Taung<\/strong>, 48 Bawk<\/strong>, and Kha Chin Hill<\/strong> itself. The confrontation escalated into three separate battles<\/strong> lasting until 4 PM<\/strong> that evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta also conducted relentless artillery shelling<\/strong> and dropped bombs using three drones<\/strong>, forcing the resistance fighters to tactically withdraw from the Kha Chin Hill base<\/strong>, according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, more than 50 junta soldiers<\/strong> were killed and many injured in the battles on that day. On the resistance side, comrade Zar Mani<\/strong> was killed by a drone strike<\/strong>, while seven others were injured<\/strong>. Material losses included two motorcycles<\/strong>, a rain cover<\/strong>, solar panels<\/strong>, bags of rice<\/strong>, and various household utensils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The public has been urged to avoid traveling within the conflict area of the Yoma region<\/strong> and to provide support for ongoing military operations<\/strong>, as further clashes with junta troops are anticipated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Seven Resistance Fighters from Southern Eagle PDF Killed During the Spring Revolution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been reported that seven resistance fighters from Battalion P29909, Southern Eagle PDF<\/strong>, have died so far during the ongoing Spring Revolution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 19, 1947, at 10:37 AM<\/strong>, General Aung San and other key Martyrs were assassinated. In remembrance, Southern Eagle PDF issued a statement<\/strong> paying respects to General Aung San and his fellow fallen Martyrs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group also expressed reverence for the modern-day Martyrs<\/strong> who have bravely given their lives<\/strong> in the struggle to bring down the military dictatorship<\/strong> as part of the current revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of today, seven resistance fighters from Southern Eagle PDF<\/strong> have been confirmed killed in action since the beginning of the Spring Revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Junta Bombs Theintawgon Monastery in Aung Thar Village, Nawnghkio Township; One Monk Injured<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Nawnghkio Journal<\/strong>, the junta launched an airstrike<\/strong> on Theintawgon Monastery<\/strong>, located to the west of Aung Thar Village<\/strong>, Nawnghkio Township, Mandalay Region. The attack resulted in one monk sustaining injuries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred on July 18 at around 10:30 PM<\/strong>, when a fighter jet dropped two bombs<\/strong> on the monastery compound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aerial attack caused injuries to a monk who was already in poor health<\/strong>, and significant damage to religious structures<\/strong> including pagodas<\/strong>, monastery buildings<\/strong>, and gates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, on the morning of July 19 at around 7:00 AM<\/strong>, the junta carried out airstrikes using a Y-12 aircraft<\/strong> over multiple villages located near the border of Lay Myat Hnar Township and Ngapudaw Township<\/strong> in Ayeyarwady Region, specifically targeting Pan Taw Gyi<\/strong>, Let Tan Gyi<\/strong>, Htauk Kyan Kwin<\/strong>, Saw Pyar<\/strong>, and Kyar Kite villages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time, there is no confirmed information yet regarding civilian casualties or damage<\/strong> resulting from those airstrikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An 88-year-old woman<\/strong> was killed in a drone bombing attack<\/strong> carried out by junta forces on Naung Village<\/strong>, located in Ngape Township<\/strong>, Magway Region<\/strong>, according to a statement from the Chin Defense Force \u2013 Asho (CDF-Asho)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident occurred on July 18 at around 11:30 AM<\/strong>, when the junta’s military unit based at the Natyekan Air Defense Camp (Strategic Hill)<\/strong> launched a drone strike targeting Naung Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the bombing, the elderly woman died<\/strong>, and a 20-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CDF (Asho) expressed deep condolences<\/strong> to the victim’s family and relatives and strongly condemned the daily war crimes and crimes against humanity<\/strong> perpetrated by the junta across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four junta soldiers who were forcibly conscripted under the military’s “People\u2019s Military Service Law”<\/strong> have defected<\/strong> to Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Battalion 9<\/strong>, operating in Ler Doh Township<\/strong>, Kler Lwee Htoo District<\/strong>, under the Karen National Union (KNU)<\/strong>, according to an official statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 8<\/strong>, two soldiers from Military Training Batch 8<\/strong>, and two from Batch 5<\/strong>, originally affiliated with Battalion 20 (Nyaung Lay Pin)<\/strong> and Battalion 581 (Kawkareik)<\/strong>, defected while bringing their weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defectors have been identified as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KNLA Battalion 9 welcomed the defectors and awarded each of them a reward of 1 million Kyat<\/strong>. The KNLA further encouraged others who have been forcibly recruited<\/strong> not to serve under the junta but to defect to nearby resistance groups<\/strong> instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 78th Martyrs\u2019 Day<\/strong> was commemorated on July 19, 2025<\/strong>, by the People\u2019s Defense Force (Mandalay)<\/strong> in a liberated area<\/strong>, according to an official release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by members of the Mandalay PDF<\/strong>, local resistance allies<\/strong>, and civilians<\/strong>, who paid solemn tribute to the fallen Martyrs<\/strong>, including General Aung San and other leaders who gave their lives for the nation’s freedom, as well as all those who sacrificed their lives<\/strong> in the ongoing democratic struggle<\/strong> across generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, in Thabeikkyin Township<\/strong>, under Pyin Oo Lwin District<\/strong>, the local People’s Defense Group<\/strong> also held a commemorative event. Despite ongoing junta airstrikes<\/strong>, participants conducted a respectful march and ceremony<\/strong> to honor the Martyrs, as reported in their statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In observance of the 78th Martyrs\u2019 Day<\/strong>, the Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT)<\/strong> resistance force held a memorial event<\/strong> at its Rear Headquarters<\/strong>, involving commanders and soldiers<\/strong>, according to an official statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, held on July 19<\/strong>, featured a tribute to General Aung San and the other eight Martyrs<\/strong>, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flying the MBT flag at half-mast<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A moment of mourning and remembrance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Battalion 2 and Battalion 9703 of the People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF), Myeik District<\/strong>, jointly held a Martyrs\u2019 Day commemorative ceremony<\/strong> at one of their forward bases<\/strong>, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 19<\/strong>, the day of remembrance, male and female resistance fighters<\/strong> from Battalion 2 paid solemn tribute<\/strong> to the Martyrs of 1947<\/strong>, as well as to the revolutionary heroes who have died<\/strong> in the ongoing Spring Revolution<\/strong>, pledging to honor their memory<\/strong> with deep respect and unwavering resolve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, Battalion 9703 also organized its own ceremony at the frontline base<\/strong>, with the battalion commander leading a moment of tribute<\/strong> to Martyrs across generations who have sacrificed their lives in the struggle for democracy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
