Confessions of Junta Prisoners Captured from Taw Wi Outpost Released<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 6<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Taw Kyikan Guerrilla Column<\/em>&nbsp;has released confessions from junta personnel captured during the recent joint offensive against a military outpost based in&nbsp;<strong>Taw Wi village<\/strong>, located between&nbsp;<strong>Nyaunglebin<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Kyaukta Gar<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Bago Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In their confessions, the captured junta personnel admitted to having&nbsp;<strong>supported the military council<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>participated in acts of repression against the civilian population<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>collaborated with local junta-appointed administrators<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>enforce conscription laws and recruit youth for military service<\/strong>. They also expressed&nbsp;<strong>remorse for their actions<\/strong>&nbsp;and issued&nbsp;<strong>apologies to the people<\/strong>&nbsp;for their wrongdoings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack on the junta outpost in Taw Wi village was carried out on&nbsp;<strong>June 25 in the morning<\/strong>&nbsp;by a joint force of the&nbsp;<em>Taw Kyikan Column<\/em>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<em>Royal Peacock Column<\/em>. During the assault, three junta police officers\u2014<strong>Police Captain Thein Zaw Tun<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Warrant Officer Aung Myo Oo<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Sergeant Lin Htin<\/strong>\u2014were captured as prisoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the prisoners are being&nbsp;<strong>held in humane conditions<\/strong>, and their confessions have been publicly released to&nbsp;<strong>inform and raise awareness among the public<\/strong>, the report said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Heavy Junta Casualties, Weapons Seized, and POWs Captured in Chin Forces\u2019 Seizure of Mualpi Outpost, Tedim Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 6<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>July 5<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Chin Revolutionary Joint Forces<\/strong>&nbsp;launched an offensive and seized a junta military outpost stationed in&nbsp;<strong>Mualpi village<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Tedim Township<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Chin State<\/strong>. According to Chin news sources, resistance forces seized over&nbsp;<strong>30 small arms<\/strong>, several&nbsp;<strong>heavy weapons<\/strong>, and a stockpile of&nbsp;<strong>ammunition, bullets, and mines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The outpost had been established as a&nbsp;<strong>temporary base<\/strong>&nbsp;since&nbsp;<strong>May 18<\/strong>, as part of a military operation advancing from&nbsp;<strong>Kale<\/strong>, Sagaing Region, toward&nbsp;<strong>northern Chin State<\/strong>, particularly&nbsp;<strong>Falam<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Tedim Townships<\/strong>. Due to strong resistance from Chin forces, the junta troops had been&nbsp;<strong>halted in Mualpi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By&nbsp;<strong>late June<\/strong>, Chin joint forces had already overrun parts of junta positions near Mualpi. On&nbsp;<strong>July 5<\/strong>, they were able to&nbsp;<strong>completely seize control of the village<\/strong>, reports say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the battle, many junta soldiers were&nbsp;<strong>killed or injured<\/strong>, while others&nbsp;<strong>retreated toward Kale Town<\/strong>. Several junta troops were also&nbsp;<strong>captured as prisoners of war (POWs)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the&nbsp;<strong>Chin National Army (CNA)<\/strong>&nbsp;confirmed that&nbsp;<strong>four of its fighters fell in the battle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on statements from the captured junta soldiers, the offensive force operating in northern Chin includes&nbsp;<strong>six battalions with around 800 personnel<\/strong>&nbsp;in total, with a mission to&nbsp;<strong>recapture Falam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, reports indicate that the military junta is also preparing for a new offensive toward&nbsp;<strong>Mindat<\/strong>&nbsp;in southern Chin by&nbsp;<strong>transporting large numbers of troops from Pakokku, Magway Region<\/strong>, using over&nbsp;<strong>120 military trucks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. Two-Day Consecutive Resistance Attacks on Patrolling Junta Forces Along Thayet\u2013Minhla Road<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 6<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Thayet Township<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Magway Region<\/strong>, resistance forces launched&nbsp;<strong>two consecutive attacks<\/strong>&nbsp;on junta patrol units along the&nbsp;<strong>Thayet\u2013Minhla Road<\/strong>, resulting in casualties among junta personnel, according to a statement from the&nbsp;<strong>United States of Burma Army (USBA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>July 5 at 6:37 p.m.<\/strong>, USBA forces ambushed a&nbsp;<strong>joint patrol unit of junta troops and police<\/strong>, which had departed from the&nbsp;<strong>Baw Ye police station<\/strong>&nbsp;near&nbsp;<strong>Tazeekauk village<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next morning, on&nbsp;<strong>July 6 at 8:40 a.m.<\/strong>, another joint patrol unit from the&nbsp;<strong>Linkael police station<\/strong>&nbsp;near&nbsp;<strong>Lakkhopin village<\/strong>&nbsp;was also&nbsp;<strong>ambushed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of these attacks, junta personnel reportedly suffered&nbsp;<strong>significant casualties<\/strong>, with&nbsp;<strong>bodies and the wounded transported to Thayet Hospital<\/strong>&nbsp;for emergency medical treatment. However, the exact number of casualties is still being verified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The USBA confirmed it carried out these attacks and reported that&nbsp;<strong>none of their own members were harmed<\/strong>. Due to the possibility of continued escalations, civilians have been&nbsp;<strong>urged to remain vigilant and exercise caution<\/strong>&nbsp;when moving through affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. Junta Troops Torch Civilian Homes in Moe Bye and Set Fire to Houses in Eastern Ma U Bin Village, Sagaing Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 6<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>July 6<\/strong>, junta troops carried out another round of&nbsp;<strong>arson attacks on civilian homes in Moe Bye<\/strong>, located at the border of Shan and Karenni States, while simultaneously launching&nbsp;<strong>heavy artillery strikes<\/strong>&nbsp;on nearby villages, according to KPV News Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition,&nbsp;<strong>Light Infantry Battalion 422<\/strong>, stationed in Moe Bye, reportedly fired&nbsp;<strong>a large number of heavy weapons<\/strong>&nbsp;into nearby rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arson attacks began after junta forces&nbsp;<strong>entered various areas, including the main highway in Moe Bye<\/strong>, on&nbsp;<strong>July 2<\/strong>, and have continued to&nbsp;<strong>deliberately destroy civilian homes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, at around&nbsp;<strong>2:30 p.m. on July 6<\/strong>, junta troops conducting a long-term column operation in the&nbsp;<strong>western part of Sagaing Township<\/strong>, near&nbsp;<strong>Nga Htat Gyi Pagoda<\/strong>, looted and transported&nbsp;<strong>civilian-owned items<\/strong>&nbsp;from homes continuously for over a month. Once the homes had been emptied of valuables, they&nbsp;<strong>began torching houses in Eastern Ma U Bin village<\/strong>, according to reports from pro-resistance local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta column, consisting of&nbsp;<strong>around 300 troops<\/strong>, has spent the entire month of&nbsp;<strong>June patrolling through villages<\/strong>&nbsp;in western Sagaing, engaging in&nbsp;<strong>raids, looting, arrests, extrajudicial killings<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>burning down civilian homes<\/strong>, the report stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5. Week-4 Graduation Ceremony of the Basic Military Training Program Held by the Burma Liberation Democratic Front (BLDF)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 6<\/strong><br><strong>Radio NUG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Burma Liberation Democratic Front (BLDF)<\/strong>&nbsp;has announced the successful completion of the&nbsp;<strong>fourth weekly batch of its Basic Military Training Course<\/strong>, marked by an oath-taking and graduation ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was held on&nbsp;<strong>July 5<\/strong>&nbsp;at an undisclosed location in the Upper Myanmar region.
