Public General Hospital Opened Under Administration of the Brotherhood Alliance in Mile 105, Mong Yaw<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Mile 105 of Mong Yaw<\/strong>, Muse Township, Shan State, a new&nbsp;<strong>public general hospital<\/strong>&nbsp;was officially opened on&nbsp;<strong>July 8<\/strong>, under the administration of the&nbsp;<strong>Three Brotherhood Alliance<\/strong>, according to local reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hospital was developed under the leadership of the&nbsp;<strong>United League of Arakan\/Arakan Army (ULA\/AA)<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNTJP\/MNDAA)<\/strong>, and the&nbsp;<strong>Palaung State Liberation Front\/Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (PSLF\/TNLA)<\/strong>\u2014collectively known as the Brotherhood Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Construction began in&nbsp;<strong>mid-May<\/strong>&nbsp;and was completed and opened nearly&nbsp;<strong>three months later<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, residents of the Mile 105 area had to rely solely on&nbsp;<strong>rural healthcare clinics<\/strong>, and when more extensive treatment was needed, they had to travel to&nbsp;<strong>Muse or Namkham hospitals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The newly opened hospital currently has&nbsp;<strong>62 beds<\/strong>&nbsp;and offers 24-hour services including&nbsp;<strong>blood testing<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>X-ray<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>ultrasound<\/strong>, and other general treatments. Further medical services are planned to be added as necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening ceremony was attended by&nbsp;<strong>administrative committee members<\/strong>&nbsp;from the Brotherhood Alliance,&nbsp;<strong>monks<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>community elders<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>cultural organizations<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>local residents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Mile 105 area<\/strong>&nbsp;was captured and brought under control by the Brotherhood Alliance on&nbsp;<strong>December 14, 2023<\/strong>, and the launch of this hospital is seen by locals as a significant step in addressing the region\u2019s healthcare needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>3. Military Junta Sentences Ko Paing Phyo Min (a.k.a. Dee Ray) and Ko Shine Wai Aung to 20 Years in Prison Each<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a statement released by the Former University Students&#8217; Network, the terrorist military junta has sentenced&nbsp;<strong>Ko Paing Phyo Min<\/strong>&nbsp;(a.k.a.&nbsp;<strong>Dee Ray<\/strong>), a member of the network of former All Burma Federation of Student Unions (ABFSU) members, and&nbsp;<strong>Ko Shine Wai Aung<\/strong>, a former executive member of the&nbsp;<strong>Dagon University Students&#8217; Union<\/strong>, to&nbsp;<strong>20 years\u2019 imprisonment each<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two individuals were arrested by the junta on&nbsp;<strong>October 9, 2024<\/strong>, under the pretext of a guest list inspection. On&nbsp;<strong>February 19, 2025<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Insein Prison Court (Branch-M)<\/strong>&nbsp;sentenced each of them to&nbsp;<strong>3 years in prison<\/strong>&nbsp;under&nbsp;<strong>Section 505(a)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Subsequently, on&nbsp;<strong>June 26, 2025<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Botataung District Court (Branch-M)<\/strong>&nbsp;imposed additional sentences:&nbsp;<strong>7 years under Section 52(a)<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>10 years under Section 50(j)<\/strong>. Defend Myanmar Democracy Urges Meta to Immediately Take Action Against Military-Controlled Facebook Pages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Defend Myanmar Democracy has sent a formal letter to&nbsp;<strong>Joel Kaplan<\/strong>, Meta\u2019s Global Policy Chair, urging immediate action against&nbsp;<strong>Facebook pages controlled by the military junta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement points out that although Meta, Facebook&#8217;s parent company, pledged in&nbsp;<strong>2021<\/strong>&nbsp;to block the military junta from using its platforms, junta-controlled Facebook pages continue to operate. These pages are&nbsp;<strong>spreading propaganda<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>legitimizing military actions<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>providing support to the terrorist junta regime<\/strong>, the group said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The letter emphasized that the time has come for Meta to&nbsp;<strong>enforce its own community standards<\/strong>&nbsp;and put an end to the&nbsp;<strong>junta&#8217;s propaganda operations<\/strong>&nbsp;on its platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc&nbsp;<strong>5.
