Over 300 Clashes in 6 Months in KNLA-Khalel Lwee Htoo District, More than 200 Junta Forces Killed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 15<\/strong><br>The Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA), in its Khalel Lwee Htoo District under Command Region 3, reported that from&nbsp;<strong>January 1 to June 30, 2025<\/strong>, a total of&nbsp;<strong>300 clashes<\/strong>, both major and minor, occurred within its administrative territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the July 15 statement,&nbsp;<strong>44 resistance fighters<\/strong>&nbsp;from the KNLA side sacrificed their lives for their people and nation, and&nbsp;<strong>127 others<\/strong>&nbsp;were seriously injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the junta side,&nbsp;<strong>242 troops were killed<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>189 were wounded<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>7 surrendered<\/strong>. In addition, the KNLA captured&nbsp;<strong>25 junta personnel alive<\/strong>&nbsp;and seized a total of&nbsp;<strong>209 assorted weapons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report also documented human rights violations by the junta during the same six-month period, which resulted in the deaths of&nbsp;<strong>49 civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;<strong>29 women<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>20 men<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 as well as serious injuries to&nbsp;<strong>181 civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014&nbsp;<strong>93 men<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>88 women<\/strong>. Furthermore,&nbsp;<strong>14 male<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>3 female<\/strong>&nbsp;civilians were arrested and detained by junta forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. TNLA Reports 11 Junta Airstrikes and 9 Civilian Deaths Between June 29 and July 14<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 15<\/strong><br>The Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) reported that the junta carried out a total of&nbsp;<strong>11 airstrikes<\/strong>&nbsp;between&nbsp;<strong>June 29 and the morning of July 14<\/strong>, killing&nbsp;<strong>9 civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the TNLA, the military council conducted&nbsp;<strong>6 airstrikes<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Kyaukme<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>1 strike<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Thonese Village, Nawnghkio Township<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>2 strikes<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Mogok<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>2 strikes<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Hsipaw<\/strong>, totaling&nbsp;<strong>11 attacks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These aerial bombings resulted in the deaths of&nbsp;<strong>9 civilians<\/strong>, including children. Additionally,&nbsp;<strong>4 children<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>43 civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;were injured, while&nbsp;<strong>63 houses<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>1 school<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>4 Buddhist monasteries<\/strong>&nbsp;were damaged or destroyed by the blasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PSLF\/TNLA warned the public to remain vigilant, emphasizing the need for consistent awareness of military threats and adherence to airstrike protection measures to minimize casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. Three Junta Soldiers from Monywa-Based Infantry Surrender and Join Local Resistance Forces<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 15<\/strong><br>Three junta soldiers from the&nbsp;<strong>Monywa-based infantry unit<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Sagaing Region<\/strong>&nbsp;defected and surrendered to the&nbsp;<strong>Monywa Township People\u2019s Defence Team<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Pa Ka Pha Combat Unit from Zone 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The defection occurred on&nbsp;<strong>July 13<\/strong>, and was confirmed by the local Pa Ka Pha, which reported that the three soldiers surrendered without weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are currently being held in good conditions, and since they are not implicated in any war crimes, the resistance groups are working to assist them according to their wishes and to reintegrate them appropriately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. AAPP: Total Death Toll from Spring Revolution Reaches 6,962 Due to the Violent Military Junta and Its Affiliates<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 15<\/strong><br>According to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), the total number of&nbsp;<strong>pro-democracy activists and civilians killed<\/strong>&nbsp;since the start of the Spring Revolution has reached&nbsp;<strong>6,962<\/strong>, due to the violent military junta and its affiliate groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This number reflects fatalities occurring between&nbsp;<strong>February 1, 2021<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2014 the day the junta unlawfully seized power \u2014 and&nbsp;<strong>July 14, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the AAPP reported that a total of&nbsp;<strong>29,380 individuals<\/strong>&nbsp;have been arrested in connection with the coup. Of those,&nbsp;<strong>22,179<\/strong>&nbsp;remain in detention, with&nbsp;<strong>10,881<\/strong>&nbsp;having been sentenced to prison terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AAPP emphasized that these figures are based on the verifiable cases it was able to document.
