The aircraft had taken off from Na Ma Kha and crashed near Kha Wae Kyin Monastery. Both pilots were taken to the hospital, but succumbed to&nbsp;<strong>head trauma, rib fractures, and spinal injuries<\/strong>&nbsp;around&nbsp;<strong>4:00 p.m.<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>7. Intense Fighting in Thapyay Kyin as Junta Forces Regain Control of 5-Mile Village<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fierce battles are ongoing in&nbsp;<strong>Thapyay Kyin Township<\/strong>, which was previously under the control of resistance forces, and the military junta has&nbsp;<strong>regained control of 5-Mile Village<\/strong>, according to&nbsp;<strong>People\u2019s Spring<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fighting erupted starting in early June when junta troops advanced from the&nbsp;<strong>Electric Engineering Battalion based in 7-Mile Village<\/strong>&nbsp;and from&nbsp;<strong>Tatmadaw Officer Training School No. 13 (TATC-13)<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Twin Nge Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After reinforcing remaining battalions with air support, the junta launched a renewed offensive, employing&nbsp;<strong>Y-12 and MI-35 aircraft<\/strong>&nbsp;along with drones. As a result, the junta successfully recaptured&nbsp;<strong>5-Mile Village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of now,&nbsp;<strong>4-Mile and 6-Mile Villages<\/strong>&nbsp;remain under the control of revolutionary forces. During the fighting, a&nbsp;<strong>senior colonel<\/strong>&nbsp;and a&nbsp;<strong>lieutenant colonel<\/strong>&nbsp;from the junta side were reportedly killed, with additional casualties among lower-ranking personnel. Resistance fighters also suffered casualties and injuries during the clashes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>resistance offensive on Thapyay Kyin<\/strong>&nbsp;lasted for nine days and culminated on&nbsp;<strong>August 25, 2024<\/strong>, when they fully seized control of the town. During that operation, the resistance captured numerous junta troops, including&nbsp;<strong>Deputy Lieutenant Colonel Soe Min Thu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the town itself was seized, the&nbsp;<strong>entire township was not yet fully cleared<\/strong>&nbsp;of junta forces. Some fleeing soldiers regrouped at&nbsp;<strong>Tatmadaw Officer Training School No. 13 in Twin Nge Village<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>Electric Engineering Battalion in 7-Mile Village<\/strong>, where they fortified their positions in preparation for counterattacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>8.
