\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 1. Chin Council Urges Immediate Halt to Military Preparations and Avoidance of Armed Conflict Between Chin Ethnic Groups<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 4<\/strong>
The Chinland Council<\/strong> has issued a call for the immediate suspension of all military mobilizations and for restraint in order to prevent armed conflict among Chin ethnic groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This appeal came through a statement released on the evening of July 3<\/strong>, following clashes between the Chin Defence Force (CDF-Hualngoram)<\/strong> and the Chin National Defence Force (CNDF)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chinland Council urged leaders from both sides to avoid igniting large-scale, irreparable military conflict between Chin brethren<\/strong>, and called on both forces to mutually recognize territorial boundaries<\/strong>, halt military build-ups<\/strong>, and return to their respective bases<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the statement, the Chinland Council is working to advance the elimination of military dictatorship<\/strong>, the unity of the entire Chin nation<\/strong>, and the realization of the full right to self-determination and autonomous governance<\/strong> for Chin Indigenous people, through a balanced military and political strategy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Council noted that this is a sensitive period aimed at reconciling current internal divisions<\/strong> and facilitating the emergence of the Chin National Council<\/strong>, which would represent all Chin people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It stated that the ongoing fighting began because CNO\/CNDF forces launched an offensive into the territory of Hualngoram People\u2019s Organization<\/strong>, a member of the Chinland Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such military action, the Council emphasized, undermines the efforts toward Chin national unity and state-building<\/strong>, and may jeopardize the process of establishing the Chin National Council<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given that CDF-Hualngoram<\/strong> and CNDF<\/strong> both share the common objective of resisting the military dictatorship, the Chin Brotherhood Network<\/strong> also urged them to meet, negotiate, and resolve the issue peacefully<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9 2. Two Political Prisoners Re-Arrested at Thayarwaddy Prison After Conditional Release<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

July 4<\/strong>
According to the Political Prisoners Network – Myanmar (PPNM)<\/strong>, some unlawfully detained political prisoners were conditionally released on July 1<\/strong> from various prisons across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among them, four political prisoners<\/strong> were released from Thayarwaddy Prison<\/strong>. However, two of them\u2014U Htun Htun Aung (a legal defense lawyer and former MP) and Ko Naing Lin Tun\u2014were immediately re-arrested<\/strong> inside the prison compound upon their release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the two re-arrested political prisoners are reportedly being held at Thayarwaddy Town Police Station<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PDF issued the following statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith deep respect, we share that we have now received equipment through the contributions of our revolutionary parents\u2014the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of us involved in this resistance, in our own ways and without being pushed by anyone, are simply driven by a clear belief:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Tachileik<\/strong>, a town in Shan State<\/strong>, the water level of Mae Sai Creek<\/strong> has risen approximately two inches above the danger threshold<\/strong> as of this morning, according to reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Measurements taken at 9:00 a.m. on July 4<\/strong> indicate that Mae Sai Creek has exceeded the town\u2019s designated danger level by about two inches<\/strong>, and it is projected that the water level may continue rising over the next 12 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, local community support organizations<\/strong> have issued public warnings, advising residents living along the creek to remain alert and exercise caution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
