Four Civilians Killed in Taungtha Township Due to Indiscriminate Shelling by the Military Junta<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Public Administration Team of Taungtha Township,&nbsp;<strong>four civilians were killed<\/strong>&nbsp;as a result of indiscriminate shelling by the junta troops currently conducting military operations along the border area between&nbsp;<strong>Myingyan and Taungtha townships<\/strong>&nbsp;in Mandalay Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;<strong>junta column of around 150 troops<\/strong>, which had set fire to civilian homes in villages along the Myingyan-Taungtha border, was attacked by revolutionary resistance forces, reportedly resulting in casualties on the junta\u2019s side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This military column departed from&nbsp;<strong>Ngathayauk village tract in Myingyan Township on June 26<\/strong>, targeting civilian homes in&nbsp;<strong>Kamma, Zaymagyi, Sintharmwe, Tawphyar, and Thanatpin villages<\/strong>, burning them down before proceeding to&nbsp;<strong>villages in the western part of Taungtha Township<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to attacks by revolutionary forces, the column was forced to change direction. To reinforce the column, additional junta troops and Pyusawhti militia from&nbsp;<strong>Myinchan<\/strong>&nbsp;fired heavy artillery from&nbsp;<strong>Htanpinkant Village<\/strong>&nbsp;in Taungtha Township. The shells landed on&nbsp;<strong>Theekone Village<\/strong>, hitting civilian homes and killing&nbsp;<strong>two men and two women<\/strong>, while&nbsp;<strong>two others were injured<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta column continued advancing along the Myingyan\u2013Taungtha border and reached&nbsp;<strong>Kinzalote Village<\/strong>, where revolutionary groups launched a counteroffensive on&nbsp;<strong>June 27<\/strong>, splitting into three units and using heavy and light weapons, including drones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response, the junta deployed&nbsp;<strong>two MI-35 helicopters<\/strong>&nbsp;for air support. In retaliation, the retreating junta troops burned down&nbsp;<strong>three civilian homes in Kinzalote Village<\/strong>&nbsp;and eventually&nbsp;<strong>withdrew to Ngathayauk Police Station in the early morning of June 28<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This joint resistance operation was carried out by&nbsp;<strong>Taungtha Township People\u2019s Defense Team<\/strong>, together with&nbsp;<strong>Battalion 801 of Naypyidaw<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Meiktila Revolutionary Force<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>DSNDA People\u2019s Defense Force<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>Battalion 3 of Myinchan District<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>2. Junta Destroys Paukkaung\u2013Oattwin Road Connecting Pyay and Taungoo Districts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>military junta has deliberately destroyed the Paukkaung\u2013Oattwin road<\/strong>, which connects&nbsp;<strong>Pyay District and Taungoo District<\/strong>, in Bago Region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to&nbsp;<em>Pyay Underground News PUGN<\/em>, the destruction took place on&nbsp;<strong>June 30 and July 1<\/strong>, when the junta forces cut off and dismantled the road\u2014part of the main transportation route in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This act is believed to be part of the junta\u2019s broader strategy to&nbsp;<strong>suppress and isolate local populations<\/strong>&nbsp;in Pyay District, where residents have increasingly resisted its authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The junta&#8217;s military forces continue to commit atrocities in the region, including&nbsp;<strong>burning civilian homes, arresting and torturing civilians, and extrajudicial killings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>3. Junta Troops and Pyusawhti Militias Abduct Civilians from Villages in Kanbalu Township<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<strong>Kanbalu Township Activist Network (Kanbalu District)<\/strong>, junta troops and Pyusawhti militias from&nbsp;<strong>Thankone<\/strong>&nbsp;in Kanbalu Township&nbsp;<strong>abducted civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>Oatpho and Khawthanti villages<\/strong>&nbsp;and forcibly took them into Thankone Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At around&nbsp;<strong>7:45 AM on July 2<\/strong>, junta forces and Pyusawhti members swept into the two villages, seizing residents by force and taking them away to&nbsp;<strong>Thankone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past three consecutive days, junta forces and Pyusawhti groups\u2014numbering nearly&nbsp;<strong>100 personnel<\/strong>\u2014have carried out operations across Kanbalu Township,&nbsp;<strong>burning down villages and killing civilians<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to these attacks, an estimated&nbsp;<strong>8,000 civilians<\/strong>&nbsp;from&nbsp;<strong>Seikphyo, Kyaungkone<\/strong>, and nearby villages have fled their homes in search of safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>4. Approximately 20 Junta Troops and Pyusawhti Militias Killed in Artillery Strike on Myauk Khin Yan Pyu Village<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the&nbsp;<strong>Ah Nyar Heroes resistance group<\/strong>, around&nbsp;<strong>20 junta soldiers and Pyusawhti militiamen<\/strong>&nbsp;were killed during an artillery strike on&nbsp;<strong>Myauk Khin Yan Pyu village<\/strong>, a junta-backed Pyusawhti stronghold located in&nbsp;<strong>Gangaw Township, Magway Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The artillery attack took place on&nbsp;<strong>June 29<\/strong>, targeting Myauk Khin Yan Pyu village, and was carried out as a&nbsp;<strong>retaliatory operation<\/strong>&nbsp;in response to the&nbsp;<strong>burning and killing of two resistance fighters<\/strong>&nbsp;by junta forces and their affiliates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ah Nyar Heroes stated that this operation was part of their ongoing resistance campaign and emphasized that&nbsp;<strong>they are now resuming quiet and careful strategic movements<\/strong>. They also called on the public to&nbsp;<strong>remain strong<\/strong>&nbsp;and expressed&nbsp;<strong>gratitude to supporters and contributors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>5. Junta Torches Zayatmyoung Village in Minhla Township for the Second Time<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At around&nbsp;<strong>11 a.m. on July 2<\/strong>, junta troops&nbsp;<strong>set fire to Zayatmyoung village<\/strong>\u2014located in&nbsp;<strong>Khwetma village tract, Minhla Township<\/strong>, in the western part of Tharyarwaddy District, Bago Region\u2014<strong>for the second time<\/strong>, according to local sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thick smoke was seen billowing from the village, indicating a large-scale fire caused by junta soldiers. The attack occurred while&nbsp;<strong>the residents had already fled and the village was deserted<\/strong>, local reports confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, on&nbsp;<strong>April 30<\/strong>, junta forces also burned down the eastern part of Zayatmyoung village. This time, they reportedly destroyed the remaining civilian houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>Minhla Thadin information group<\/strong>&nbsp;stated that the second wave of destruction follows the&nbsp;<strong>deaths of several junta officers, including a deputy battalion commander, in recent clashes<\/strong>. In response, the&nbsp;<strong>military is carrying out a brutal \u201carea clearance\u201d campaign<\/strong>, systematically torching villages across the township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>========================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udea9\ud83d\udea9&nbsp;<strong>6.
