The Taw Kyikan Guerrilla Column<\/em> has released confessions from junta personnel captured during the recent joint offensive against a military outpost based in Taw Wi village<\/strong>, located between Nyaunglebin<\/strong> and Kyaukta Gar<\/strong> in Bago Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In their confessions, the captured junta personnel admitted to having supported the military council<\/strong>, participated in acts of repression against the civilian population<\/strong>, and collaborated with local junta-appointed administrators<\/strong> to enforce conscription laws and recruit youth for military service<\/strong>. They also expressed remorse for their actions<\/strong> and issued apologies to the people<\/strong> for their wrongdoings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attack on the junta outpost in Taw Wi village was carried out on June 25 in the morning<\/strong> by a joint force of the Taw Kyikan Column<\/em> and the Royal Peacock Column<\/em>. During the assault, three junta police officers\u2014Police Captain Thein Zaw Tun<\/strong>, Warrant Officer Aung Myo Oo<\/strong>, and Sergeant Lin Htin<\/strong>\u2014were captured as prisoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the prisoners are being held in humane conditions<\/strong>, and their confessions have been publicly released to inform and raise awareness among the public<\/strong>, the report said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Heavy Junta Casualties, Weapons Seized, and POWs Captured in Chin Forces\u2019 Seizure of Mualpi Outpost, Tedim Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 5<\/strong>, Chin Revolutionary Joint Forces<\/strong> launched an offensive and seized a junta military outpost stationed in Mualpi village<\/strong>, Tedim Township<\/strong>, Chin State<\/strong>. According to Chin news sources, resistance forces seized over 30 small arms<\/strong>, several heavy weapons<\/strong>, and a stockpile of ammunition, bullets, and mines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The outpost had been established as a temporary base<\/strong> since May 18<\/strong>, as part of a military operation advancing from Kale<\/strong>, Sagaing Region, toward northern Chin State<\/strong>, particularly Falam<\/strong> and Tedim Townships<\/strong>. Due to strong resistance from Chin forces, the junta troops had been halted in Mualpi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By late June<\/strong>, Chin joint forces had already overrun parts of junta positions near Mualpi. On July 5<\/strong>, they were able to completely seize control of the village<\/strong>, reports say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the battle, many junta soldiers were killed or injured<\/strong>, while others retreated toward Kale Town<\/strong>. Several junta troops were also captured as prisoners of war (POWs)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the Chin National Army (CNA)<\/strong> confirmed that four of its fighters fell in the battle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on statements from the captured junta soldiers, the offensive force operating in northern Chin includes six battalions with around 800 personnel<\/strong> in total, with a mission to recapture Falam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, reports indicate that the military junta is also preparing for a new offensive toward Mindat<\/strong> in southern Chin by transporting large numbers of troops from Pakokku, Magway Region<\/strong>, using over 120 military trucks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 3. Two-Day Consecutive Resistance Attacks on Patrolling Junta Forces Along Thayet\u2013Minhla Road<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Thayet Township<\/strong>, Magway Region<\/strong>, resistance forces launched two consecutive attacks<\/strong> on junta patrol units along the Thayet\u2013Minhla Road<\/strong>, resulting in casualties among junta personnel, according to a statement from the United States of Burma Army (USBA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 5 at 6:37 p.m.<\/strong>, USBA forces ambushed a joint patrol unit of junta troops and police<\/strong>, which had departed from the Baw Ye police station<\/strong> near Tazeekauk village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next morning, on July 6 at 8:40 a.m.<\/strong>, another joint patrol unit from the Linkael police station<\/strong> near Lakkhopin village<\/strong> was also ambushed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of these attacks, junta personnel reportedly suffered significant casualties<\/strong>, with bodies and the wounded transported to Thayet Hospital<\/strong> for emergency medical treatment. However, the exact number of casualties is still being verified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The USBA confirmed it carried out these attacks and reported that none of their own members were harmed<\/strong>. Due to the possibility of continued escalations, civilians have been urged to remain vigilant and exercise caution<\/strong> when moving through affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 4. Junta Troops Torch Civilian Homes in Moe Bye and Set Fire to Houses in Eastern Ma U Bin Village, Sagaing Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 6<\/strong>, junta troops carried out another round of arson attacks on civilian homes in Moe Bye<\/strong>, located at the border of Shan and Karenni States, while simultaneously launching heavy artillery strikes<\/strong> on nearby villages, according to KPV News Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Light Infantry Battalion 422<\/strong>, stationed in Moe Bye, reportedly fired a large number of heavy weapons<\/strong> into nearby rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arson attacks began after junta forces entered various areas, including the main highway in Moe Bye<\/strong>, on July 2<\/strong>, and have continued to deliberately destroy civilian homes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, at around 2:30 p.m. on July 6<\/strong>, junta troops conducting a long-term column operation in the western part of Sagaing Township<\/strong>, near Nga Htat Gyi Pagoda<\/strong>, looted and transported civilian-owned items<\/strong> from homes continuously for over a month. Once the homes had been emptied of valuables, they began torching houses in Eastern Ma U Bin village<\/strong>, according to reports from pro-resistance local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junta column, consisting of around 300 troops<\/strong>, has spent the entire month of June patrolling through villages<\/strong> in western Sagaing, engaging in raids, looting, arrests, extrajudicial killings<\/strong>, and burning down civilian homes<\/strong>, the report stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Burma Liberation Democratic Front (BLDF)<\/strong> has announced the successful completion of the fourth weekly batch of its Basic Military Training Course<\/strong>, marked by an oath-taking and graduation ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was held on July 5<\/strong> at an undisclosed location in the Upper Myanmar region. The commanding officer<\/strong> delivered a speech during the ceremony, which included oath-taking rituals<\/strong>, a loyalty toast<\/strong>, awards for outstanding trainees<\/strong>, and military demonstrations<\/strong> by the graduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony was attended by BLDF central committee members<\/strong>, commanders<\/strong>, regional military officials<\/strong>, administrative members<\/strong>, township and village-level Pa-Ah-Pha and Pa-Ka-Pha representatives<\/strong>, and local civilians<\/strong> from the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 17 fighters from the junta-aligned Shan Ni Army (SNA)<\/strong> have defected with their weapons and ammunition<\/strong> to the local resistance forces in Homalin District<\/strong>, according to a statement from the People’s Defense Force \u2013 Homalin (Pa-Ka-Pha)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defectors made contact and joined the resistance through Battalions (1) to (4)<\/strong> under Homalin Township PDF<\/strong>, as well as People\u2019s Defense Teams (Pa-Ka-Pha)<\/strong> from Districts 3 and 5<\/strong>, operating under Defense Ministry, Military Region 1<\/strong> of the National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong> in Sagaing Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A welcoming and commendation ceremony<\/strong> was held on July 5<\/strong> at Pinlon Hall<\/strong>, hosted by the People\u2019s Administration Committee of Homalin Township<\/strong>, where the defectors were officially received<\/strong>, rewarded with cash incentives<\/strong>, and submitted their weapons<\/strong> as part of the defection protocol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony was attended by Homalin District supervisory officials<\/strong>, Pa-Ka-Pha leadership from Battalions 1\u20134<\/strong>, Homalin Township-level and local Pa-Ka-Pha members<\/strong>, representatives of the township administration<\/strong>, civilians from nearby regions<\/strong>, and local business owners<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
