Kyaukse District Battalion 2 Rejoins MOD Command and Apologizes to Authorities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Kyaukse District Battalion 2<\/strong>&nbsp;in Mandalay Region, which had previously submitted a request to withdraw from the command of the&nbsp;<strong>Ministry of Defense (MOD)<\/strong>&nbsp;under the&nbsp;<strong>National Unity Government (NUG)<\/strong>, has announced on&nbsp;<strong>July 2<\/strong>&nbsp;that it will rejoin and operate under MOD command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although the battalion submitted its withdrawal request on&nbsp;<strong>April 21<\/strong>&nbsp;this year, the statement now clarifies that the action was based on a&nbsp;<strong>misunderstanding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The battalion admitted that the request stemmed from a misunderstanding and that they now fully comprehend the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kyaukse District Battalion 2 also extended an&nbsp;<strong>apology to responsible authorities<\/strong>&nbsp;for their prior statements and actions made in error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As such, the battalion has pledged to continue operating under the&nbsp;<strong>rules, protocols, orders, directives, and regulations<\/strong>&nbsp;issued by the MOD Central Command, and to fight under its leadership until the fall of the military dictatorship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Three Consecutive Days of Ambushes on Junta Convoy Along Salin\u2013Sinphyukyun Road Leave 7 Soldiers Dead<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta military convoy traveling along the&nbsp;<strong>Salin\u2013Sinphyukyun road<\/strong>&nbsp;in Magway Region was ambushed for three consecutive days with landmines and attacks, resulting in&nbsp;<strong>7 junta soldiers killed<\/strong>&nbsp;and many others injured, according to the&nbsp;<strong>People\u2019s Defense Force (PDF) \u2013 PaKaPha Salin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of&nbsp;<strong>June 28<\/strong>, a military column of approximately&nbsp;<strong>200 troops<\/strong>, accompanied by&nbsp;<strong>2 trucks, 2 armored vehicles, and 3 support vehicles<\/strong>, moved from&nbsp;<strong>Salin Township<\/strong>&nbsp;toward&nbsp;<strong>Sinphyukyun Township<\/strong>. They were ambushed with mines and gunfire, leading to the reported deaths of 7 soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Later that day, at around 2 p.m., heavy fighting broke out near&nbsp;<strong>Tharsi village<\/strong>&nbsp;for about three hours due to reinforcements arriving in 2 additional trucks. By evening, the junta troops retreated toward&nbsp;<strong>Myauk Magyi Kone village<\/strong>, where they looted and disturbed civilian homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of&nbsp;<strong>June 29<\/strong>, the convoy advanced toward&nbsp;<strong>Sinphyukyun<\/strong>&nbsp;and was ambushed again with landmines around&nbsp;<strong>8 a.m.<\/strong>, between&nbsp;<strong>Moe Wun<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Tharyetkyin villages<\/strong>, causing further casualties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At approximately&nbsp;<strong>11:30 a.m.<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Pan Htein Kone village<\/strong>, another clash occurred. Junta troops burned down houses in the village and retreated again toward&nbsp;<strong>Tharsi village<\/strong>, where&nbsp;<strong>ammunition and supplies were seized<\/strong>&nbsp;by local forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>June 30<\/strong>, heavy weapon exchanges occurred between the junta and resistance forces in&nbsp;<strong>Tharsi village<\/strong>, and by&nbsp;<strong>July 1<\/strong>, the junta convoy had retreated from&nbsp;<strong>Salin Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Salin PDF<\/strong>&nbsp;confirmed that&nbsp;<strong>three resistance fighters were seriously wounded<\/strong>&nbsp;during these engagements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. Terrorist Junta Burns Down Around 200 Civilian Homes in 11 Villages in Minhla Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In western Bago Region\u2019s&nbsp;<strong>Tharyarwaddy District<\/strong>, the junta\u2019s advancing military columns burned down over&nbsp;<strong>200 civilian houses<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>11 villages<\/strong>&nbsp;within&nbsp;<strong>Minhla Township<\/strong>&nbsp;over a span of&nbsp;<strong>five days<\/strong>, according to the&nbsp;<strong>Minhla Township People\u2019s Defense Team<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Documented records show:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>June 20<\/strong>: 25 houses in\u00a0<strong>Taungpyat Ywarthit village<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>June 22<\/strong>: 5 houses in\u00a0<strong>Yway Kone village<\/strong>\u00a0and 4 in\u00a0<strong>U Toe Kywelan Su village<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>June 23<\/strong>: 20 houses in\u00a0<strong>Bohtataung<\/strong>, 8 in\u00a0<strong>Sar Chaung<\/strong>, 8 in\u00a0<strong>Sin Aing Chaung Pauk<\/strong>, 5 in\u00a0<strong>Kangawpin<\/strong>, and around 50 in\u00a0<strong>Ngalat Sann<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>June 24<\/strong>: 5 houses in\u00a0<strong>Sambot<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>June 25<\/strong>: 15 in\u00a0<strong>Khwet Ma<\/strong>\u00a0and around 40 in\u00a0<strong>Kwelmakine<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Defense Team noted that these figures are conservative and actual damage may be higher on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the morning of&nbsp;<strong>July 2<\/strong>, the junta also burned&nbsp;<strong>Zaritmyoung village<\/strong>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<strong>Khwet Ma village tract<\/strong>&nbsp;and set fire to&nbsp;<strong>Shwe Pauk Pin village<\/strong>&nbsp;at&nbsp;<strong>11:20 a.m.<\/strong>&nbsp;Additionally, reports suggest&nbsp;<strong>five women<\/strong>&nbsp;from Zaritmyoung were abducted for&nbsp;<strong>forced labor<\/strong>&nbsp;as porters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both villages were previously burned down by the junta on&nbsp;<strong>April 30<\/strong>, leaving them completely destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among those abducted in&nbsp;<strong>Zaritmyoung<\/strong>&nbsp;were&nbsp;<strong>Ma Thinzar Oo, Ma Par Par, Ma A Thei, and Ma Mi Cho<\/strong>. They are reportedly being held at&nbsp;<strong>Zaritmyoung Monastery<\/strong>&nbsp;as&nbsp;<strong>human shields<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;<strong>Takalay village<\/strong>, junta troops stationed at&nbsp;<strong>Daw Win Thei&#8217;s rice mill<\/strong>&nbsp;have been indiscriminately shelling civilian areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On&nbsp;<strong>June 20<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Brigadier General Win Thu Lin<\/strong>, Commander of&nbsp;<strong>Military Division 66<\/strong>, arrived at&nbsp;<strong>Kha Lan Ya-1 Base in Seinkan village<\/strong>, ordering troops to&nbsp;<strong>torch villages east of the Yangon-Pyay highway<\/strong>, resulting in the looting of valuable property from civilian homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4.
