\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 1. 532 Human Rights Violations Committed by the Terrorist Military Junta in June 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a press release from the Ministry of Human Rights under the National Unity Government (NUG), a total of 532 human rights violations<\/strong> were committed by the terrorist military junta in June 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mandalay Region<\/strong> recorded the highest number of violations, with 116 cases<\/strong>, and also suffered the highest number of aerial attacks<\/strong>, enduring 55 separate airstrikes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of these airstrikes during June, 15 Buddhist religious buildings<\/strong>, 6 Christian religious buildings<\/strong>, and 3 healthcare facilities<\/strong> within Mandalay Region were destroyed or damaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attacks caused 90 fatalities<\/strong> and 296 injuries<\/strong>, while massacre incidents<\/strong> led to an additional 55 deaths<\/strong>, according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 2. Public General Hospital Opened Under Administration of the Brotherhood Alliance in Mile 105, Mong Yaw<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Mile 105 of Mong Yaw<\/strong>, Muse Township, Shan State, a new public general hospital<\/strong> was officially opened on July 8<\/strong>, under the administration of the Three Brotherhood Alliance<\/strong>, according to local reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hospital was developed under the leadership of the United League of Arakan\/Arakan Army (ULA\/AA)<\/strong>, the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNTJP\/MNDAA)<\/strong>, and the Palaung State Liberation Front\/Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (PSLF\/TNLA)<\/strong>\u2014collectively known as the Brotherhood Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Construction began in mid-May<\/strong> and was completed and opened nearly three months later<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, residents of the Mile 105 area had to rely solely on rural healthcare clinics<\/strong>, and when more extensive treatment was needed, they had to travel to Muse or Namkham hospitals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly opened hospital currently has 62 beds<\/strong> and offers 24-hour services including blood testing<\/strong>, X-ray<\/strong>, ultrasound<\/strong>, and other general treatments. Further medical services are planned to be added as necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening ceremony was attended by administrative committee members<\/strong> from the Brotherhood Alliance, monks<\/strong>, community elders<\/strong>, cultural organizations<\/strong>, and local residents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mile 105 area<\/strong> was captured and brought under control by the Brotherhood Alliance on December 14, 2023<\/strong>, and the launch of this hospital is seen by locals as a significant step in addressing the region\u2019s healthcare needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 3. Military Junta Sentences Ko Paing Phyo Min (a.k.a. Dee Ray) and Ko Shine Wai Aung to 20 Years in Prison Each<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a statement released by the Former University Students’ Network, the terrorist military junta has sentenced Ko Paing Phyo Min<\/strong> (a.k.a. Dee Ray<\/strong>), a member of the network of former All Burma Federation of Student Unions (ABFSU) members, and Ko Shine Wai Aung<\/strong>, a former executive member of the Dagon University Students’ Union<\/strong>, to 20 years\u2019 imprisonment each<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two individuals were arrested by the junta on October 9, 2024<\/strong>, under the pretext of a guest list inspection. On February 19, 2025<\/strong>, the Insein Prison Court (Branch-M)<\/strong> sentenced each of them to 3 years in prison<\/strong> under Section 505(a)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, on June 26, 2025<\/strong>, the Botataung District Court (Branch-M)<\/strong> imposed additional sentences: 7 years under Section 52(a)<\/strong> and 10 years under Section 50(j)<\/strong>. In total, each was handed a 20-year prison sentence<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 4. Defend Myanmar Democracy Urges Meta to Immediately Take Action Against Military-Controlled Facebook Pages<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Defend Myanmar Democracy has sent a formal letter to Joel Kaplan<\/strong>, Meta\u2019s Global Policy Chair, urging immediate action against Facebook pages controlled by the military junta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement points out that although Meta, Facebook’s parent company, pledged in 2021<\/strong> to block the military junta from using its platforms, junta-controlled Facebook pages continue to operate. These pages are spreading propaganda<\/strong>, legitimizing military actions<\/strong>, and providing support to the terrorist junta regime<\/strong>, the group said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The letter emphasized that the time has come for Meta to enforce its own community standards<\/strong> and put an end to the junta’s propaganda operations<\/strong> on its platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udccc\ud83d\udccc 5. Department of Agriculture in Kawthoolei and KNU Economic Committee Provide Agricultural Support for Farmers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Central Department of Agriculture and Cultivation in Kawthoolei<\/strong>, in coordination with the KNU Economic Committee (KECS)<\/strong>, initiated a farming project in Hpa-an District<\/strong>, planting 10 acres<\/strong> using seeds distributed by the departments, according to a release from the Karen National Union (KNU)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the Department of Agriculture and Cultivation in Hpa-an District<\/strong> has assisted local farmers by constructing irrigation canals<\/strong> in their fields to facilitate paddy cultivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, in Taungoo (Taw Oo) District<\/strong>, the local Department of Agriculture distributed seeds to farmers and provided financial assistance for labor costs<\/strong> to cultivate 400 acres<\/strong>, the report says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, farm machinery support<\/strong> was also provided to ease the workload and improve the efficiency of agricultural activities among local farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
